It’s been years since I have had to get a smog check, so I Unilocaled and the reviews completely hold up. It was quick easy and efficient I would highly recommend this place to smog check your car.

My first time here. I mentioned the Unilocal coupon & saved $ 10. It took less than 5 min. Trustworthy, fast, and a good location. I found the guy working (Warren) very pleasant to deal with and knowledgable about the dmv/​tags. I will use this place again.

Went in today and there was no waiting. The young man who did our smog check was clean neat and tidy, very courteous offered us both bottles of water. The smog check was done in less than 15 minutes and he transmitted the results to the DMV via computer for us and it was easy as pie. Use the Unilocal coupon and pay only $ 40

This has been my second time coming to this place for my smog checks. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. With the 10 bucks off from Unilocal it was only 40 bucks! Other places I’ve been to I’ve paid up to 75. They got me in and out in less than 10 min! So quick and easy and the guys were really nice and even offered me a bottle of water.

I came in for a smog today, and the guys that worked there were super sweet and professional! Especially Isaac. The service was quick. For sure I’ll be back.

Most smog checks cost about $ 30 and you don’t pay if you don’t pass. Here you pay $ 46.75 whether you pass or not. Since no repairs are done on the premises, if you don’t pass you will have to take your car to a mechanic elsewhere for fixes and then bring it back. At which point you pay another $ 21.75 for the retest. While the service is fast and courteous, as stated in other reviews, the price is far above what most other garages charge for a smog check.
Ps. You do get a $ 10 discount if you mention Unilocal but that still puts the price well above other smog check stations. Especially if you don’t pass on the first inspection.

Of all the smog places I have ever been to in Los Angeles this is the friendliest and most helpful place I have been too.
My car is older and I am always nervous when I get it smogged. It didn’t pass and Isaac was very helpful and calming. He answered all of my questions and remembered me when I came back to have it retested.
I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially if your car is a little on the mature side.

10 minutes of test’s for $ 60 dollars is a RIP OFF !!!

This is a bit of a late review because I visited during the first week of August 2015 but this was a great little place, I am new to L.A. from Chicago so I heard about it on Unilocal.
I came here for my initial smog test so I could register my IL vehicle. The guy there (I think is the owner) was super friendly and offered me bottled water while I waited. He was prompt and if you mention that you heard about this place on Unilocal or check in, you get $ 10 off which makes a difference, trust me.
I recommend everyone comes here it’s quick and I had no issues with my test results being sent to the DMV & now my car is successfully registered in CA :)

I am all about the environment: I recycle religiously, I don’t litter, I conserve water, etc. I try to stay very «green». However, despite my love for Mother Nature, I can’t help but hate California’s mandatory smog checks. Such a pain! It doesn’t help that my car is a 16-​year old piece of junk and only passes smogs by a couple numbers. So when my car (which in its old age requires a Star-​certified smog) was due for the annoying emissions test and I learned that my regular spot (Joe’s Smog Check in North Hollywood) got new equipment and won’t test pre-​2000 cars again until next year; I panicked. Thanks to Unilocal,I found 15 Minute Smog.
As mentioned, many smog places have been updating equipment and not smogging older cars and if they are then they are raising the prices knowing it is in demand. This is great news for us poor folk who are in their 30s and have never owned a new car (sarcasm). I already worried about failing as my car passed by 1 point last time (not exaggerating) so having to find a new smog place raised my already elevated anxiety.
After finding 15 Minute Smog on Unilocal,I called to ask if they were Star certified and smog 1999 cars. I was IMMEDIATELY pleased with their excellent customer service. The gentleman on the phone (whom I later met) was polite, didn’t rush me, and answered all of my questions. He assured me not to worry that I will probably pass and not to make any repairs just yet and instead smog it first. He even said he could run a pre-​check and of course would value the $ 10-​off Unilocal check in offer. He was AMAZING even on the phone. Very good customer service and he had a great energy.
I arrived at 15 Minute Smog to luckily no other customers (it is a single-​stall establishment so I assume there are some busy times) and was immediately welcomed by Oren. He was professional but kind and I thanked him for being so helpful on the phone earlier in the day. He also didn’t treat me like a second-​rate citizen which many male mechanics tend to do to women. After offering me water; he immediately began his work. It genuinely only took 15 minutes and was painless and in-​and-​out.
Thank the heavenly angels, I passed the smog! Oren continued with his excellent and caring service by taking the time to discuss car maintenance, how to continue passing smogs in the future, and personally addressing some of my car issues. I can’t explain enough how wonderful he was.
So even though we all dread smog checks and they are a pain our butts; 15 Minute Smog is the place to go. Amazing prices ($ 45 after my Unilocal Check-​in offer), terrific customer service, Star certified and smogs older cars, and super fast… you really can’t beat it. Definitely recommended for your smog needs!

The most pleasant smog check experience we’ve ever had!
Called ahead to see if we needed an appointment and Isaac said no. We arrived, were greeted with smiles and a handshake, offered bottled water and chairs to sit, and 10 mins later we were done! Super friendly, efficient and all around awesome. Even the guy in the back doing detailing smiled when we made eye contact. Don’t forget to check-​in for $ 10 discount.
Even though we live in miracle mile and have closer smog check stations nearby, we will without hesitation come back here for future smog tests!
