J & D Spas and Stoves

J & D Spas and stoves are fantastic! They put our fire place insert in a year ago and it has worked perfectly. Today Mike came out and showed us how to replace the insert batteries so the remote would work. He also cleaned the insert window. The owners Denise and John are fantastic people. Their business is top notch with customer service a top priority. I would highly recommend doing business with them.

I have a 20 year old spa that I bought from a private party. Twice I have called John at J&D spas with a problem. Both times he has helped me solve the problem with no pressure to make a service call. I love small businesses. Both John and his wife Denise are open, honest, and fantastic to get along with. John told me ways to check my spa components that saved me money and lots of time. He even offered cheaper alternatives to the repairs that did not profit their business. You don’t get that kind of service and honesty from the big stores. I’m sure I can get parts and accessories from the big stores for a few less bucks, but you don’t get the great service and if there is ever a problem with a part I know I will get all the help I need from J & D to make it right.

I spent a month researching an upscale spa purchase. I went into J&D three times and met with Denise each time. She’s a wonderful lady and gave me some good advice. Since I’m in the Stockton area and appreciate small business I leaned toward them, but unfortunately they are/​were unable to compete on price. I found a similar Jacuzzi for $ 2600 less, with relatively good purchase/​service experience. If price is not an issue for you, buy here and they will likely give you great service. If you’re on a budget, you should shop elsewhere.

John & Mike installed our gas insert this week and we could not be happier. With the demand for rebates, places like J & D are busy. Everywhere we shopped pretty much the same. Here are the floor samples, here are the brochures; when you get your rebate approved, come in and we will give you more time. Better service from start to finish with J & D. John gave us great advice, came to our home to look over proposed project, and was professional and courteous. Most highly recommended. Finished job looks great.

John is a hot head and seldom delivers on his word, he often has many excuses for his lack of delivery. If you should question him stand back or pull the phone from your ear as he will certainly let you have it.
Denise, John’s wife is awesome. She is good at follow through and does exactly what she says.
I bought my spa from this company 8 years ago. They used to have a technician that was good however he is no longer employed with this company.
I was say that Johns commitment to customer satisfaction is not inline with his Unilocal quote. I am personally a fan of small business vs. big corporate giants however John has a thing or two to learn.
