I’ve been here a few times in the last six months where I sat outside and everything was pretty good.
Tonight we sat inside. First the good news: the wings were excellent! Some of the very best I’ve had. My husband had the patty melt, he said it was excellent. I had mahi sliders which were very good .
Ok tips: I really hope the owners read these reviews. In fact it would behoove the owners to spend some time here during the busiest hours .
This service here is terrible ! Kind of wanted to scream outloud, that bad. Maybe it was just our server. Our food took forever. She asked us initially what we wanted to drink. We did get water, she never asked us if we wanted anything else. Water never refilled. We waited almost 40 minutes for our wings. Once we finished wings at least another 10 – 16 minutes for the patty melt and sliders to arrive. No forks with our entrees, had to hunt some down. No tarter sauce had to hunt that down. Food was very good.
Then we waited and waited some more. We arched our server bus tables, she brought soda out to people. We waited for about half an hour before we said we needed a check immediately.
Much training needed. Bartender did not look overwhelmed, couldn’t he help out with some drinks, bussing?
Has potential to be an excellent spot. Food is excellent now get the right people for the right jobs :-)

I hesitated writing this review, want to keep this place to myself.
A true locals spot — Charlie’s has been around forever. Great burgers and wings in a very, very casual atmosphere. The service is always friendly, prices are reasonable, and local bands play here often.

Just had burger Monday and again it was great Danielle was a great waitress, we ate inside this time and all 3 burgers came out perfectly.

Charlie’s is a Bar first and restaurant second and if you want good Bar food then this is the place. Great place for burgers and strong drinks. Most of the food is fried so if your looking for healthy, keep looking. This is a place where men go so leave the kids under 18 home.

Seriously, we’re here with our kids at 4:15 on to eat dinner and they’re playing completely inappropriate music. Me So Horny!!! Not only does this song play, someone turns it up! The next song was The Fu&k Shop. So it only went downhill. We were shocked. As for The food, it was mediocre. Won’t be back.

I buy 50 wings to go, get 4 oz of dressing. Ask for 2 more, «we’ll have to charge you»! $ 46.65 for wings won’t do that again!

Best food & service I could ever ask for, at a very small price. Jillian was our server, she is AMAZING. She was patient, accomodating, and great with kids. The taco salad & the ribs were the best ever. 6 of us ate full meals for $ 70 + tip.

I’m giving them one more chance. Got the same waitress, and she has been great. We’ll see how fast the food comes. Prices are great and beer cold.

Finally tried the food here. Definite MEH. First, it’s hard to find a healthy option; many fried foods smothered in cheese or thick sauces. I got the fish tacos and they were pretty bland… and covered in cheddar cheese — what? Odd. Not sure I’ll eat here again. It’s still a nice option for a drink, especially if the weather is conducive to sitting in the open-​air area.

A long overdue honest review of a very large independent bar with indoor/​outdoor space. Serves food. Outside bar has TV’s, pools tables, smoking allowed & inside bar has a pool table, various arcade games, jukebox. Live bands inside on Friday and Saturday nights. Mostly a local’s bar.
The good: Extra large bars, some good live music, beer on tap, reasonably priced food, sometimes pours are very generous, décor is casual and interesting with lots of signage. Covered outdoor bar gives off a tiki hut vibe, dark wood indoor bar gives off a gator Everglades vibe.
The bad: Incredibly bad service consisting of some arrogant, demeaning authority figures and servers/​bartenders that are either in various stages of bad temper or disinterest due to dogging by their coworkers or obnoxious patrons, very un-​gourmet food typical of a mom and pop place, can get really crowded on weekend nights.
The down and dirty: Great place if all you are looking for is a casual place to meet up with friends and have a basic drink or beer and maybe eat something that will fill you up. Do not expect to be treated like a valued source of income for the place, thereby being treated with manners and respect from the indoor male bartender (boss? relative of owners? Friday night indoor bartender guy I’m looking at you.) He is obnoxious and ill-​mannered. You, and his co-​workers, will be treated like a pain in the butt and a person to «get out of his way» because he has business to take care of. Some of the waitstaff (there seems to be no distinction between those that make drinks and those that serve tables) if caught on a good day are semi friendly and may give you a decent drink and table service. But that is inconsistent. Waitstaff on the outside are much friendlier than staff on the inside for some reason, but not hey-​so-​glad-​you-​are-​here friendly. I believe the mood in the place hinges directly on the mood of the people running the bars and kitchen. If you are a person that just wants to stop for a beer and doesn’t take offense easily and can ignore the staff’s mood swings and sometimes really bad service, then stop into Charlie’s. If you need a convenient place to meet up with people (it is located on a busy road that has easy access to I95), meet up at Charlie’s. Want to listen to a pretty good live band, choose Charlie’s. If you are looking for a great meal, be treated like a valued customer, want to enjoy a joyful experience out and about, drive on past Charlie’s and choose from some really great places in downtown historical Stuart or Port Salerno’s Manatee Pocket.

