Another one star review to add to the list. Lady was rude, lazy and clearly did not give a rats ass about serving me. Didn’t know the prices of her own services (dry cleaning) and did not know prices and schedule of seamstress for alterations. I said «uh ok I’ll just go somewhere else» and she replied «okay» lol!

The owner is a sneaky cheater. Horrible business. I went in to have a dress taken in. They pinned it and everything, but when I went to pick it up, first of all they weren’t friendly and seemed rudely rushed, so I was afraid to try it on there to make sure it fit well. So I took it home, put it on, and realized they had never taken it in! It was expensive too. But I could tell they weren’t nice and didn’t want to fight about it, so I just let it go. About a year later, my husband went in to have some jackets cleaned. He didn’t realize it was the same place that ripped me off. He forgot to pick up his jackets for a couple of months, but finally went it. The man behind the counter looked at his ticket suspiciously, then said my husband never gave them a phone number and would thus have to pay a storage fee! My husband argued that they never asked him for his number, and anyway no one told him there was a time limit and a storage fee. The guy backed down but told my husband that next time there WOULD be a storage fee. Give me a break! There are really nice dry cleaners in the area — avoid this one!

This man is a crook. My items weren’t clean and were completely overpriced. He was also VERY rude. Not your neighborhood dry cleaners.

I’m surprised everybody writing really bad about him and this place but still nobody care and he charge everybody more than he deserves!
Go hell man, he is cheater with ugly smile — JUST DONT GO THERE!

They got the stains out that I needed, and the service was friendly. The man made a few awkward jokes about my clothes being ruined and owing him $ 100 tip and I couldn’t tell he was joking which made me very uncomfortable, but for the most part he was very nice.

I can make no comment on their services because I could not even try them.
This cleaners does not seem to care about its customers or at least getting new ones. I walked in to an empty store and said hello to two people I saw in the back. I made eye contact with one woman, said hi, and she went to the back of the store. I waited another 10 minutes, still had no communication from anyone working there, and said hello again and asked if anyone could help me. The same woman rolled her eyes and walked into the back.
They do offer a 30% discount if you bring in your Trader Joe’s receipt.

I took my clothes to Laurelwood cleaners twice. The first time I picked up my dress shirts, all of my collar stays were missing. For reasons of convenience, I decided to take my dry cleaning back to Laurelwood. When I picked up my clothes, the sleeves on my favorite shirt were shrunk, and the button on my new dress pants was broken off. The only good thing is that I saved 30% off a bloated dry cleaning bill by buying an apple at Trader Joes. If you enjoy your clothes intact, and don’t need an apple from Trader Joes, don’t go here.

I hate this place. I am so mad I didn’t check Unilocal beforehand. We just moved into the neighborhood so we had some dress shirts that needed to be pressed NOT dry cleaned. The man at the desk, acted like he didn’t want to be bothered talking to us AT ALL. He mumbled something and we dropped off our things. When we went to pick up the shirts, he charged us $ 27 for dry cleaning. He didn’t care at all about the miscommunication. We just paid and left with the intent to never return again. I was going to ask about tailoring, as I had some pants I needed done, but no way. There wasn’t even an opportunity to ask anyway, as he seems to not want to act like he wants business.
What a waste of our time and money. We will so be going to Milt & Edies from now on, even if it’s a little further away from us.

Very unfriendly, expensive and refused to let me use the coupons they distribute on their front desk. There was one for 15% off tailoring and I had the sleeves shortened on my shirt… apparently that doesn’t fall under tailoring.

dropped a bunch of wash&fold there friday to pick up monday, when i would be bringing in my dry cleaning clothes as well (lots of travel, that stuff accumulate). He says there’s no way to know the price because he doesn’t have a scale, weird… well, tried to call monday, no answer. so i just went there by closing time.
there were not even sign of the clothes. he apologized and said they would be ready the next day and that he would call me when they were there (he clearly just drop the wash and fold somewhere else, not that i see any problem with it if the end result is OK… but still waiting to decide that). I decided to not even take the rest out of the car.
next day, i try to call. 7 times. no answer. so i just will have to drive up there AGAIN. let’s hope the end result is worth all that. will be updating this
update: ok my clothes where there this time. even though i never used the traders joe coupon he seems to dislike, he charged me for 55lbs instead of the 39lbs that i had. I would give him a call about that but i know calling is useless.

Rude and unprofessional are understatements!
I was quoted one price, but charged another. I needed to remind the owner to apply the 30% discount (applied with Trader Joes receipt). He gave me an attitude and called me CHEAP in front of the other customers. I was in shock!
Don’t fall for the 30% discount, they are expensive. If you decide to use them, insist on pricing «in writing» beforehand!
This was my first and LAST time ever stepping foot into this place. He will ultimately get caught for stealing people’s hard earned money. Shame on him!

