This place is absolutely incredible. I had to frame two huge 40×28 photos in 3 days. I went to michaels crafts first and on «sale», two custom frame jobs were about 1500 $ EACH. Are you kidding
Me? Each!!! Then I look on Unilocal and find Luis and went in for my quote. I was beyond elated considering my trauma from the michaels quote. I brought my pictures in and picked out two frames (they have a huge selection by the way– for ALL budgets and types of décor) all seeming very high quality and the pricing was straight forward. The lovely lady (her name starts with The letter D but my memory is bad) quoted me for both. No joke

Ps– I did select plexi glass rather than regular glass which will be heavier and obviously cost more– these pix go over bed frames so I didn’t want glass crashing my head if an earthquake happened LOL so please keep that in mind when reading the price I paid. plexi looks just the same as glass and is just perfect as far as I am concerned.

Super hppy with this place and will be telling friends and taking all my biz here. Minus one star for some communication failure, but not enough to keep me away. I brought in 7 pieces to be framed and got ALL OF THEM done for under $ 400, which is half of what another place quoted for just one of them. Go here. Do it now. Thank me later.

Every now and again you have to take a chance on a local place… I did and was very happy! Then I took my friend in for a re-​do on a picture she treasured and she was soooo on the fence with my recommendation… She picked it up today and is Over The Moon!

I wanted my favorite picture framing, and took my wild framing ideas to that OTHER store, on Ventura Blvd. They quoted $ 900+. I walked out, still laughing.
I took the same picture to Luis on Cahuenga and he simply asked me what my budget was. Then we worked together to figure out the best materials and glass– in the end I got more than I wanted, for just $ 375.
He also finished the job in less than a week, just before Christmas. The work Luis did was nothing short of spectacular. I explained that my print was worth a little bit of money, and would prefer it not to be glued down, so in a pinch I could take it out of the frame and sell it. So, he somehow suspended the picture ‘above’ the mounting, which I wasn’t sure about at first sight, but it does look awesome. With a spotlight on the picture, it seems to levitate out of the frame in a 3D effect. Add to that museum grade UV-​resistant glass, and it’s GREAT. I won’t go to another framer. In fact, I’m going back to Luis next week with something else to frame.

You will never find a nicer person nor better prices anywhere else. Luis went out of his way to make sure that both of the large (4′ x 6′) mirrors I purchased were made, delivered and hung to my satisfaction, at a fraction of the cost other frame shops quoted. Price, quality and service. Luis is the man!

Luis is the best framer I have ever used. He has a great eye, really has a lot of pride in his work, is a master craftsman, and has a lovely family, who often help in the shop. Super honest, and his pricing is fair. I doubt you will find a better framer in the Los Angeles area. I have an art gallery, and he has framed hundreds of works for us over the past several years. I could not recommend him more highly. He is reliable, and is a super nice guy.