Nice sports bar. Monday night burger specials $ 5.99 are awesome. I have half leftover! Monday is also bingo night. I won the second game and chose a gift package that included a $ 10 gift card. Great evening!

Sports bar. Large place with outside bar if you want to smoke. I think for the most part the food leaves something to be desired. I do like the pork though. And the burgers are good. But this is not fine dining folks. The bartenders are what make the place. Plenty of TV’s for watching the games. Lot’s of parking

Stopped in for burger Monday and it was delicious! I couldn’t believe the size for $ 5.95 and it came with home made chips!

We finally tried this restaurant out after driving by for almost two years. It’s exactly what you would want from a bar and grill. The hamburgers were absolutely delicious. Oh and did I mention they have fried Oreos!

What a rude staff. Everyone and their mother had an attitude in that place, and being that the food sucked they should be nicer to clients so that there would be at least one reason to go there. Definitely will NOT be going back.

I just left Charlies and i am very dissatisfied with both the service and the food. The restaurant looked so promising and fun but the experience was far from it. I returned the bland water downed clam dish for a fried fish dish which i ate only because i was famished at that point. The waitress was confrontive when she charged me for graygoose which my partner requested for his drink but i did not. She was very argumentative and unprofessional. I will never go back to Charlies … Sorry Charlie.

The burgers are pretty good, and the beer selection WAS very good. However, they never did get a beer list so when you ask a server they probably wont know much other than your standard domestic swill. Its like an unpleasant game of 20 questions trying to figure out what they have for beer (which is an important topic, especially at a bar).
So, I don’t know if the beer selection is that much worse? Is it that they just don’t know what they have? Perhaps its a well kept secret among some sort of Illuminati syndicate at the bar? Maybe they don’t like me? Not sure… All I know is I want good beer. If you want me to return get a list of things I can choose from and if there is good stuff on there like there used to be I will be back. As for now? Longnecks just got a new customer.

Charlie’s is very open and spacious. They have a large smoking patio out back.
We ordered salads. They were HUGE and consisted mostly of meats and toppings. There is plenty to pick around based on your preferences, but expect more meats than veggies!
One warning — do not order a Bloody Mary. It is terrible!

The atmosphere is great, laid back, great music, fun. I ordered the conch and clams, they were pretty good! I would definitely recommend stopping in and seeing for yourself! You will be happy you did!

This place may be a great bar at night or something, but definitely dont go for the food.
At first glance youd think you were getting a deal, but b youll get why once your food arrives. I ordered the ribs– and asked if it would be enough to fill me up (when im hungry im hungry). 4 ribs. Too many fries, some weird looking sauce that I didnt even dare to try, cole slaw, and corn bread.
The ribs were dried out and left me queasy,
They seemed almost like they were just reheated. Gross. (Yes I know a lot of places reheat food, but this was really bad.)
The food came, we didnt have any cutlery– I had to get up and ask for it myself, and the guy one table over also had to ask for his cutlery. the waitress asked if I needed anything else — I reply «yeah, more food!» Lol. she felt bad, but seemed sad she worked there.
1 star– goes to the cornbread, at least that was ok.
