I’d just purchased a new pair of jeans and, within 24 hours of cutting off the tag, managed to spill melted butter down the front of ‘em. I tried all sorts of stain removers, but nothing worked. After washing them four times, I finally broke down and took the jeans, along with a couple silk blouses and a blazer, to Hercules Cleaners. On top of the buttery jeans, one of the blouses I dropped off had intricate glass beading on the shoulders and had already been turned away by one dry cleaners due to the risk involved in working with the garment. Hercules cleaners took all my items and, five days later, got them back to me in mint condition.
