Professional income tax preparation ranging in complexity from super simple to extremely complex — all handled with the idea of doing the best for the clients unique situation. We specialize in many areas, including clergy, law enforcement, small business, daycare, construction, sales managers, medical professionals and truck drivers. We also work with clients who owe the IRS or FTB to settle their debts through offer in compromise and installment agreements. We represent taxpayers who are under audit. We also work with people who have not filed taxes in years to bring them current. Our bookkeeping department works with clients at their location or ours. We also offer payroll services, personal financial planning and estate planning. We offer all our services from a relational perspective and believe in looking at the big picture, not just the moment at hand. We love what we do, and look forward to working with you!

History

Established in 1995.

In 1995, All About Numbers began preparing taxes, providing payroll and bookkeeping services and helping small businesses with their accounting software. Year 1 saw a whopping total of 20 tax returns prepared. Today, we prepare nearly 3,000 returns per year, ranging from simple 1040EZ’s to extremely complex returns involving multiple businesses. In 2004 our founder, Laura Strombom, was named Business Person of the Year by the Greater Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce, and in 2008 she was named Champion of Women in Business by the Small Business Administration. In 2010 she completed an intense 3 year program on representing clients before the IRS in audit and collections issues earning her the designation NTPI Fellow. She works with the whole team mentoring them to excellence. Our team currently includes 2 Enrolled Agents and 9 California Registered Tax Preparers, as well as several bookkeepers and administrative staff.

Laura S.

Manager

In 1990 graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Animal Science, with the dream of becoming a vet. By 1992 she found herself working as a controller for a group of related businesses, after a 7 year career in retail management (which started while in college) using the Accounting courses she took in college. In 1995 she founded All About Numbers. In 1999 she graduated from Golden Gate University with an Executive MBA. She taught at Heald College and University of Phoenix until AAN grew too much for her to continue to teach. In 2000 she passed the Special Enrollment Examination issued by the IRS to achieve the status of Enrolled Agent. In 2004 she was named Business Person of the Year by GSACC. The SBA recognized her as a Champion of Women in Business in 2008. In 2010 she completed a 3 year educational program on representing clients before the IRS through the National Tax Practitioners Institute earning the designation NTPI Fellow. She regularly speaks on taxes and personal finance.
