MED NOW Family Walk-In & Industrial Medical Center

First, the place is very run down and dated. The X-​ray machine looks like an antique. I wed genuinely concerned about the amount of radiation from it.
Sent me home and told X-​ray showed sprained wrist but radiologist would read it later to confirm. Within an hour, I got a call that my wrist was fractured & required ortho care. Picked up my X-​rays, proceeded to ortho outpatient in Orange. It was obvious fracture in their opinion that should’ve been diagnosed at walk-​in.
I will not be returning here. Not only is it a dump but they can’t read an x-​ray (at least in my case).

Outstanding facility. These guys helped me many times… from stitches to the flu. Dr. Melton, you’re the best.

I went to Med-​Now a couple of years ago after cutting myself while wallpapering. They were very professional and gave me better advice than the PA at my own doctor’s office. I recommend them highly.

So. The only reason this place is getting ANY stars from me is cause they made me sorta better. At least, the first time. And it was my own boyfriend and his parents who recommended it to me initially (they are native Stratford-​ites). The rest of the stars are for how nice everyone was and the fact that they do have decent hours.
I’ve been sick on and off since early, early January. I went to them in the beginning of January and they gave me some meds and made me slightly better. Anyways… end of January rolls around… and I’m sick. Again. So I head back here, tell them what is going on with me… and the doctor goes «just rest, drink water, take advil, sounds like a cold.» Hrm. Fine. So… I do that… and Friday, I wake up sick as heck (same symptoms, just worse!). I head off to work still (saving up my time for my Vegas Vaca!)…and all day my eye is bothering me. I go to bed, barely able to see, breathe or speak… and wake up doing even worse the next morning. Jas rushed me to the walk in in Huntington (MUCH better) where come to find out… I have double pink eye, a serious sinus infection AND an upper respiratory infection. Stratford walk in on Wends told me it was «just a cold.» Okaay.
And they still billed me. Even after I called and told them what happened. I get I used their services… but that is some SERIOUS mis-​diagnosing.

This is the best walk-​in in the area. I live in West Haven, and I’m happy to drive there for medical care. I’ve only been there once for myself, but I’ve brought my son a few times from random ailments that happened outside of the his regular pediatrician’s hours (and one broken toe… and some crazy case of hives… AND a foreign body in his eye. siiiiggghhh…boys.). The wait is never long and the care is excellent. They are happy to refer you to appropriate specialists as needed.
