Robert Gonzalez, DC – ProHealth Physical Medicine

I love this staff, especially Dr. G and his new Physician’s Assistant, Jack Manson. I recently had a knee injury and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Jack explained everything very thoroughly and Dr. G is the best chiropractor I’ve ever had. He always gets my neck to move where in the past, other DC’s couldn’t budge it.

The entire team here is truly amazing!

On temporary assignment here in Studio City I was BLESSED to be able to be part of the ProHealth family. What a phenomenal team they have in place. The chiropractor in this office — Dr. Robert Gonzalez is a gifted adjuster and absolutely cares from the heart for each and every patient with his beautiful wife Ann running the entire office. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Karina till you are flowed thru the office by Alice to the P.T. team of Jessica and Ron who really know their stuff!, to meeting with the P. A Jack. Every experience makes you feel like you’re the only patient they have — even when it’s flowing with activity with many patients. And that doesn’t even get into their incredible massage therapists Martha, Paulette and Alice. Going to miss this crew a lot when I head back to Arizona. 100% recommend this amazing place of healing.

They are truly one of the best medical teams I have had the chance to be treated by in L.A. From the front desk staff to the doctors everyone always has a smile on their face and kind words to offer. I was having a really bad day last Saturday and everyone did their best to put a smile on my face and that’s service you can’t pay for. Dr. G n my opinion is one of the best Chiropractors in all of Los Angeles. Do yourself a favor and check them out… everyone needs a good adjustment at least twice a week.

Call me a fool if you may but I am extreme athlete training 2 hours a day, 7 days a week and yet don’t get the proper rest, massage, therapy etc; that a body in constant extreme motion needs. About a year ago, I suffered from what I thought was a pinched nerve which eventually went away on its own. A year later, currently, I began to suffer from extreme pain in the same area (lower vertebrae) to the point where even I, who never gets medical attention, knew it was serious and time to get some help. Not to mention, I’ve been suffering from migraines and headaches almost daily since I was a teen.
I have never been to a chiropractor so I did my Unilocal research. ProHealth is minutes from my apartment and has excellent reviews so it was put on my list of offices to call to gather information and prices. I called around to a few places but ProHealth instantly stood out. The woman answering the phone (whom is no longer a stranger to me) was so vibrant and caring that I was instantly sold not even caring that much about price (I do not have insurance covering such treatment). I explained my problem, she described the steps they take, and I decided to make a consultation. For those who aren’t familiar, chiropractors in the area all give a free consultation and then charge about $ 140 – 170 for a session and then about 60 and up thereafter. ProHealth is no exception.
I arrived for my first consult and was instantly greeted as though I was family. Nerves were settled right away. I WANTED to be there. I WANTED to be apart of this family! ProHealth has chiropractors, physical therapists, MD docs, and an acupuncturist on staff. Plus, it is very much sports medicine inclined which is great for me. I filled out some paperwork and waited to be treated. Pictures were taken of my posture while I was waited for Dr. Gonzalez. Once he arrived, I explained my pains and situations and he seemed to know right away what was wrong at which point I was then moving on to the doc who also stated I have a torn ligament in my lower back and also a compressed (but not pinched) nerve. I won’t get into details about my personal medical issues but the point is that they were so amazingly clear, concise, and friendly that it was a pleasure to be there.
ProHealth offers various treatment plans from therapy to adjustments so you can go mild or intense with your treatment. Be ready to pay for your first visit during your consult ($ 150). The staff is great with scheduling and always welcoming. Dr. Gonzalez is friendly and personable but also very much an expert in his field. It’s like going to a friend’s house who happens to be a doctor.
Have budget issues? I barely have money to survive and no insurance (except Cali Medicaid) so my health takes the back burner because I can’t afford any care. ProHealth is willing to work with you. Aside from insurance, they accept cash, credit, card, and also Care Credit. In my case, Dr. G even hooked me up with a friends and family discount because he knew I needed help but have no money and no family to help me out. How awesome is that?!
Be sure to check-​in on Unilocal when going to ProHealth because currently, you can get a free B-​12 shot in your boo-​tay! How «cali» is that? All jokes aside, B-​12 shots have benefits so worth trying to see if it is for you.
Again, I won’t get into much detail about my personal treatment or issues because it is subjective and won’t apply to you but the care here is fantastic. The staff is intelligent but super casual and friendly while being professional and they truly want you to be healthy. ProHealth and Dr. Gonazalez is definitely recommended for those in the Valley needing chiropractor care whether or not you have insurance.

