«Better than we imagined!»
We contacted Cleveland Fencing (along with 5 other local fencing companies) two months ago to gather quotes for 6′ cedar stockade privacy fencing for our backyard (with 2 gates.) We had no trouble booking a time for a consultation and the sales rep who came out was nice and knowledgable. He even made suggestions for ways in which we could cut down the cost with less expensive options. It took 48-​hours to receive a formal quote and we made 3 small revisions, which the sales rep (Jonathan H.) responded to within hours. The quote that we received was between $ 500 and $ 1000 less than most of the other quotes we received. We booked Cleveland, sent back our deposit and signed proposal and were informed that since this is their busy season, we would be looking at 3 weeks to a month until installation time. We weren’t in a major rush to get this done so the wait time wasn’t a big deal to us.
The office managers were lovely and responsive, and touched base with us regularly regarding where we were on the waiting list.
On installation day (yesterday,) the trucks and installers arrived around 9:30am. They removed 50′ of old chain link fencing in approx. 1 hour, and had our new fencing (110′ Grade 2 Stockade) installed by 3:30pm. They even took care not to step on any of the plants along the old fence line.
My entire condo building (6 units, Watertown) has already spent a good 2 hours downstairs ogling the new fence, testing the quality and critiquing the installation, and we honestly can’t find one thing to complain about. It’s fantastic quality and it’s tough/​durable. The gates (reverse scallop edge) open and close silently and all of the materials are well made. We LOVE it! Thank you, Cleveland Fence (and to think we were originally going to DIY this project…*shudder*)

We ordered fencing three months ago, and it is still not here. We have had three different delivery dates. and still no fence. The fence may be perfectly fine once it arrives (?) but a whole summer waiting was really not what we had bargained for.
Also– we took down the existing fence in anticipation of delivery and to expedite the installation. Once it was down, we wished to make an adjustment to use more open fencing on either side of the driveway. They said they could not change the order once it had been placed — but, then commented at a later date that another client had taken their fence down early as well and liked the open view and had cancelled the whole order. Interesting that they could not take out several panels of ours???
The initial order was easily facilitated– but I would definitely seek a no later than date for delivery.
Still in a mess…

Prompt, professional and courteous, excellent product knowledge. We compared their products to local competitor and were far more impressed by Cleveland staff and quality. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Cleveland installed a good looking fence without incident several years ago. Last year, one of the gates had «shifted», probably due to the winter weather. They gave a $ 525 quote to fix, which I thought excessive, so I planed the edge to get the gate to close.
This past winter the gate shifted more so it would not close. I called and asked if they would honor their previous quote. They indicated they had to look again. To make it easier for them, I said no appointment necessary to inspect. A month and three calls later, they still had not updated or confirmed their quote. A week later a repair person just shows up and repairs the gate. It took less than one hour. Now I am in receipt of a $ 525 bill.
Bad communication and gouging.

In Spring ’13 I engaged Cleveland Fence to quote for a small area of fencing (about 40 sq f) that I needed to close in my yard. The prior owners of our house had used Cleveland the previous year — we liked the fence and it seemed to be constructed well so it made sense to go with Cleveland again.
They were courteous on the phone and they arrived on time to measure up, however I never received a quote. I followed up with an email and phone call (where I was advised they will look into it and call me back) but I still received nothing.
If the job was too small/​they were too busy then they should be upfront about this, rather than just ignoring potential clients.

I called a few local fence companies for a fairly small, easy project along my flat driveway. Cleveland had someone out to look at my property the next day, beat the price of the competition, and responded perfectly to my concerns later in the process.
Once I placed my order with them, they explained that installation would happen 2 – 3 weeks later once they received the inventory for the particular job. I should expect a call as soon as it was in.
After two weeks had passed I gave them a call to check up on the order. They explained that their supplier had put a hold on all orders as they audited their own inventory. When she told me that it would take another 3 – 4 weeks to get the parts in I was upset and wanted to cancel my order. She called back 20 minutes later and the fence was installed two days later!
While I feared the worst at one point, they handled my problem with grace, and exceeded my expectations with the quick turn around.
I would highly recommend Cleveland fence for your fencing needs.

I got a fence and gates from Cleveland Fence recently, and they were a great help. Everyone there knows what they’re doing, and were very good at explaining what would work and what wouldn’t. The people I talked with (mostly, I was talking with Debi) were all very friendly and helpful.
I got a simple cedar fence with gates, and it was exactly what I wanted. I’m glad that I chose them– it all worked out great.

Cleveland gave me some replacement boards and instructed me on how to do the job. They didn’t charge me anything and it took only about 15 minutes to repair the fence.
