We’re so good at car audio that some time ago we decided to branch out, and we bring the same expertise to other car accessories, including remote starters (try starting your car with your phone, yeah, we’re that good), GPS installs, window tints, lighting, video systems and reverse cameras. SoReal Sounds opened its doors in 2010, conveniently located just minutes from Boston. We provide a variety of solutions & services from sound system consulting, remote start convenience, integration of your most popular electronic devices, systems to promote safer driving, and more!

With over 20 years of combined experience, we take great pride in our installations and deliver first class customer service to our clients. Owner Steve has been passionate about cars and music since he was little and is always focused on achieving the best sound quality out of any audio system. Between his mobile electronics certifications and audio production degree Steve has a wealth of audio knowledge /​experience. He wants his clients to not just listen to their music but to experience it!

This review is about 4 years in the making. I have a 1990 Corvette convertible that I wanted to «upgrade» with a different stereo– I say «upgrade» because in keeping with the age /​classic nature of the car I wanted to use a high end Alpine 7289 CASSETTE player that I’ve owned since ’90. Problem was, I wanted to be able to play digital music without using a cheapo cassette adapter. Enter SoReal Sounds into the picture. I went in and explained my desire/​dilemma, and an AudioControl THREE.2 was recommended. I procrastinated getting it installed and a job change meant I was no longer in the area anymore. Fast forward 3 ½ years later and I am finally ready to get the work done… but I have no luck at a local, very Car-​Rismatic auto audio /​accessory dealer when I explained to them what I wanted to do (admittedly I did not remember the part info given to me at SoReal Sounds, but I DID gave a good description of what it was and what it would do /​offer). I decided to not mess around and go back to the original place that came up with the solution for my needs. SoReal Sounds not only special ordered an AudioControl THREE.2 unit for me, but when it was discovered that the FOUR.1 (which offered more adjustments) was identical in cost, they special ordered THAT unit for me too! Now, after 3 summers of topless AND tuneless cruising, I finally have some quality sounds! It’s only a matter of time now before they see me again to figure out how and where to amp up a sub in it :)

Can’t say enough good things about this place, and these guys. Hans is the man, is knowledgeable and honest. The stereo they put in my Mazda5 was perfect. This is the only place I would go to get car tunes.

Not only does the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited sound great but the service is excellent.
When I first got my jeep I noticed that the sound was horrible when I took the doors and the top off when driving 75 – 80 mph. The team here suggested the speakers and the amp. I typically wait a while for posting to Unilocal because I want to make sure that the product and service are spot on.
These guys are the real deal. After bumping a switch on my amp while vacuuming, all that power blew a speaker, or maybe a few, in short order.
I took it in over a year after I purchased the equipment and installation services. What happened? NO QUESTIONS ASKED… Just bring in a key and leave it with us. Absolutely fantastic service. They got it fixed in less than a day.
As a busy person, it was great that this was taken care of in such short order. It was literally about a 3 minute process scheduling the work. No pointing fingers even though it was my fault. Seriously, I told them it was my fault they said it didn’t matter and they still took care of me.
I will be bringing my 48 Chevy here next because their work is too notch. And the sound… Crisp and enjoyable at 80mph with the doors and top off.

In my opinion this is the best mobile audio/​electronics shop in the Boston area. I’ve tried to get a «better deal» from an another authorized dealer and did not get the same level of service. These guys are perfectionists, and when you have someone working in your car, these are exactly the kind people you want. They don’t just make sure your installed equipment works and send you away. Steve (one of the owners) will seat in your car with you in order to understand what you want for your vehicle. He will also seat in your car with you after the install in order to make sure you got what you wanted. The shop also features the top American and European car audio brands making it a one stop shop for all your car audio/​electronics needs. I feel pretty lucky to have these guys taking care of my car, and they’re right down the street from me!

With the recent blasts of freezing winter weather, I thought it was about time I get a remote starter. So I made a call and once again the guys there were so knowledgeable they began to make suggestions and help me pick a starter right over the phone! They were sure to go over all my options, to get me a starter that would be the best fit. Just off of gathering information on what I was looking for and what would work best with the type of car I have.
Last weekend I went in to get it installed and where as something like that anywhere else would be a daunting process, both Hans and Steve made it anything but. They went over what we had discussed beforehand and I must say the starter I chose surpassed any expectations I had; It has amazing features for a price that really was a steal.
So overall I give them an A+++! Big THANK YOU to the crew at So Real Sounds… and I’ll definitely be back :-)

I drive a 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca and have had problems finding an iPod integration kit for a while. The stereo is basically the dashboard so replacing it with an aftermarket unit is pretty much out of the question. I have tried many avenues, visited many audio shops, and returned many crappy FM transmitters and kits, to no avail.
Luckily I found SoReal Sounds online and left a message explaining my issue. After the weekend I was contacted with multiple options and was outfitted with a solution that fit my taste and my budget. The staff was professional and knowledgeable and their customer service was top notch to anyone that walked through their door. I can’t be any happier with the end results.

