Dr. Jamie Sands is by far the best dentist I have ever been. I am so fortunate to have finally found a dentist that I can trust. She explained every procedure with detail and offered options. So far all the work she a has done is amazing. Dr. Sands is so sweet and has made every experience comfortable and pain free. Staff Jorge and Edith are also very professional and welcoming. I drive out over 100 miles just to be under Dr. Sands care. Her service is definitely worth my time and money.

Now, I don’t write a lot of reviews, and especially not for dentists, but Jamie and her team are different.
Let me begin by saying this: I have an extreme PHOBIA of any medical work — dental work, simple blood draws, annual physicals, anything. The worst offender is dentist appointments, though (something about multiple traumatic experiences in the chair throughout my life). That being the case, I decided that I no longer wanted to deal with dentist appointments without sedation. So, per a prescription from Jamie, I am able to take Valium the night before the appointment, another one to two hours before the actual appointment, and laughing gas throughout.
At my initial consultation (which started and ended on time!), I was told I had multiple failed fillings that resulted in more cavities, and we had a lot of restorative work to do, as well as a deep cleaning. It is worth mentioning that all the equipment was extremely new and high-​tech, even down to the camera they used to take actual pictures of your teeth. I was terrified and embarrassed at the state of my teeth and gums. But Jamie and her team have been leading me through the process, re-​assuring me that we will get me back in working order, and no I am not a bad person just because I have some cavities.
From the moment she led me through a breathing exercise during my first Novocain injection, to the moment she was reassuring me on the last (5^th!) appointment how much I’ve improved anxiety-​wise, I knew she was different and could never go back to another dentist. She even explained to me that the reason I’ve had so many «bad» dentist appointments is because I am a natural redhead and require more anesthesia/​Novocain than non-​redheads. (It’s the truth, look it up!!!) So all the times I have felt pain at the dentist in years past, it’s because I wasn’t numbed up enough. *cue eyeroll*
I’m not going to lie — it still isn’t easy for me to go to the appointments. I’m not one of those patients that LOVES going (how weird is that), nor do I think I will ever love going to the dentist. But what Jamie and her team has done for me is miraculous — I have actually made it through intensive dental work without having a full-​blown panic attacks! Yes I do cry, but I have absolutely no urge to slap her hand out of my mouth and run out of the building like I’ve wanted to with previous dentists!
I assure you, I wouldn’t be writing this review if it weren’t the truth. Jamie is a true angel with how she deals with patients like myself. As embarrassing as it is being an adult with extreme dental fear, it’s comforting to know that there’s a team of people who understand you, and just want to get you back to a healthy mouth.
*Disclaimer* As others have stated, Jamie isn’t the cheapest dentist around, but SHE’S WORTH EVERY PENNY! I’m using CareCredit for one half of my mouth this year, and then we are going to stagnate out the other half once I can afford to do so.
Go here! You won’t regret it. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture.

I desperately needed my veneers replaced as they were 16 years old and starting to chip etc The dentist I was going to was on long term medical leave and I didn’t feel comfortable with his replacement, so my search on Unilocal for a dentist started. I’m so so happy I found Dr Sands she replaced all 8 of my veneers and gave me a new bridge and I couldn’t be happier with the results!!! I’m now coming here for all my dental needs and also have seen the hygienist here Reena who is also amazing! Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Sands is the best!
She has been my family dentist for years now. I highly recommend her. She was always patient with my son who was terrified of dental work.
He is now an adult and still going to her.

Dr. Sands has been caring for our family for many years — including my aging father. We are all very grateful for her excellent care and oversight of a lovely practice with fantastic staff. I’ve recommended several people to Dr. Sands’ practice — and they have all thanked me!
It’s no secret that many people are nervous about going to the dentist — so I thought I would share this unsolicited feedback from my 13-​year-​old after recently leaving the office after a cleaning and check up. «You know mom,» she said in very matter-​of-​fact tone, «Dr. Jamie is a really good dentist» (emphasis on the «really»). I think she was reflecting on Dr. Sands’ super professional but also incredibly kind & gentle approach. If a teenager approves… you know Dr. Sands is top-​notch!

Dr Sands and her staff make a visit to the dentist a great experience. You can see their professionalism and friendly environment as soon as to step into the well appointed office. Talking to Dr Sands you can tell right away that she cares for her patients.

I absolutely adore Dr. Jamie Sands!!! Being one that is terrified of dental work, she makes sure I always feel completely comfortable during any procedure. I’ve never met a Doctor that genuinely cares about her clients the way she does. The professionalism from each and every person that works there is on a completely different level than I’ve ever seen before. I highly recommend her. The staff is so lovely and always knows me by name. The «higher» prices that many people may complain about, is absolutely worth it. You’ll never get a dental experience as great as this one.

