Broadway Moving And Storage

I was happy, but not overly impressed with the overall service from this company when we hired them in January 2011.
The guys who did the packing were very friendly and seemed fast, thought it took longer than they expected and everyone was clearly tired by the end of the day!
Moving went smoothly, though some guys on the crew were different than the guys who packed, so I was glad I was there to supervise the entire time. A couple of things got broken (two old floor lamps) and a bed frame got scratched, but I think is par for the course with moving.
The guys who unpacked were not very friendly and really bad mouthed the packing job done by the other crew! I thought that was very unprofessional, though they were right, who packs live plants in a box with brown paper on top???
We bought a house, so we are moving again. I thought I would find a better company for this move. After reading all the Unilocal reviews, comparing prices, and calling around, I am having Broadway come out to give me an estimate. Why? They offer an in home estimate and a «not to exceed» price quote. Last time they took longer than they estimated, but only charged us the price from the estimate! I’ll put up with a couple of packing mistakes not to get ripped off by a company that charges an hourly rate and won’t even come out to give me an estimate. I’ll post again if we decide to go with them for this move too.
