If you’re representing yourself in a divorce, separation, annulment, or any family matter, our Legal Document Assistant (formerly known as «Independent Paralegal») will help with document preparation, case completion, calculating «Guideline» support, and modification of custody and support orders.

In non-​litigation situations, our services will allow you to save money and avoid high legal fees from hiring a lawyer. We can help should you choose to represent yourself as well. If you and your partner know that you do not wish to litigate, but are not completely resolved on all issues, we can help you mediate an amicable resolution to avoid going to court.

Our other services includepaternity cases, name changes, wills, and living trust packages. We are also a Notary Public and can help notarize any document.

History

Established in 1972.

Shortly after California became a «no fault» state. One no longer needed specific grounds to file for divorce, thereby eliminating the need for a mandatory court appearances and attorney representation. We have successfully completed 1000’s of cases.

This business is 2nd generation owned. Jolene has received her paralegal certificate from USC. She is the founder of Alliance of Divorce Professionals.

Business Owner

Jolene has owned CDC since 1985, having offices in both the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. She is a pioneer in this field, and has been cited in numerous publications as an expert in her field. She is a member of CALDA, our statewide organization for LDA’s.

She has had mediation training, and received her Paralegal Certifiecate from the University of Southern California. Her other interests are tennis and gardening.
