Staff is amazing, kind and patient. It was my first time getting glasses and wanted to get the right shape for my face. Roseanne was patient and gave me lots to pick from. Glasses came in early and my insurance paid almost everything! Office procedures make for a quick check in and efficient visit. Definitely recommend to anyone, even children.

Excellent service every time I interact with them. They have very reasonable prices for different types of lens and frame combination. They helped my client get a good pair of glasses. The glasses later had a problem and they repaired it for free when they didn’t have to. My client is very thankful for their help.

Dr. David Benkle and his staff are not only genuine individuals, who take their time to make sure you get exactly what you need, but what you’ll love. Whether it’s deciding on the most comfortable contacts, or getting new glasses that look great, the whole staff was fun to be around and helped me get everything figured out. I drive from Rocklin, CA to this office and will do it every time because they’re worth it. I have worn glasses most of my life and been to many eye doctors. Dr. Benkle is the kindest and most helpful I’ve known.
The exam was also the easiest I’ve ever had. I don’t know how he did it, but when he was determining my prescription, could figure out what my eye preferred without me even answering very many of the «1 or 2» questions… and this is the most accurate my prescription has felt in years.
It’s true, as I read in some of these comments, that it’s a rough area of town, but the staff made sure I got to my car safely and looked out for me. So don’t let that stop you, I will go again (and I was told if you park in the structure next door, they’ll validate parking!)
Every single time I have worn my new glasses, I get so many compliments! I haven’t loved wearing glasses before, now I even prefer them a lot of days! I’ve never felt this confident in glasses and love how I look in them. Thanks to Dr. Benkle and his staff for helping me pick the perfect pair in just minutes! They really listen and know what you like, so it was all so easy!
I’ll be back for my next round and looking forward to it!

I could not be more shocked at the unprofessionalism.

I’m not a fan of glasses but when I came out of there sporting new glasses for my vision, the Tech found me the perfect fit for my face. I’ve recommend this place to all my family members because they speak Spanish and genuinely are interested in making you feel comfortable and happy with your selection.
— 1 Star The NEGATIVE about this place is that you can walk by and miss it for an empty looking ghetto office. It blends in with the bight looking empty buildings downtown. All they NEED to do is put a little more effort in making their little diamond office shine in the rough looking downtown district.

wearing glasses sucks. they’re a pain, they always get broken when wrestling with your kid or playing sports. they always fog up or get sweat dripped into them when working out.
even the act of having to go to see the eye doctor is no fun.
i’ve been to maybe 10 or 12 different places to get my eyes dialed in and new prescriptions or whatever… walmart to lens crafters to dr blah blah… it’s always such a nuisance.
«1 or 2?» they say…“uh…i’m not sure, can you do it again?” «1 or 2…1 or 2? lemme try again for you… ONE…TWO…» it gets real old, real fast. half the time you end up just picking a number to get it over with. and unfortunately, those of us who wear glasses HAVE to suffer through it.
then i saw dr benkle. WOW! it was actually FUN! and FAST! literally, it took no more than 10 minutes before he had me reading ALL of the ²⁰⁄₁₅ line… and i could even read most of the ²⁰⁄₁₀ line! normally, my vision is 20/​100, corrected to about ²⁰⁄₄₀!
i’ve been living in the sacramento area for the better part of 12 years… i live in elk grove now, but based on peoples recommendations of dr benkle, i took the chance and drove 45 minutes to see him. i wish i’d found him 4 pairs of glasses ago.
he, his staff, his offices… all wonderful and welcoming. i HIGHLY recommend making your next eye appt with dr benkle.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 4, and I am now 29. I’ve neglected to get a check-​up for the past 4 years, because face it, its not usually a fun experience. This all changed with Dr. Benkle today.
The office was very professional, yet welcoming and warm. All team members of Dr. Benkle were professional, yet personable. At no point did I feel rushed, and enjoyed converstations with everyone there. They truly care about you as a person, not just a customer. I was laughing so much that I had a hard time keeping still during the exam, because Dr. Benkle is one of those guys you connect with instantly.
My eye sight is VERY bad with many problems, and with other doctors in the past, I would get tired and frustrated during the testing. Dr. Benkle was so patient and could tell, and would change things up or converse to keep me from getting frustrated. He didn’t give up until it was perfect, and the journey to get there was painless. He has a passion for what he does, and it shows in his work.
I drove 56 miles each way to see him based off of a recommendation, and it was worth every second of the drive. Even if I move out of state, I will continue to have my eyes taken care of by Dr. Benkle and his wonderful team.

Small time feel in a big city! I recently moved to Stockton from Chico, Ca and I needed to reorder contacts. With the stress of a new place and transferring jobs I could not get back in to office or into the office in Lodi to pick up my contacts. Dr. Benkle’s staff was kind enough to ship them to my house on their behalf. They were great in the office, pleasant on the phone and made sure I would be taken care of after.

I have been to many eye doctors in my life and this is one of the best offices I’ve been to. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Dr Benkle spends a lot of time with you reviewing your medical history as well as giving a detailed exam explaining new and known treatments for dry eyes, one of my biggest problems. I’ve brought my whole family to him and we’ve all received the best treatment. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good eye Doctor
