We are proud to offer tutoring in most subjects throughout all grades. Our method begins by first examining where the student lacks proficiency or organization. From there, we set learning goals with the family and work to reach them in a reasonable amount of time. It is through this process that all may understand exactly where the sessions are headed. Ultimately, success is achieved as the student is able to ask whatever questions he or she may have, learn from previous mistakes and take chances by experimenting with content, all within a safe environment.

As a rule, we work exclusively with the student’s homework assignments and scheduled tests. We would never want to overwhelm our students with extra work.

Sessions are generally held in the student’s home. A supervising adult is required to be in the home, but not necessarily in the same room. If this arrangement presents a problem, the local library may be used instead.

History

Established in 2010.

Classical Tutor is a registered LLC. It was formed to address the needs of students who are not performing to their potential in the classroom. The students we serve may need help with concentration, organization, personal attention or motivation. At Classical Tutor, we carefully consider whatever needs our students have and work to meet them. Success is achieved by the student as he or she learns the subject matter and simply, how to learn.
