We stopped here in our RV. It was recommended by Moorings Oceanfront campground on our way to Bay Harbor. We really enjoyed seeing the LIVE seafood and talking with the owners. We really liked the seafood. We had some precooked by them and some to take and cook later. The scallops and lobster were great! I’m trying to get a hold of them now to see if I can get 7 LIVE lobsters for our Thanksgiving, that we celebrate on Saturday!

We were staying in Stockton Springs at an AirBnb place & Shutes was recommended to us. The folks were very nice, explained the difference in soft & hard shell lobster. The prices were excellent. We are eating a 3.3 lb lobster tonight!

We’ve found this seafood market just by chance yesterday July 21, 2015, on our way to Ellsworth, we’ve bought Lobster, Clams, Mussels and etc. reasonable prices, good customer service and friendly. They have the freshest seafood ever. We will come back.

Shutes Seafood opened in July 2013. I moved to Stockton Springs from New Jersey in September 2013. I bought lobster at Shutes the first week and have been going back ever since, even though I moved 11 miles away. They have the freshest lobster, mussels, and clams. The crabmeat is excellent and the haddock can’t be beat. Although there are other places to buy seafood, I only shop at Shutes. The prices are reasonable and everything is fresh.

A seafood store… sells several types of lobster… great clams… some haddock. Lobster meat. Great value. Got a lobster and two lbs clams for $ 17. Nice people… very helpful.
