Stoneham Arena

I went there, ice was awful for ice hockey. No more public skating. Bath rooms a mess. Manager sweeting all over himself. I have been skating since I was 5 yrs old, so I know skating rinks. Locker rooms smelled bad, reminds me of ice skating rink on rte 1, The person on yelled at people about their coffee, his name was Billy W. what a tool.

Best rink around. Nice friendly staff. Clean environment.

My daugher is a figure skater and even at the young age of 10 she knows good ice when she skates on it! As a member of the Stoneham Figure Skating Club she knows she is lucky to have such a great facility in her hometown. We have been to many rinks around Middlesex as well as Boston and the Cape, and Stoneham has one of the best ice surfaces around. The manager and the staff all take pride in the quality of ice as well as the clenaliness of the entire arena and it shows. Take it from a mom, who along with other club moms, we have no problems using the ladies room! It is one of the few public arena restrooms we will use! It is always clean! The arena is old, but the maintenance and upkeep has been great. without the current management and staff, I don’t believe the rink would be this great!

I’ve been skating since I was three, playing hockey since I was six. Played goalie for Melrose but never skated at Stoneham Arena. I play pick up on Sunday night at the arena with a good group of talented guys. I have no problems to bitch about the ice is good, locker rooms are a good size, I do favor rinks that have the red and blue crease. I’ve played alot of hockey where half the net is exposed since I can’t see the blue crease. The rink staff is friendly, alot of seating for big games. Great rink.

This ice skating rink is one that is used by the New England Senior Hockey League which I am a part of. Finding it and getting to it was rather easy as it’s right off of 93 and it features a large parking lot.
However the one thing that’s great about it is the quality of the ice and the spectator seating. Both are top notch. However the locker rooms are tiny, especially for a roster of 15+ players. That aside the place is clean and playing there is pretty awesome.
