Visiting the splash pad today, I was hesitant. It has been in a slow, steady decline over the years since opening. Finally SPD updated this splash pad!!! Much better!!!

Great little park, hard to find. It’s about 2 – 3 miles west of Bartlett Rd on Irving Park Rd. the slash pad is the best. Check out the pics they say it all. Oh the splash doesn’t open until 11

The tennis courts are in great shape with a small back board on the far court. There are no lights and or wind nets, but overall it’s a great little park in a nice clean and safe area. As you enter Sunny Hill Park you notice a skate park and a basketball court. There is plenty of parking available so no worries. The two tennis courts are situated on top of a hill adjacent to a children’s park /water park and picnic area with water fountain and bathrooms. The courts over look the park’s quarter mile path and a 9 hole disc golf course.

Your typical public tennis courts– no partitions(expect to exchange balls with people next to you), no lights, no fence netting(balls bounce right off the chain link). Two courts, very good surface, clean, sit on a hill so you have to trek down to retrieve errant balls. Generally a pleasant and aesthetically appealing place to play. Next to a skate park. Enough parking.
