Burt’s Irish Pub is a «local’s» bar in Stowe, VT, serving lunch, dinner, cheap drinks, and good times. No one else in Stowe does it like Burt’s Irish Pub.

Burt’s is a different kind of bar in Stowe. It’s smaller, though we have three floors with different activities on each floor: Pool and darts on the first floor, the bar is on the main floor, and our upper level is for gatherings, music events and private parties. We serve lunch and dinner, beer, wine and liquor. From live music to Karaōke, from pool and darts to cards and trivia, from food and drink to neighborly advice — Burt’s has it all. But we have something more — community.

We tend to get our guests involved at Burt’s — like group Karaōke, spontaneous rounds of card games, cribbage, or even final Jeopardy. We’re not your average bar, where you know what will happen on a given night. The fun and excitement that springs up is as varied as the guests, regulars, and bar tenders that call Burt’s «my bar». All are welcome.

History

Established in 1976.

We have an extended family, who have become part of «Burt’s Nation», which includes locals, annual visitors, summer residents, frequent travelers, and the occasional wanderer that finds us. We like to say that you may come here a stranger, but you’ll leave as a friend. The guests and bartenders often know each other by name. There is an intimacy and family here that can’t be found anywhere else in Stowe. That is a motto we stand by and has proven true in the many years we’ve been open (almost 40 yrs). So come on in, join us for dinner and a round, you may find yourself unable to stay away.
