I work with kids in the hospital setting and I learned some new tricks from this practice. Liz (?) the dental hygienist was simply amazing with my daughter who is a very active and stubborn 2 year old. She worked magic with her explaining all the steps, letting her touch the equipment and being an active participant in her 2^nd cleaning (her first was a grab and hold on disaster at a different practice). She anticipated my daughter’s discomfort and went back to play to gain her trust. Amazing. Dr. Donley was equally as skilled, personable and wonderful. I felt horrible as a wrong turn made us late and offered to make another appt but they were able to work us in. Glad we found this practice.

Dr. Donley and the staff are as good as they get. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Donley since 2008. The whole staff is friendly and courteous. I have NEVER had to wait more than a few minutes of my appointment time, yet Dr. Donley answers all the questions and never rushes to the next patient. The waiting room is bright, child friendly and has plenty of toys and books.
Most importantly, Dr. Donley’s skill and ability to talk to kids in a fun and respectful manner make the appointments a breeze. My daughter never has any anxiety on our drive to the appointment. Dr. Donley always has a joke to tell and laughing during the appointment is guaranteed. She welcomes parents to accompany the child to the exam room. I have been to other dentists where this is frowned upon. Before, during, and after the exam, Dr. Donley communicates to both the child and the parent what she is doing. I have never been pressured to do procedures that weren’t necessary, such as using nitrous oxide, but the option is available. At other practices, dentists routinely use nitrous oxide because they don’t want to deal with uncooperative or crying kids.
Dr. Donley ends every appointment by giving positive encouragement to the child, and emphasizing that she is available ²⁴⁄₇. Even after moving out of town, we continue to use Dr. Donley as our dentist. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

I was trying to find a good pediatric dentist for my son who is 2.5yrs old, knowing how he hates doctor visits or even haircuts. Everything is a struggle and crying.
My pediatrician, who is also fabulous: Dr. Brian DiGiovanni from Post Road Pediatrics, recommended Dr. Donley. After reading a Unilocal review for her, I felt more confident but still unsure how my son would take anyone trying to work on his teeth.
Today was our visits, and I was speechless.
My son was calm, happy, and loved having his teeth cleaned. The staff and dr. Cara are amazing, they treated him like a little man explaining everything they were doing letting him touch and look at every tool they were using. I am SO very happy I found such a fantastic dentist for my son I would recommend her to everyone!!!

Dr. Cara Donley and her staff are THE BEST! They can get my 3 year old to sit in a chair by himself! I couldn’t believe it when I saw it! They go through a step-​by-​step process, picking out a toy, picking out toothpaste, flouride.etc. etc. They give the kids to wear to block out the bright light while they are having their teeth cleaned. Each time it gets abit more involved, but my little man loves having his teeth cleaned, Dr. Donley and her staff are AWESOME! If there is ever a problem (and we have already had one), she is available ²⁴⁄₇ for consult. It’s bright, it;s clean. I think it’s slightly expensive, but that’s medical care for you, time to consider insurance I guess!
We have referred 2 friends to Dr. Donley, and they all love her too. She is the best around, so glad we found her!
