Had this crew come in to remove carpet and reface three bedroom floors. They had all completed within expected time frame. Taped off area to prevent sawdust exposure. Final product was very good. Nothing negative to report. Did not have the experience that others have posted.

and it was a MISTAKE!
We didn’t go through with the work with them because they gave us the STUPIDEST, most UNPROFESSIONAL appointment EVER!!!
I can’t even say they gave us a bad estimate because we didn’t even get to that because of how unprofessional they are.
We called and made an appointment for 11:30AM and he arrived at 11:58PM. I told them I wasn’t available after 12:00PM and yet they didn’t make the effort to come on time.
A little background info.: I am the daughter of the landlord. My father asked that I gather all the information and estimates from different businesses and then present them to him (think assistant providing info. to a boss). I work in providing proposals and talking with clients EVERY DAY at work so i’m not new to the sort of job the man from Ariel Builders came to do.
In other words, i’m not making the final decision, just collecting the data to pass on. Well when the estimate guy (Yoab?) came and I let him know I wanted the info to then pass it on, he gave me ATTITUDE! He made an annoyed facial expression and asked how he was going to give me the estimate if I wasn’t the owner. I explained that I could make the decisions regarding the different flooring they offered but that the final decision would be made by the landlord (didn’t say the landlord was my dad because NOT HIS BUSINESS!)
He then answers in a sarcastic way «well how will i give you the estimate? I could give you any number like $ 7000.00.» I didn’t understand what his problem was.
He hadn’t even gotten down with any information or samples for flooring. He kept ranting over why he was meeting with me if I wasn’t the owner and that he drove an hour to meet with us; saying this as if it was a waste of time. I continued to try to explain in a nice, calm way that I knew what I was doing and I was the person he would be dealing with. All communication for the job and estimate would be through me, not the landlord.
He still didn’t listen so I told him he could leave and that that was not a way to treat a potential customer. I told him I worked in giving estimates as well and providing proposals to clients that weren’t managers. I told him that it was ridiculous for him to come late and still complain and be rude.
I left after WASTING 5 minutes of my time with him.
10 minutes later I get a call from the lady at their office and (already mad) I told her we would not be doing business with her because the guy was rude and unprofessional and that he should not care if he is meeting with the owner or not, I made the appointment and he should talk with ME! I (very rudely) hung up on her.
The lady form the office insisted by calling me (while I was at an appointment which I was late to because these people got there LATE) until I finally answered thinking she would say sorry on his behalf.
I answered and she basically said «Sorry but.[excuses][excuses].» She said that they were just so busy because they had had a lot of work and clients calling wanting work on the roofs because of El Nino that is coming and so they were stressed and BLAH BLAH BLAH!
My answer was plain and simple «You are a business that has a lot of client interaction. I work with a business where there is a lot of client interaction. So, THE MOMENT that you meet or speak with a client, NOTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD MATTERS! You don’t bring personal issues to work, let a lone let the clients know of your personal or business problems or frustrations. You’re supposed to make the client feel important and like the only thing/​person that matters at the moment; THAT is good business. Not unprofessional meetings followed by excuses. I don’t see us calling you guys back to reschedule and especially not give you guys the work. Thank you for the excuses but please don’t call again.»
These people need to learn to be professional and not pass their business/​personal matters and stress on to their clients or potential clients.

DO NOT DO NOT hire this vendor. There are too many other contractors out there to put up with the unprofessional, sleazy behavior this company shows.
This was one of the worst companies I have ever had the shame to work with.
I recently hired this company through
I was looking to repair/​refinish hardwoods. I had gotten a couple of estimates when Sadi came out to give an estimate. The price he quoted was okay and I was thinking I might use them and told him I would give him a call– He refused to leave my home instead it became sort haggling session– he wouldn’t leave I kept saying I would let him know he kept lowering his price– not really low but lower than one of the others– and I admit I was tired and overworked and no other excuse other than I felt bullied and he wouldn’t leave– what I was worried about I don’t know (now). So I just caved and gave him 10% just so I could get the job done
Then he immediately tried to change the arrangements saying the hardwoods didn’t need to acclimate to my house (at least I stuck to my guns there) and it also turned out he had put a couple little numbers in the margin of the contract– just numbers nothing else but come the day they were to start he tells me these numbers meant I was to pay him 50% before they even started work!!!
It was an awful experience and I regret hiring them– the floors look fine but as noted in other re views the problems won’t show up right away
The workers were surly and churlish and seemed resentful for some reason. They used my bathroom without even asking and were sloppy pigs. And in all the time they used the bathroom they never thought to tell me I would need to put in a special threshold for the bathroom entrance– even though they must have tripped over it a dozen times.
In the end I hated them so much I paid them for the work as Sadi requested — I was told I would be mailed a receipt — that was three weeks ago– the check was long cashed and no receipt
The final little abuse from Ariel Builders was yesterday– when trying to put my bedroom back together three weeks ago, I realized I was missing the wi fi filter for my phone. I couldn’t find it anywhere and finally gave up– I figured the jerks had just thrown it out– But NO! They had literally tossed it into some bushes in my front yard!!! Or perhaps they had gone out of their way to hide it because I don’t know how it could have gotten behind the bush rather than becoming tangled in it–
I am working with HomeAdvisor but they really can’t do anything– I will have to take Ariel Builders to court if there are any further problems

