I grew up with some kind of camera always nearby. In grade school I had a darkroom in the attic, and in high school I transitioned to film.

However, once college came, my interests led me to study engineering, neuroscience, and family therapy, although my need for the arts remained — even in the engineering years, I found myself studying how we perceive color, only to discover that I had been partially color blind my whole life!

Although I do indeed still see color, I have discovered that sometimes I see «shades of gray» that others appear to miss.

As a child therapist and parent I adore play, and try to bring out the play in everything around us with each photo I take. With every photo, my goal is to use my camera to capture what I see and share it with you. Please, take a look at my portfolio. History

Established in 2013.

Joshua has been actively photographing everything he sees since the age of 5. In his teens he built a darkroom in his parents’ attic and built himself a pinhole camera out of cardboard for fun.

However, after a few years he decided to focus on more academic pursuits, with his camera still at his side. Eventually he started building specialized camera systems as an engineer before moving on to psychology.

Now, Joshua is a licensed child therapist, and loves capturing special moments between parent and child while they go about their daily activities — playing in the park, watching animals at the zoo, celebrating a birthday, or simply sharing a loving gaze.
