Elements Massage

Found the massage table to be really uncomfortable and the therapist not at all pleasant. The room was stifling hot also. Not a pleasant experience. I paid for the visit upon entering the store and included a tip which I regret. They followed up with a customer satisfaction email to which I responded and informed them that I was not happy. No response !

My husband is a member and he suggested I see David. I had pulled one of my hamstrings and was feeling mangled. So I took advantage of his membership.
The location is easy to find, there is plenty of parking and the room was comfortable.
David first asked if there was anything that needed attention and how I like my massage (pressure wise). Im not the type of person that wants a gentle massage. I like the masseuse to get in there and work the muscles. David did just that. He even mentioned that he would probably find more spots that I wasn’t aware of and that he did. He watches your cues so he knows when to change the pressure.
If you work out a lot and need a serious spots massage, you have to go to David. I was a jacked up mess when I first walked in the door. When I walked out, I felt 20 pounds lighter and taller.

Therapists come and go frequently so it is difficult to find a decent therapist. If you do s/​he will be gone soon. They only have one therapist who does deep tissue. The ‘spa’ is located next to a Subway sandwich shop and the spa smells of Subway. The front desk staff are not at all knowledgeable about the therapists or the policies if the spa. The price is good but you get what you pay for.

I had a wonderful massage at this Stoneham location today. I even signed up for the discounted monthly massages. It is great when you find a professional that listens to your requests. I am a fan!

I’ve been attending elements for 5 months now on their wellness program after the birth of my son in Feb. This location has been fabulous. All staff members behind the desk have been professional and accommodating! Nykia was my latest therapist and I had to write a review to highly recommend her technique. I’ve had some good massages at some high end establishments and her massage stands out above even some of the most expensive ones I’ve had in the past. She could relate to my needs holding a 15lb baby as well as my complaint on the tension in my calves. She was understanding, attentive to detail and applied medium pressure to get all the kinks out. I have already made my next appt with Nykia and I know it’s guaranteed to provide me with a massage this new momma needs.

A-​W-​F-​U-​L experience. I received a gift certificate to this location from clients at work. I thought «wow I can’t wait! I could really use a massage!». When I called to schedule my massage I booked 2(one for me and one for my boyfriend) I requested two females. No problem… When we got there (two days after I called) the girl behind the desk was ahhhh ok… no «Hi welcome to elements» She just looked at me and said my name and asked us to fill out the forms. So we did. Then two male employees came out to greet us and told us they would be performing our massage… I felt awkward and took the appointment anyways… my boyfriend did not and the girls behind the desk told him he still had to pay! With zero effort to accommodate our request of even try to get him in at a different time. (now mind you… NO confirmation call was made from the time I called to book the appt until the time we arrived two days later)… He told them he was uncomfortable with the situation and that I had requested two females. The girl behind the desk told him that she had called me and confirmed with me for two male employees. WHICH THE CALL NEVER HAPPENED! LIE. So he simply waited for me to be done. While I was getting my massage the therapist made a comment to me about my tattoos… very unprofessional considering one is a portrait of my diseased father. «wow thats just freaky… I have never seen something like that before!» (I was mortified!) And he talked to me the ENTIRE 55 minutes. Not very relaxing… two days later I received an email confirming my appointment for two days prior! (so strange) Over all just a very poor experience and I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

Sometimes I wish the month would fly by just so my next appointment would be here. I’ve been going to Elements for a year now, when I first started I had severe back problems (I was actually referred by my Primary Care). I had tried a few different therapist, and then I met Shannon. She is by far my favorite therapist, she hears you out and makes you feel like million bucks afterwards.
For $ 59 a month (membership price) Elements is definitely worth the «little» you do for yourself.

From my first point of contact, everything was perfect. My therapist Mark was excellent; he chatted with me before my massage to get a good understanding of my lifestyle, injuries/​background and what I was looking to get from the massage. I went in with a very tight upper back, neck & shoulders. By the time I left I felt like a million bucks and had full range of motion in my neck again. I have already scheduled another massage with Mark. I was so pleased with my experience at Elements Therapeutic Massage Stoneham, I purchased a membership… for myself and 2 others as Christmas gifts.
As a fitness professional & competitive athlete I would highly recommend Elements Therapeutic Massage Stoneham to anyone and everyone!

I had a membership for 6 months. I had no problem with the therapists but the main staff was horrible.
First, when I joined I was told I should have no problems getting a massage on the same day as I called. Now, realistically I was excepting perhaps a few days to a week booking. What I got was no one can see you for a month. Meanwhile, my massages started to pile up.
Then came the voicemail. «We are calling to cancel your appointment. It is now 12 and your appointment is at 3 if we don’t hear from you by 12:15 we are going to cancel your appointment.»
Um, what? I of course showed up at 3 to find out my therapist left at 1. Why because the main staff told her that she had no appointments.
When your front end staff is canceling appointments just to mess with the therapist income you know you are in a bad place.
I canceled my membership (I had to give a 30 day notice). That really sucked. The only place you should have to give 30 day notice is when you are renting a place.
I did manage to use all my massages, that I paid for, of course it had to be after I canceled because they seemed to be booked out for months.
I hated the smell of subway. The rooms were cold. The parking was limited. My 90 min massages always ended up around 75.
This place is pretty much a rip off. No way. (When I went they had 5 min and 1 ½ hour massages. Now, I guess they cut back without cutting back on their prices.)

