History

Established in 1954.

The dental practice was started in Stratford by Dr. Norman Samuels. It has grown and is now operated by Dr. Mark Samuels. We also have 2 other dentists who work at Lighthouse Dental Care.

Business Owner

Dr. Mark Samuels is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in Philadelphia, PA. He has completed over 3,000 hours of continuing education courses in all areas of dentistry, including sports medicine, cosmetics, and implant dentistry. In addition to his membership in numerous dental associations, he is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a graduate of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies in cosmetics and neuromuscular dentistry.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mark Samuels for nearly 25 years. He is a very knowledgeable and competent dentist. The dental hygienist Irena is the best part of my trips to this practice. She does an excellent job cleaning my teeth and has very good advice for maintaining healthy teeth and gums. The staff at the front desk is very friendly, too. I strongly recommend this practice for anyone searching for a new dentist.

I love Dr. Jarmon and his whole staff. The care is excellent. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. From the basic cleaning to more complicated dental work, Dr. Jarmon and his associates have taken excellent care of me. They are very cognizant of the patient’s comfort and take care to provide the most comfortable experience. When I needed a very complicated root canal, Dr. Jarmon did not hesitate to send me to a specialist. I trust him and his recommendations. The specialist was fantastic. I’ve brought my husband and my parents to see Dr. Jarmon as well and they all like him.

I am very impressed with the exceptional dentistry that they provide their patients and their progressive approach to dental care. We have worked as an interdisciplinary team on numerous challenging cases and the results were truly outstanding which is a tribute to the amazing skills sets of these doctors. As it is, its hard to get teenagers to go to the Dentist, so thank you Lighthouse Dental for making him comfortable and ready to go to future visits to the dentist as an adult himself. No sir. Do not, under any circumstances, go here. Please. I have a mild issue with anxiety when I visit dentists and I put that on my introduction form. They took that to mean that I have severe panic attacks and treated me like a mental patient when having a cavity filled– a filling they did a horrible job on and I had to have fixed by a competent dentist later. After the horrible filling job I was given a sales pitch on fixing my smile– even though as a teen I had 4 years of orthodontist work and have very straight teeth. Please… go somewhere else. I have no inkling that they care about patients in any way.

Fantastic dental office. I have avoided going to the dentist for years because of a phobia. I was referred by a friend/​co-​worker whose family uses this office and I couldn’t be more relieved and happy. The hygienists and staff could not be more warm, encouraging and friendly. This seems an uncommonly rare trait these days, but so very much appreciated.