I hired this contractor thru
to put in laminate floors in the bedroom and hall. I have never had such an unprofessional experience. The quality of the product and the workmanship was horrendous! I couldn’t talk to the two men working here as they didn’t speak English. I couldn’t hear on the phone in the living room as their music was blaring thru the house. They took my expensive folding closet doors outside and broke one of them. I have had to live with that since the owner, Tony insists that they didn’t do it. You can even see where they put their floor adhesive over the freshly painted door trying to fix the damage. All that did was make it look worse. I called and reported it as soon as they left. They left with the strips in the doorways sticking up to trip on, and never came back to fix them. They didn’t put the wheels back on the bed so when they moved it, deep scratches were left in the new floor. Now, a year later, the floor makes creaking noise. I never had this with the previous flooring. Also the ends of each piece apparently was so tight that they are cracking where they were put together. They ruined was was new paint, put several holes in the wall, and made a complete mess. Also, he said that the dogs walking on it was fine, as the material (which he stated that he manufactures himself) was very durable. Ha! Scratch after scratch shows from the dogs just walking over it. I saved up the money for this job and was on disability, and now at 72 years old and still disabled, I have to pay more to fix all their damage than I paid for the floor. This man does not stand behind his work, and in my opinion should not be in this business. By the way, I will not use Homeadvisor again, as they would not put negative review in for him, so they will keep recommending him to other unsuspecting homeowners. If you are smart, you will not hire this company. If you do, you will most likely be sorry. Very shoddy workmanship and materials. I am still going to check and see if I can take him to small claims court, as I will most likely have to replace the floor also.

I paid ariel builders over $ 8k to do my floors back in 2011 when i bought my first house. I needed a quick fix in my kitchen because of a project i messsed up. Not knowing the difference in laminate quality i left it up to tony and his crew. After $ 800 and a 1 day installation of 120 sq ft i had my new floor. 2 weeks later the section by the stove started to lift. Tony sent a guy out who accused me of spilling water on it and after that i was ignored. 4 years later, i am doing demo on the kitchen to replace the laminate only to find there was no padding in the area i had complained about. I’m not saying they do bad work but be smart, check the quality of materials and watch them doing the install. Didn’t think I’d be writing this review after 4 years but customer beware.

Ariel builders remodeled our bathroom and did a good job. The customer service was great — we worked with Mark and Michael. Everyone was professional, on time, and as neat as they could be (considering they were remodeling). The work they did was very good, though not perfect. Their pricing was competitive. I would recommend them.

Working with Ariel Builders was the worst service experience we have ever had. We hired them to install new floors in our home. We had wood floors, but Tony convinced us that laminate was a better choice due to our pets (two small dogs). He said it is incredibly durable, easy to clean, and will look new for years. Within two months of installation, there were multiple chips, buckles, and gaps in the brand new floors. We immediately contacted Tony and he said that all of the areas of damage (at least 10) must be maintenance related. I keep an incredibly clean home, we have area rugs, we never wear shoes in the house, the dogs are mostly outside or on the tile, and we have no children. I could not believe that he was trying to blame an obviously defective product on «wear and tear.» Also, they left glue stains on our wall all along the top of the molding and, now, not even a year later, large strips of molding are detaching from the walls.
Over the course of the next six months, the floors continued to deteriorate, including the top layer peeling off in quarter size hunks. Tony said we would have to contact the manufacturer, which we did. He came out with Tony (they were obviously friends), glanced at the floor, and casually told us none of it was covered by warranty. He was not a licensed floor inspector or anything, just the company’s owner. After that, Tony stopped answering our calls. He would not acknowledge us until we sent him a letter threatening to take him to small claims court. All we wanted was a refund so we could replace the terrible floors he installed. We wound up settling out of court for a materials refund, which was grossly under the actual amount we paid for materials. However, we could not prove this as Tony never actually provided a receipt for his work, despite multiple requests for one from the outset of the project.
In a nutshell: shoddy work, low quality product, TERRIBLE customer service, and an unprofessional, unscrupulous owner.

I recently had my floors installed by Ariel Builders and they did a great job! My husband has allergies so we wanted the carpets removed as quickly as possible. They gave us a great price and got the floors in no time at all. So happy with the floors and know that my husband breathes easier.