Look no further for your car electronic needs. Hands down, the best guys to work with for anything you can possibly imagine for your vehicle! Extremely knowledgeable, fast, and only top notch work. I’ve had various systems in all of my cars for the last 13 years, and I thought I knew a fair amount about car audio… until I started talking to the guys at SoReal Sounds. They introduced me to gear I had never even heard of, (Audison/​Hertz) and installed for me a top notch system that caters perfectly to my inner audiophile. I couldn’t be happier with this place, and strongly recommend taking your vehicle in for whatever you’d like done, be it a simple alarm or upgraded deck, to a full-​fledged custom mounted component system with audio processors and unique sub enclosures. They were even able to help me well over a year after when a component started acting up, and worked quickly to resolve the issue and get me back up and running even better than before. Don’t take it from me; go see them yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent customer service and highly knowledgeable staff. Steve explained options available to upgrade my 2007 Ford F150 OEM radio. Had a Kenwood DDX-​790 installed. Very satisfied with both my new system and SoReal Sounds experience. Had one minor issue related to passenger airbag light not working which generated a trouble code 18 (passenger airbag lamp detect failure), which Hans quickly determined problem was a burned out lamp. He then went to the nearby Ford dealer after determining they had the part in stock. Problem resolved after new lamp was installed. That’s what I call going the extra mile. Super service! Will be highly recommending SoReal Sounds to friends.

I have brought my husband car and my car here to install automatic starters and to tint our windows, both Hans and Steve were awesome to deal with. The prices are great too! I have sent several coworkers and customers to them and they have all come back more than satisfied. Love this place!
Great customer service from these guys and work done the right way… I got a great custom sound system that I love, and being a girl, most of the time businesses try to rip us off. I got a great price and the final product looks amazing. I went back a couple months later with electrical issues in my pretty blue 6-​speed manual TSX, and they helped me in just a couple of hours.
If you don’t believe the hype, try them out for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

I walked into Soreal Sounds as a car audio novice, I have no idea what I wanted except for the fact that I needed Bluetooth in two of my cars.
Both are over 8 years old and Steve gave me a couple of options that would work.
After installation there were were some challenges, however Steve and Hans tried and succeeded in fixing all the issues, never displaying any hint of frustration.
I was able to hang out and get some work done while they resolved the problems and cannot recommend this play highly enough. These guys are fantastic for someone who knows nothing about car audio.

Exellent work and service. I had a top end Kenwood head unit installed. The price was fair and there was no sales push to up-​sell anything else. Steve and staff are very knowledgeable about differant vehicles and what will sound best in them. They do everything from serious audiophiles to someone like me that just wanted to upgrade thier stock radio. There were several problems with the unit that involved issues from Kenwood. Steve worked with me and Kenwood to try to resolve the problem, eventually replacing the whole unit. I was happy with the attention shown after the sale and the effort they took to make sure that I was satisfied. Some of the work took longer than expected but they made sure it was done right. I would definitly return for my next car stereo.

i dealt with Steve who installed a remote starter for my SUV. I had purchased a unit at BEST BUy but their crappy install department could not install for 8 weeks! Steve at SoReal Sounds did a great job getting me the right solution and installing it promptly. I had teh work done in one week and it works great. I am going to use this company for any other auto stuff i need. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I would never go back to Best Buy after being treated so badly by them.

This place just opened and it looks like it’s going to do very well based on the friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE, no pressure sales staff that I dealt with. I walked in knowing I wanted a sub and an amp for my 07 Lexus ES350, but that’s about the only thing I knew. Steve, part owner, walked me through what my options were giving me three estimates, one on the lower end, a mid range and a high end estimate. Steve can talk about car audio forever, even the little things that are often overlooked like specific cables and the correct Hushmat placement for your car, so whether your an audiophile or not he can find the right fit for you. I ended up going the mid range route. I got a Audison SRX amp and two 12 inch Hertz 300 Subs. Both came with 3 year warranties. Steve sat in the car with me adjusting the settings with me until I was happy, which didn’t take long, but he said to bring it by whenever if I want to tweak it. I am disrupting the public at a constant rate now, thing blasts. I’m very satisfied with Soreal’s attention to detail and customer service and would recommend it to anyone looking for car audio options.