Dr. G is the bomb diggity.
I was a passenger in a t-​bone car accident 1.5 years ago and had been searching for a chiropractor. I had been suffering from neck pain, sleep loss, and weekly migraines. I was a dancer/​surfer/​cyclist before the accident and due to the migraines and neck pain, had not been able to get back to the things I loved. I also was suffering pinched nerves almost every few weeks.
After one visit with Dr. G, he told me that he will write up a treatment plan/​estimate to fax to the insurance company of the man who hit us. (I do not have adequate health insurance) Not only did his professionalism and accuracy help me get a settlement for a treatment plan, his entire staff seemed to care about the outcome.
Dr. Gonzalez changed my life. He has adjusted me only 3 times now but has implemented multiple practices into my daily repertoire that have helped to 1) take away the pain 2) strengthen the muscles around my neck 3) correct my spine and posture. Coming from a dancer, I thought I knew posture! I think I may have had a bit of depression because of all the pain and loss of range of motion. But I now feel more energized, happier and hopeful.
He is so friendly and down to earth, the office is in a convenient location for running errands and parking and the entire experience just rocks.

I’ve been around the block a time or two when it comes to chiropractic and acupuncture treatments… and gotta say, I’ve had no regrets whatsoever coming to see Dr. G and his wonderful «pin-​pusher,» Elina. They both exude kind & positive energy from every cell of their always upbeat selves. It must rub off cause I drag my road-​worn body in there once or twice a week and always leave feeling 20 pounds lighter.
Seriously though, their practice offers more health services than the menu at a Tapas bar… all in one place. So it makes perfect sense if you’re on a busy schedule and don’t want to spend your entire day choking on car fumes transversing the city in search of pain relief and full body maintenance. Heck, they even remember your name, have comfortable seating, a clean bathroom and a chilled water dispenser. This is the way a professional Dr’s office should be run: efficient and welcoming. What could be better? (well, maybe include a banana yogurt with blueberries… :-)

I absolutely love this place! I came here for knee pain and even in the few weeks since I’ve started I have noticed a decrease in my pain! All the staff are so friendly and accommodating with my schedule. Dr G’s adjustments are fantastic and both Ron and Jess the physical therapists really take the time to cater the session to your needs and limitations that day. You can tell from the moment you enter the office that patient care is their first priority. Highly, highly recommend pro health physical medicine!

I’ve got to say. I’ve been coming to this office since the previous Dr was here and Dr G has been running an impeccable office. Always welcoming, helpful and the only Dr office I know that plays 80’s music while I’m waiting to see him. I had a pretty bad car accident in December of 2015 and with Dr G’s expertise, care and guidance I was able to heal as swiftly and quickly as possible. All around great office. The girls in the front are always cheerful and welcoming (they told me to say that…) Jen, the physical therapist, also helped get me back on my feet in no time… You will not only get great care here but feel like you are in the hands of a trusted chiropractor.

I came here after a car accident, and these guys are absolutely top-​notch. After being referred by a friend and reading the Unilocal reviews, I knew I came to the right place. They combine chiropractic treatment with physical therapy. The staff is polite and on point. I am very happy I found then because I had a bad experience at a chiro two years ago. I will be sticking with Dr. G.

This place. SAVED. MY. LIFE. I am a dancer living in LA and I first stumbled in to ProHealth looking for help with my knees. I was tired of living in pain and had never been to a chiropractor before and I am so glad this was where I came first. These people are the sweetest, kindest, silliest little family and I just adore every single one of them. They actually CARE about you. They listen to you. They want to help you. They are passionate about their jobs. You can tell they love what they do and have gone over and beyond for me… and many others. A few months ago, the night before the opening of a show I was dancing in, I tore my calf. I was panicking, crying, hysterical and not sure if I would be able to perform, so I ran over to Dr. G to ask for help. He took such great care of me. Not only did he do work on my body but he taped me up AND gave me a pep talk. I did two shows. He even came the first night to support us and make sure I was going to be ok. This man is brilliant. His entire team is brilliant. If you need help with your body, come here. I won’t go anywhere else. Thank you ProHealth for being my home away from home and treating me like your own kid! I would highly suggest this place to anyone and everyone, especially newbies! The massage therapists are also really amazing… between chiro and massage once a week, I feel like I have a new body. I can dance again. I can walk up and down stairs. I can live without pain. I can LIVE. I love this place.