I hate this particular parking lot… but stopped in on Saturday and picked up a few things from Trader Joe’s. I had my dry cleaning with me, so I decided to use the 30% off from Trader Joe’s and try them out. First of all, he closes at 7pm… ok, unless your work in the neighborhood, try getting to a dry cleaners near your house after work before 7pm! So I got there on Tuesday, parked in his reserved spot, 10 minutes maximum parking. OK, no problem, got my dry cleaning, and ran into Trader Joe’s, where I picked up 3 bananas… that is truly it. I get to my car, and the security guard is placing a ticket on my car. I was flabbergasted! I looked at the guy writing the ticket and he said the dry cleaner owner said he did not know whose car it was… so I walked in and showed him the ticket… which he then told the security guard yes, I had picked up my cleaning. (it was in the trunk, I would have been happy to show the guard). I walked away saying: «I hate this parking lot.»
Needless to say, I will not be going back. Milt & Edie’s, 24/​7, 365 days a year… and always impeccable work.

This is my first review ever on Unilocal,so that just goes to show you I’m pretty annoyed with this place.
I used Laurelwood Cleaners twice in the past. I mainly dropped off sweaters and dark items. I recently dropped off several items, including a white dress and white shorts. I did not have stains on them when I dropped them off. I got both pieces, plus other items back with spots, and a brownish wet stain across the front of the dress.
The owner did not offer to clean it again, I had to ask for him to clean it again. He also claimed he could not see the BIG brown stain on the dress. He also told me my clothes are not going to be cleaned well if I order next day (I never ordered next day, I pick up all my dry cleaning after several days). He also requested I pay for my entire bill ($ 70.00) before he re-​cleans my items. That’s fine, just remove the stains you put on my clothes.
I go back to pick up my clothes and the stains are still there. The dress is ruined! The shorts are still dirty. I point out the stains are still there and the owner gets really nasty. Blaming me, telling me… «I must not have seen the stain when I first dropped it off.» Even if that was the case, I brought it to the dry cleaners for them to CLEAN my clothes.
I’m pissed I paid this place to ruin my beautiful white dress and shorts (btw– the owner did not offer to reimburse me for the dress or the money I spent to «clean» it).
I will never, never, never go back. Terrible customer service. Awful cleaning.

Sucky customer service… barely got a «hello» from the guy! Expensive. Not going back after only 1 visit.

I hate going to the dry cleaners because I can’t stand the run around and extra charges here and there. That is not the case with this place at all! The prices are fair and the owner is the sweetest man you will ever meet!
I brought in about 15 items from jeans to sweaters to coats and my total was $ 67. That was with the discount from my Trader Joe’s receipt. They are so reasonable and do a great job. If you do want the 30% discount be sure to present your TJ’s receipt when you drop off your clothes! They will not accept the discount upon pick up.

I am a huge fan of fluff and fold in general! I am a busy single mom, and sometimes the time saved is worth almost anything. Anyway, I frequent the Trader Joe’s that is a few doors down, so I thought it would be convenient to drop off here.
I brought in a bag of clothes, and the owner helped me. He said that it was probably around 18 – 20 pounds (which, to my estimation, at $.99 per pound, would work out to that many dollars, yes?). When I came back to pick it up, he wanted $ 25. I asked if I could check the weight, and he said that he couldn’t weigh it in front of me.
Meanwhile, my friend had dropped off laundry as well, in a bag smaller than mine. When she picked it up, she was charged exactly $ 25 as well.
In addition, the laundry was folded so haphazardly that I refolded much of it. I cannot speak to their dry cleaning– they may be wonderful with that, but definitely find another location for your fluff and fold. Yuck.

Do not go here. I was fooled and my favorite beaded top was the causality. I went to Trader Joe’s and thought the 30% discount with your receipt was worth trying it out.
I brought several shirts and dresses, usually about 50 bucks worth at the place down the street I normally go to. Well, it was 75 dollars and that was with 30% off. Then when I got home I realized that all of the beads from my favorite shirt had been completely sucked or melted off.
On top of that he charged me to replace a broken button that was still left there when I got my shirt back.
I will never go back to this guy and I caution anyone else who thinks saving 30% is worth the price of your clothing.

What a bunch of crooks! Big sign on the front saying 99 cents/​pound for fluff and fold. should have known there was a catch! I dropped off probably 8 lbs of laundry and got charged 18.00! Turns out there is an 18 dollar minimum. they never mentioned that

DO NOT EVERY GIVE LAURELWOOD YOUR BUSINESS!!! I never take the time to write a review… who really has the time??? Definitely not me, but I am making the time now.
I have been working ridiculous hours and resorted to Fluff and Fold. Fabulous concept and worth the $$, until Laurelwood lost several FAVORITE pieces and claimed that it is not his fault, that I can’t PROVE it, and there is nothing he can do. NOT EVEN a refund on the $ 40 charged for the service. He actually joked that he is making NO $$ on Fluff and Fold and pulled one of the LOST items out of the bag and asked if I wanted to Dry Clean it. I refused and that item along with a few others are MIA. All he said was YOU CAN’T PROVE IT, NOT MY PROBLEM. It is one thing if it was sheets or PJ’s, but my favorite jeans, sweaters, etc. I was PISSED!!! Nothing I can do except for steer all business away from him.