Time for a little ME time. I am a local business owner in the Wakefield /​Stoneham area and I work 6 to 7 days a week which can take it’s toll on the body and be somewhat stressful at times. I was recommended to Element’s on Main St. in Stoneham by a close friend that goes there all the time and raves about it. Well I finally broke down and decided to make some time in my hectic schedule for a little ME time and see for myself if Elements was everything I’ve heard it was. Upon arriving for my first appointment I was greeted with a warm friendly smile and asked if I’d like a bottle of water and I was even given the option of room temperature or chilled. They have several therapist working there that specialize in all types of massage. I chose deep tissue for my first massage and I must say, she got all the knots out of my back and focused on all the areas that I told her were bothering me. Since then I signed up as a member and I go as often as possible. The Massage therapist that I’ve tried so far have all been amazing. I rate Elements 5-​Stars and I am sure that you will too. Do yourself a huge favor make some time for yourself and Give them a call… I promise you won’t regret it.
A Very Relaxed Customer

My mother bought me a giftcard for my birthday for a 55 minute massage at Elements. I was apprehensive so I did a little research and threw caution to the wind and tried it. It was ok. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible, just meh. Their website is extensive, their staff nice enough. There wasn’t much in the way of sound proofing of the room and I heard a lot of chatter. The lights were pretty bright in the room, which I wasn’t expecting. I personally felt cold a majority of the time there but maybe they had the air cranking since it was the first really warm day. My massage was a deep tissue and Mark was responsive when I asked for lighter pressure. I’ve had better massage and I’ve had worse. I hated walking out of there feeling like I was coated in oil and I tried to get off as much as I could, but I still left feeling greasy. There really was nothing exciting or overwhelming for me one way or the other. When checking out, they automatically assumed I would be signing up for a membership and future appointments, that I politely refused. I didn’t get a hard sell, which I appreciated. Would I go back, probably not. Would I recommend, sure. They are affordable and getting an appointment was easy. Parking is easy too. I just expect to be blown away by my massage experience and it was just ok.

This is an alright place if you want a no fuss massage. The place itself is nice, the rooms are relaxing. They have the whole environment thing down. Everyone is really nice, and they want you to get the most out of your experience. You can sign up for a membership and get $ 10 the price of the massage, which is a pretty good deal. I found the price to be too much if you aren’t a member though. And i say this because every time i found a massage therapist I liked, I would see them a few times and really start working on things, and then they would no longer work there. I felt like I was constantly starting over with someone, and then I would have to try a few people out till i found someone with the right pressure and feel, and then they would be gone too. Id guess either they don’t pay their staff well or people use it as a resume builder and go onto better places. If you aren’t too picky about who gives you a massage, then its definitely worth it. If you would rather see the same person, then its not a good place for that.

BEWARE! They should not have the word THERAPEUTIC in their name!
My husband and I went to Elements last year because of a gift card we received. We were not too happy with our service at that time. Our massages were not the greatest and in fact my husband was sneezed on by his therapist during his massage. A year later we received another gift card so we decided to give it another shot. But, unfortunately we were strongly disappointed again. He simply explained that he is an athlete and he needs the strongest therapist there. I only asked for a Swedish massage because I just wanted to relax.
With his 80 minute massage (with after tip was $ 150) he was put with someone with little to no pressure. I however, was put with someone that talked the entire time nonstop! Not only did I not enjoy the massage at all, I was unable to shut my eyes and relax! On the way out we were asked a number of times to sign up for the wellness program and after we said no we weren’t interested, we were given an attitude.
We will absolutely never return to this place again! We wouldn’t even send our dogs!

Went there once, and wasn’t impressed… not enough pressure and too much fumbling around and not enough massaging. Might have been fresh out of massage school, so I don’t blame her. I hear they hire mostly fresh graduates here.

The therapists here are hit or miss… with a high turn over rate… if you get one you like, get their full name because the next time you go there, they will probably be gone!
I had Patty the lead therapist and she was AWESOME. Since then I had Julia who is also a level 4. She is super nice and isn’t as experienced but has excellent technique… and REALLY strong hands… plus she plays piano, so she must be good…
Anyone have Patty’s info? she’s not there anymore.(wish I followed my own advice)

I have been going to Elements since they opened and I love it here! I have used various massage therapists and all are wonderful. I enjoy patronizing local businesses and I enjoy a place like this where you become friendly with staff and they know you. It has become a neighborhood joint to me, someplace where I feel comfortable and that my business is valued. As a member, you save money each month on your massage and any additional massage you get as well as gift cards can be purchased at the member price. I find that all of the receptionists here are always friendly and go out of their way to create a great environment. Though Elements is a chain, I find this to be much more professional and relaxing than many of the spas in the area (I particularly find Elizabeth Grady to be the biggest mistake you can make in the wellness and relaxing area.) I recommend Elements to all my friends and buy gift cards so that they can enjoy the same experience. I currently use Ossefils for my massage and I can say that hands down, he is the best massage therapist I have ever had.

The pre-​natal massage I had with Carol was absolutely fabulous and deserves 5 stars! She applied just the right pressure and checked in every now and then to see how the pressure felt.
The reason why I give this place 3 stars is because of the location and the place itself. I would have given three stars but the massage brings it up to 4 stars. It is right next to subway and must share the same vents because the subway smell is very overwhelming. Also, I found that the rooms weren’t very sound proof, and i could hear every conversation going on in the other rooms. The lobby seemed more quite then the massage rooms.

Ummm… why has no one reviewed this place yet? It’s amazing!
I’m a member, which means my credit card is automatically deducted $ 59 a month for a 50 minute heavenly full-​body massage. I believe their regular prices are just $ 10 more. The massage therapists here work miracles. All they do is massage, and they are great at it. They offer 50 or 80 minute relaxation massage, deep tissue, sports and pre-​natal. You can also upgrade to a hot stone massage for (I think) $ 20 more.
I’ve been going for about 6 months and honestly, I’m addicted. I look forward to each and every appointment and I leave feeling amazingly relaxed. I highly recommend this place if you are in need of an excellent massage!
