Mariners Drive Self Storage

I most certainly would not recommend this storage to anyone I cared about. They are con artists at best. They will tell you «oh yeah, its ok to bring your fees Thursday then charge you an extra $ 25 on Wednesday. And if you’re lucky someone might even be there to let you into the indoor units. Do yourself a favor, go find a cheaper storage.

Beware of this place it is rat infested! all my belongings are ruined! I had to throw almost everything away. If I would have known about this problem I would never have rented a storage unit here. They told me that if I would have purchased their secure Lease Insurance I would have been covered but instead I had my own, renters insurance, which never covers rodents. I was never informed about the rats! So pissed and disgusted!

This used to be a great storage facility, the people in charge really helped you out and they had competitive prices. NOW, the new people have jacked prices by 75% because «They deserve what’s fair like the other storage companies get.» They also changed their hours without notifying the customers (but they let us know prices were going up not one, but two ways) and they never answer the phone. We will be moving our stuff out to a place closer to our home as they were only worth the drive because of the deal, but since they are similarly priced to big companies and have terrible customer service now there is no need to stay. We have been storing here for 2.5 years and the last month has been enough garbage to make us want to go.

I have been a long time customer here and an really satisfied with the service I have received. Every time I have needed a u haul or anything Dan has always been the one to help me. Dan saved me time, I told him I had a 3 bedroom apartment I had to move, and he told me the size truck I should get. And the price was good right. I an a happy customer and would recommend to all my friends and family.

I was referred by a friend for a storage unit here and I am totally happy that I did. I worked with them the weekend I was moving and they gave me a great deal (I paid for 6 months…) I think it’s a family owned place and so far I am completely happy with Mariners.

the manager, daniel is a very confrontational jerk!
the only reason i gave them a rating, so i can leave a review on how pathetic of a business this place is.
the manager daniel started a fight with me in july 2013 in the office, and again on august 28, 2013.
he likes tell people what to do, and conducts his personal business «lucky punk industries clothing there, during business hours, without helping customers.
–he has made threats to me, and has had problems with other tenants, based on what daniel has told me before.
–my friend and i were there when he once again started a fight.
–the police have been notified about the whole issue, including the regional manager craig, that has done nothing to resolve the issue, as i spoke to him in person, as well on 08/​19/​2013.
–guaranteed, they have had these issues with other tenants.
–do not business with these people!
–i have other read the reviews of other tenants that were unhappy and disappointed with these people, and i should have known better.

The family has a storage unit here. Been very satisfied with the
setup and operation… much different then it was four or five years ago
when the one star reviews were written.
New management… completely different operation.
Very personable manager and office person.
Competitive rates… totally a fan!

I have now been a tenant here at Mariners Drive Self Storage for 6 months and I can say I am completely happy with them.
The people who manage the property are very friendly… it’s a family type place, nothing corporate and huge about this place… very personalized customer service. They had given me a great deal for the first 6 months (I prepaid 4 months and they gave me an extra two months) and they were more than willing to extend that same offer again. I feel very secure with my stuff here and I would be more than willing to recommend them to a friend.

Stored here for over a year. Never had an issue and the staff was great. They make it pretty convenient being they have Uhaul also.

This place is a horrible joke. They have cheap prices but that’s because they’re a cheap company. They waste your time and are inconsiderate. If you have an indoor unit you need a key but the front desk person has the key and half the time they’re not there because there is only one of them who works 7 days a week. Also sometimes the gate doesn’t work and sometimes they just leave it open… Which begs the question why have barbed wire?
I got what I payed for: (lesson learned.

The only reason this place gets a star is because you can’t Unilocal without a rating. We went in 3÷25÷08 reserved a 8×10 storage unit and the truck for 5÷2÷08. we asked if we needed to put down a deposit and the girl said oh no, just put your number down on the list for the truck. Well needless to say we arranged a lot of people to help with the move, arrived at 10 because she said that’s when we open. Well poor communication, sign said 11 on sunday. So we went to Manteca, loaded up the pickup and came back… well no one picked up the phone to open the gate!!! We followed someone else in the gate and found the note on the office door, we will be closed 5÷4÷08. They cost us a ton of money and a lot of time and gas! All they had to do is call us, but never did. We had to scramble around find a storage and rent a truck! I have never seen such and incompetent place of busy.
