Spot On Leak Detection

We developed an air leak in our pool system return lines. We called Spot On, who came out the next week. They spent hours looking for the air leak, which they determined was very small. Unfortunately they weren’t able to pinpoint it to more than a general area within 6 feet, and said that, while I might want to get a second opinion, it didn’t seem to be too serious at this time.
Here’s the amazing part. They told me there was NO CHARGE. I must assume that’s because they couldn’t pinpoint the leak. To me, it’s refreshing to do business with someone who is honest and stands by their work. Because of this, and the several hours they worked on it, I chose to pay them for their time.

My pool was loosing water, I called this company to detect my leak in my pool. They were on time and found the leak in my pool return line. They gave me a quote to fix the leak, I gave them the OK to fix and they made the repair. They did a excellent job, I would recommend them.

I was referred to this company to detect a leak in our pool at the beginning of October, 2015. Two men from Spot On came out on 10÷7÷15 and spent almost 4 hours trying to detect the leak. At the end of the 4 hours they were not able to say where the leak was, but where they suspected it to be, which was within about a 4’x4’ area. The cost for this service was $ 450. I then rang a pool repair company that came out and showed him the area that they suspected the leak to be and he was very surprised that they left no marking on our concrete decking that narrowed down to where they suspected the leak to be. He said the only option he had was to estimate within the 4’x4’ space, drill through the concrete and if he didn’t find it, then he would have to drill another hole and so on until he did, a very expensive option. He suggested before we took that action we should try calling the company back to see if they could come out again and give a closer estimate to where they suspected the leak to be. After 3 days of leaving messages on the voicemail of Berry Franks at Spot On Leak Detection, we figured they were not willing to help us further and of course, they already had our money.
Please proceed with caution if you are contemplating using this company. I only write this review to help prevent the same situation happening to others.
