I heard about Kate Leone from my cousin and started following her on Instagram. I recently visited Kate for makeup and hair because I was a bridesmaid at a wedding. I needed someone to ensure that I was put together for the special occasion and ready for all the wedding photos we would be taking.
Kate has been a special events makeup artist and hair stylist for around 8 years. She works from a salon in Northridge and in Studio City.
I came into the salon and told her that I was thinking about getting one of Gwen Stefani’s many hair styles. I showed 28 different Gwen Stefani hairstyles to help me decide. I originally wanted a pompadour up do, but I told her about my laid back everyday look with my hair usually tied back. She recommended I get Gwen’s more feminine 30s/​70s glam look, instead of an updo.
I walked in looking totally disheveled to leaving super glamourous, and picture ready. I was a little embarrassed to go out in public since I knew that this look would get a lot of attention. Even the lady at the Robek’s where I picked up my one meal smoothie of the day loved my makeup. People at the wedding also raved about my makeup and hair. I feel that Kate did a wonderful job! My makeup and hairstyle stood out from the rest of the wedding party.
Kate not only does makeup, but she also cuts and colors hair. She describes her vision as bringing more sexiness to hair styles.
Kate’s prices are reasonable and she’s fun to talk to. She made the morning I was with her fly by so fast.
