Harry H Markarian, DDS

Dr. Markarian is a very knowledgeable, respectable, and a caring doctor. I expect that from a USC graduate and he delivers. He has foresight in issues and complications, and 99.9% of the time he is right! Dr. Markarian is very knowledgeable but always quick to listen and slow to speak. He is genuinely concerned and he always goes the best and most conservative route.
His rates are VERY reasonable: 1) for the service he provides and 2) for the quality he provides. This is VALUE!
His office is run like a very well lubed machine. Ani, the sweet office manager, is definitely doing something right. Dr. Markarian’s whole staff is relaxed and friendly and they treat you like royalty.
Trust me, not only have I been a patient of Dr. Markarian but I also used to work for him. So i know how he operates from a patient’s standpoint to actually working beside him. I loved working at his practice because nothing beats working for a Doctor who is sincere, honest, goes the extra mile and a true master of his craft to say the least. Had i not moved i’d still be working for him and he’d still be working on my teeth. Dr. Markarian is not only a great Dentist but also a great human being.

Dr. Markarian is the best! I will never trust anyone else with my teeth. Professional, honest, gentle, and knowledgeable. Plus, Ani at the front desk treats you like family!

Dr. Markarian is as good as they get… a professional genius,
a phenomenal craftsman (can rebuild your broken tooth in a jiffy; a true micro-​sculptor),
the ultimate efficiency operation (he does not waste your time… just goes right to the problem), the best adviser (never recommends anything you may not need, and tells you of all options),
the best technologist (always at the forefront of the latest inventions; for the best method),
he knows the evolution of all dental works (’cause he has tinkered with all of them),
very reasonable (’cause he has done it all already, and is not needy)…
And the best is… that he and his wife are the NICEST people to help you, ANYTIME !
I should know… I started with his Dad 42 years ago, and stayed with Harry as he took over the practice. He is my dental specialist (believe me I messed up my teeth at college).
I would be lost without him.
THANK GOD for Dr. Markarian… our entire large family has been going to him for 50 years.
Why am I tooting my horn about him??? Cause, I broke my bicuspid in half… and he came in on his DAY OFF to save me !!! Now, WHO would DO THAT now-​a-​days ???

Dr. Harry Markarian is a rare breed. He is Dentist who is just as knowledgable as he is honest. In addition to this he has an excellent bedside manner. All the Dentists I saw in Ca before Harry told me I have a cavity and I didn’t think I did because I had no pain. I saw him a few months ago for an exam and he agreed with me that there was absolutely no cavity. I constantly recommend Harry to all of my patients (I’m an Optometrist) because he is honest, takes his time, and is extremely thorough, and seems to really care about his patients. I will only be going to Dr. Markarian for now on. It doesn’t hurt that his practice is very close to mine!

Dr. Markarian and his team are wonderful. They take great care of my family! Would recommend them for sure if you need a new dentist!

A friend with serious dental problems that Dr. Markarian successfully treated recommended him to me and now that I’ve been a patient for two or three years, I’m doing the same. What I like about him is that he’s both old-​fashioned and completely modern in the best sense of both phrases. He gets to know his patients and is more thorough than any dentist I’ve ever visited. His equipment appears to be state-​of-​the-​art and his office is comfortable but not so swell that you feel as though you’re paying for the décor.
I sought out Dr. Markarian when my former dentist began running her practice purely as a business designed to maximize profits. Suddenly every teeth-​cleaning became an opportunity for her to recommend crowns, gum grafts, etc. and there was a new staff member described as the concierge, whatever that might mean in a dentist’s office. In contrast to that, Dr. Markarian has never recommended a procedure I didn’t need and is honest and conservative, opting for a wait and see approach when it’s appropriate. His fees are in line with what I’d expect.
His wife Annie runs the front office. I don’t think she’s been to concierge school, but her warmth, professionalism and respect for their patients is second to none. All my immediate family members are patients now, too, and describe similar experiences.

Dr Markarian is a wonderful dentist !!!
I arrived in LA 7 years ago I went to a Beverly Hills dentist and was absolutely horrified to be told I needed thousands of $$$ worth of work done in my mouth & I was about to start losing my teeth !!! The crook dentist made me feel like he needed to start work immediately. I was very upset and in shock and I was pregnant with twins at the time. I relayed my experience to some friends who had lived in LA longer than myself was told to get a few opinions, one of which was from Dr Markarian. He was a blessing and told me I did not need anything like the work that had been suggested. He has been dentist now for the last 7 years and been amazing in his care for both me and my husband. Over this time we have recommended him to other friends who have had similar bad experiences with other dentists recommending they unnecessarily needed teeth removed etc. He does not have a flash expensive surgery, he has a beautifully maintained surgery that like him shows what something looks like when you take care of it over time. He is not loud and brash like so many in his industry and his professionalism, ability and honesty define him as a first class dentist.

I don’t know anything about Dr. Markarian because I didn’t even get a chance to see him. His receptionist was too busy rushing me off the phone and being rude. Way to lose a patient, lady!
I give 3 stars though because he may be a very good dentist, but he could reconsider the people working in his office.