This place is amazing! Dr. G has so much positive energy and is an excellent chiropractor. The whole staff is there to make sure you leave feeling better then when you came in. The massage therapist Martha is the best! I feel fully energized and relaxed after. The B12 shots the PA Tiffany administers are also great. Gives you great energy throughout the week. I have been going here for a while and I will never stop. Its the best thing I have done for my health!

I basically live at ProHealth! They offer so many amazing services that I’ve stopped having to go to other businesses I used to frequent. The entire reason I’m even a patient is because of Heidi. I came in as a walk in just to see if they even took my insurance. She was on the case and within 10 minutes everything was taken care of and I had my next 6 appointments in the books. Heidi is the best and always takes amazing care of me and she will do the same for you too.
Chiropractor: amazing. Dr. G is not only a great practitioner but extraordinarily pleasant to be around. He has one of the best bed side manners I’ve ever experienced and knows his stuff.
The Physicians Assistant, Tiffany, is becoming one of my favorite people. She has been so instrumental in my feeling better between B12 shots, and a number of other things that I feel better just knowing she’ll be working on me that day.
Physical therapy: I’ve been all over the shop with PT. Jessica is amazing. I had shoulder surgery over a year ago and thought that my crappy range of motion was all I was ever going to have back, but even in just 2 months with her it’s gotten so much better.
Acupuncture: I never thought I’d actually try it, but I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. I’ve gone from being terrified of needles to being much better, and actually looking forward to appointments.
Massage: I’ve officially had a massage from all of their therapists now and I am always pleased with the result. Not all of the massages are supposed to be nice and relaxing, I’m supposed to be having the really intense massages to break up scar tissue, but each of the therapists know the right balance between the pain of breaking up the bad stuff and helping me relax afterwards.
Overall if you come here I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

I bring my whole family here for regular chiro. As a matter of fact, I feel like I’m visiting family when I come into this very friendly, yet extremely professional office. The staff are all so personable and welcoming every time we visit.
When you first walk in you’ll be warmly greeted by everyone; first Heidi, with her amazing smile; or the equally charming Alice. Eventually, everyone there will acknowledge you and come to recognize you by name. If you appreciate great service then you won’t be disappointed with the level of consistency here at Pro Health.
And when my 11 year old athlete daughter strained her ankle, the talented Ron did a fantastic job with physical therapy — his knowledge, experience, and great personality helps to put us both at ease throughout the process.
Dr. Gonzalez always adds value to my visit by sharing a wealth of physical/​medical related knowledge as well as general advice that I continue to apply with great success. (Ask him about S.T.O.P.)
When Dr. Gonzalez was on vacation, Dr. Farbenbloom did a fantastic job as well.

I can’t recommend this place enough. I have been adjusted by many chiropractors since moving to Los Angeles. It’s been hot and cold with my past chiropractors. Some were Ok, some fell under the «crack and pop» umbrella. They weren’t really concerned with my overall health. Well, this place is all about getting you whole again. Friendly and warm is an understatement. Dr G and my Saturday morning adjustment has become my routine. I can’t imagine changing that up anytime soon.
Don’t even blink, just make an appointment.

The last time I saw a chiropractor, my migraines got worse. Last time I was in physical therapy, I left the clinic with a migraine every time. Then I found this place. I always leave Dr. G and this clinic feeling great! I was badly hurt in a hit and run, and the combination of adjustments, PT, acupuncture, and massage I got here not only have made me feel physically better, but they helped me through the post-​accident emotional crisis as well. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and treats me like an individual person, not a case number. I feel taken care of as well as cared for. Cannot recommend enough.

I have had quite a few chiropractors over the past 25 years, in three different cities across the U.S.: Orlando, Nashville and now LA where I moved last year. I can honestly say that Dr. G is as great a chiropractor as it gets. I’ve had a chronic neck problem that some former doctors could only adjust some of the time, but Dr. G gets it every single time. I also recently developed a lower back issue which forced me to seek out a chiropractor in LA. The first doctor could not get my lower back to shift, but again, Dr. G not only got it to shift the first time, he gets it every time. And he gave me exercises to help keep it loosened up. Lastly, he actually found a rib that had been out of place since I broke my arm when I was a child, and he corrected it. None of my other chiropractors had ever dug deeply enough to discover the problem, so it had never been fixed. This wasn’t without some pain afterward, but this was normal because it had been out of alignment for decades. Once that subsided after a couple of weeks, I found I was able to have better posture in my life than I’ve ever had. I can now get my rounded shoulders back where they belong. Now it’s up to me to continue to do my corrective exercises… no more slumping! (:
Okay, so that’s it for his professional capacity. Now on to perhaps the best part:
I LOVE HIM!!! He is so friendly, fun, upbeat and positive, and that is infectious! Exactly what you want in a doctor, especially a holistic one. Do yourself a favor and try him if you need a chiropractor. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, you may well be pleasantly surprised.