I love, love, love Jamie and her entire staff. Sounds odd to love a dentist, but this office is
off-​the-​charts unique. From the minute you walk in the door you’ll know you are in a special place. The office is bright, clean, and beautifully decorated, but that’s just the icing on the cake.
Many procedures are difficult for me because I have such a small mouth and a strong gag reflex. Jamie and her team are so patient, loving, and encouraging through every step of the way. Everyone is so kind and loving. Gorge is my favorite tech, he will literally hold my hand when I need it.
I was not taking care of my teeth before discovering this office. I dreaded going and therefore didn’t for 10 years. I had a lot of catching up to do and Jamie and her team have been terrific every step of the way. I’ve been a patient for 4 years now and even though I moved out of the area to Santa Clarita 3 years ago, I still drive to Studio City. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
Now my smile is filled with stunningly white and extremely healthy teeth.
Gotta mention Edith too, she manages the office and I love her. I don’t have dental insurance, so she introduced me to CareCredit which has helped a great deal. She always has time for me.

I’ve been to a number of dentists in my time (let’s just say I’ve had a LOT of dental issues), and Dr. Sands is easily the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Perhaps the most important difference that I’ve noticed between her and other dentists, is that she seems to love her job. I think that is most likely why she excels at it. She is extremely knowledgeable about her craft, and demands a higher standard from her staff and from her self. What’s great is that she is able to do this while also being extremely personable. Her chair-​side manor is warm and reassuring, and I’m not sure I’ve ever been to another office where every single person in that office is so super nice! She’s not the least expensive dentist out there, but hey, «You get what you pay for». If you’re going to spend a little extra on something, spend it on good health.

Clean office, close parking, amazing staff. The hygienists are courteous, knowledgable and thorough. Would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality work. Did I mention the reception staff knows you by name? Now that is awesome customer service!

Dr. Sands has been a part of our family since the early 2000’s. She is by far, hands down one of the most thorough and professional dentists I have ever had. Her entire staff is so friendly and always so helpful and available with whatever questions or concerns we have. I especially love Edith and her kind, warm-​hearted demeanor. The office is absolutely gorgeous. The equipment she and her team uses all the most current available. My teeth are impeccably taken care of by Dr. Jamie and her team. I work in the entertainment industry and my smile means everything to my work. Her team keeps this in mind and is always giving me advice on how to be proactive in keeping my smile gorgeous for as long as I can. I love the tips and helpful hints her hygienists give me! The goody bags are always a plus!
I have referred more than 10 different friends to her. All of my friends not only have the best looking and healthy smiles, but they are all her clients. This makes me feel amazing. And she even gives referral hand written thank you cards… who does that nowadays?!
Chances are if you see someone walking in LA with a magnetizing smile, Dr. Jamie has something to do with it! I will continue to spread the word about Dr. Jamie Sands!

I need a nightguard.
My dentist charges $ 325 — thought that was high so I called here.
Was told they charge $ 625. WTF!

Dr. Sands has been my dentist for about 2 years and she is a superb practitioner. She has an efficient and friendly staff and the most modern technical equipment out there. I knew I needed to have several caps done on my upper teeth. She was patient until I was ready. When I told her I wanted the whitest teeth I could get she listened carefully and we worked on whitening the lower teeth so they would match with the uppers. I came out with a beautiful, natural looking smile, a few shades lighter than I had before. She is a kind and caring dentist and extremely competent. My 5 stars are for the entire office!!!

Jamie runs a very nice, clean, and tech savvy office. Everyone here is very nice and willing to help you out with whatever you need. You can never forget about an appointment as they send you a text, email, and even call. Only set back is parking, but hey, we are in L.A. If you can’t find street parking be ready to pay $ 5+, depending on the length of your appointment. I only say this, because I HATE paying for parking, and I know there are others like me out there.

I just brought my dad to Dr Sands for the first time and he is very scared of the dentist. Dr Sands made his experience very great she was so gentle and all her staff members are great. My dad came in scared and left amazed he said «that he has never remembered the Dentist caring about you and trying to make you feel as comfortable as they could». I would recommend her to anybody she is truly a great Dentist

Dr Jamie Sands is excellent.
I have had several issues, that most Denist would have pulled the teeth. But Dr Jamie was able to them them.
Her caps are so natural, no one would ever know.
The entire office staff is a joy. You can tell they love their jobs.

Called to get pricing on regular AND deep cleaning… Totally overpriced!!!
They want $ 159. per cleaning and if you dare to ask for deep cleaning (below the gum-​line) they quoted me a whopping $ 1000. for 4 sessions at $ 250 per quadron…
In my opinion, WAY WAY overpriced!

Dr. Sands and her team are incredible. From the moment you want into the door and are greeted by the receptionist to the spotless office. I mean you could probably eat off the floor it’s so spotless.
Dr. Sands explains everything step by step. I am about half way through the Invisalign process and I could NOT be happier. I go now every three months for a cleaning with Rhina and see Jorge when getting new trays for Invisalign. They are seriously the best! They always work with my schedule too, I have to be at work fairly early and get me in and out fast if I need to be.
Oh one more thing… It’s been over 2 years since I recommended her to a friend for Veneers and my friend not only looks incredible but it has changed her confidence level, that look that good!