I was really skeptical about going to see a chiropractor, I was told for the longest time if I went I would get addicted and have to go for the rest of my life. SO not the case, Doctor G addressed all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable and more educated on the subject. I highly recommend him. He’s not only educated and good at his job but very caring. If you are in pain, go see him. Emily the receptionist is also very nice and welcoming! And the price can’t be beat:) Thanks Guys!

Dr. G is the man! Been seeing him for about 6 months now and he’s the best. Really do get immediate relief every time I see him. As he puts it…“we turned the lights back on”! Was suffering from back injury from doing CrossFit and he helped me heal quickly. Heck, I even went in one time on a Monday morning, had a bit of a hangover from Sunday Football, and after his adjustment I was good to go… no kidding! Great adjustments and he has me feeling like I’m brand new every time I walk out of there!!!

Dr. Robert Gonzalez is the REAL DEAL. His understanding of the mind-​body connection is extremely impressive. I have received excellent chiropractic care in his office that is resolving a lot of old, chronic stiffness and pain. And I also did a private meditation instruction with him — amazing, and highly recommended. I am looking forward to learning more about the Ayurvedic/​nutritional aspects of his practice, as well as trying his in-​house massage therapist, who I hear is fantastic.
As an added bonus, Dr. G’s staff is great. I even get text reminders before appointments.

Dr. Gonzalez and his staff are fantastic. Like so many, I occasionally suffer from lower back issues and during my latest exacerbation, I decided to finally try adding chiropractic care to my cocktail of back pain remedies. I approach every therapy from pure western medicine to holistic health with equal parts of an open mind and skepticism. Dr. Gonzalez made me a believer. He is very knowledgeable on his craft, friendly, patient, gentle, and effective. He created a fair and affordable care plan for me with repeated visits over several weeks combined with massage (Heidi is amazing!). He also was very helpful in introducing new stretching, and other therapeutic modalities to my existing repertoire for restoring balance and strength and flexibility in my lower back. My back pain and muscle spasm issues are enormously improved. I would recommend his practice to anyone looking for chiropractic care.

Dr. Gonzales and his team and office in general are everything you would hope for and more. He is amazing in helping people recover from pain. Office is very comfortable. I’ve also had a massage there and it was incredible… deep treatment but not painful… healing. I highy recommend Dr. G and Chiro-​Veda for chiropractic and stress relief as well.

I have been going to Dr. G for about 4 months on a weekly basis and am shocked by the transformation in my body and overall wellbeing!
I did not believe in chiropractic but have known Dr. G for a while now and had a really good recommendation from a friend so decided to try him out when my back was hurting.
I could barely move my neck to the left side and now am impressed by the range of motion. No pain anymore.

Hands down the best chiropractic experience I’ve ever had. Dr. G is incredibly intuitive, amazingly effective, and genuinely cares about your ad a person and about your wellbeing. His whole staff is just so inspiring to be around. I highly recommend him and his offices full suite is services.

I have had back (and occasionally neck) problems on and off for over 30 years. Dr. Gonzalez is the best I have been treated by.
Not only is he very good at his craft, he is also one of the friendliest and most caring Health Services professionals. His office staff is very friendly as well, and always make you feel welcome. The waiting room is comfortable, they provide complimentary water and a choice of soothing teas.
They are very flexible and always willing to do their best to work you in if you are in need an emergency treatment.
When you show up for your scheduled appointment, you rarely have to wait to be treated, and when you do, it is usually a very short wait, typically less than 15 minutes.
As for Message Therapists, Heidi is the best ever. if you have had massages before and they were OK, but not great, you really must try a massage from Heidi — she is the best — EVER !

I have been a skeptic of chiropractors for the longest time… that is, until I met Dr. Robert Gonzalez. This guy is just amazing! He is absolutely not about getting you in the office for a quick visit and get you out. He really wants to know how he can help you get better not just today but for the long haul.
The first time I saw Dr. Gonzalez was when I had severe back pain. He took his time to explain what the underlying cause of the pain was and then gave me a game plan to heal me. He made me understand what I needed to do to get better and stay healthier. I feel better and, quite frankly, haven’t felt this good in a very long time. The chronic pain that was always nagging me is certainly not there.
