Truly excellent customer service, plus the flowers were perfect. The gentleman on the phone even took the time to take a picture of the available vases and email them to me immediately. Couldn’t have asked for better.

Allison was a dream to work with and very supportive throughout the entire process. She was receptive to all of my ideas, tried to work within our budget and save us money where ever possible, and handled any last minute changes to our order without issue.
My one complaint was that I didn’t like my bouquet (I loved my bridesmaid bouquets and the centerpieces!)…I had given her several example pictures of the bouquet I wanted and listed preferred flowers, but somewhere there was a misunderstanding. Perhaps it was my fault that I wasn’t clear enough, though Allison didn’t send me pictures of her ideas or ask for clarification.
Overall, great work and a pleasure to work with, just be sure to be clear about the exact style you want!

Order a plant arrangement from them with a special request and Caroline who took the order and Frugal done a great job. The person I sent it to, was very please.

So the father of a friend died so I sent a large floral arrangement to the family. I was out of town so I could not be there to deliver myself. I told the woman who took my order at Frugal my name is James, the name on the credit card is James. At some point she figured that she would christen me Jim, a name that I have never been called or used. She put from Jim on the card. I had heard nothing from the family who received the flowers but what am I going to do, call and ask… well one month later I get a thank you card from my friends thanking me for the flowers and stating until they called Frugal they thought the flowers were from different people they new as Jim. At this point dose it matter whether the flowers were nice or not, they had no idea who they were from. Really, who in their right mind would ask you your name and then write a card for you using a nick name or in my instance a name that you have never been called… There is so many things I would like to say but I am going to keep this as nice as I know how.

We could not have been more pleased with Allison and her work! We met with her briefly and discussed what we were looking for and she took it from there. Allison has an excellent understanding of how to incorporate a clients wishes into unique and beautiful art and we were overwhelmed by the product we received. I have worked in florist shops for a number of years and participated in a few design competitions; Allison has an exceptional knowledge of the field and her prices were more than reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend giving Allison and the Frugal Flower your consideration.

Working with Allison was a pleasure. We had the most beautiful flowers for our wedding. We had 30 centerpieces made, 8 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 larger bridal bouquet, two long alter decorations, I think around 20 boutineers and everything was delivered on time and the exactly how I wanted. I could not have asked for better service, response time and delivery from Allison and her team. I also liked that she was open to negotiation with prices and gave good suggestions for how to stay within budget. We paid about $ 3,800 for all of the above.

Placed on online order for same day delivery, but was not alerted until then end of day that they wouldn’t be able to fulfill the order. Very disappointing…

Terrible, terrible service.
Promised same day delivery with a confirmation email. Flowers were never sent. I emailed them on the 2^nd day after the bouquet didn’t show up and only then did they admit that the delivery service had messed up and failed to «print out the order.» That was it. No offer to refund a $ 15 delivery fee. No reaching out to the customer sooner and it took them a full business day to even respond to me after I was forced to contact them.
Just called again after I sent back an email requesting a refund of the delivery fee and got no reply. The woman was incredibly rude — listen, I’m the customer who just paid you $ 60 for a plant that has still yet to arrive; don’t speak to me as though I’m the one whose screwed up. I requested the refund and asked her on the ETA of the plant. She said «she would get back to me.» I told her I would stay on the phone with her. She declined, saying that «this was going to take 20 – 30 minutes.» I had to prompt her to call me back.
What a ridiculous business. Stay far, far, away.

I ordered flowers, requesting next day delivery. I was emailed a confirmation of the order, I assumed that meant that the order was actually placed and would be sent out for delivery the next day. WRONG. Flowers were scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. No Delivery. I sent e-​mail on Tuesday night asking if they were delivered. Wednesday morning I got an e-​mail saying they don’t deliver to that area. This was not a remote location, this was a suburb of SEATTLE, kind of a big city. The e-​mail they sent said they were not able to deliver to Bothwell, Colorado. I checked my order to make sure I did not make an error, nope all good on my end to Bothell, Washington complete with the address and zip code. A quick google search shows that there is no town called Bothwell, Colorado.
They send me an e-​mail saying they could Fed-​ex some flowers next week. Uh, no, that won’t work. I called the customer service line and got no help at all. The woman on the end of the line seemed to have a standard answer…“I’m just the messenger”. Either she gets lots of complaints or she just doesn’t want to help.
If the flowers are important, don’t use this company. Frankly, they weren’t even that frugal.

Great service and my mother-​in-​law loved her roses. My sister-​in-​law was with her mother when the roses arrived, and she said they were beautiful. Prices are very reasonable and ordering was so easy. I would highly recommend The Frugal Flower and will use them again.

I absolutely love this place! I was a florist and had a shop in the San Francisco area for years. I moved to Boston last summer and was hopping to find a good supplier. Normally I would just get my wholesale license but this place is so affordable that I didn’t see the need. The staff is so helpful and friendly and they remember me when I come back. The quality of the flowers is fantastic too.

GREAT customer service! My boyfriend ordered flowers for Valentine’s day delivery — Friday. A snow storm delayed delivery until Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, the vase was broken and the flowers weren’t as fresh as what I’ve experienced before. One email to Customer Service and new flowers were on their way. They arrived and are absolutely stunning! Frugal Flowers — thanks from both of us!

So I’ve ordered from here probably half a dozen times and each time I deal with them, I regret doing so. From losing orders to double charging my credit card, to excessive delivery fees (and spamming of your Inbox), I think you can do better.
Today I decided I’d be better off hiring a TaskRabbit to pick up (nicer) bouquets from Sudbury Farms and hand deliver them instead. Note: if you haven’t bought flowers at Sudbury Farms, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the impressive size, freshness, and general appearance of the bouquets they assemble. (Make sure, of course, to have the on-​duty florist create it for you as opposed to simply choosing something that has been pre-​made.)
Anyway, some of the problems I’ve had with Frugal Flowers in the past — found by searching by archived Gmail threads — include:
5÷8÷2007: Double Charged
Was charged twice on my credit card for a single order: first was for $ 64.97, second for $ 64.98. Not even sure how that is even possible? Almost as if they tried to divide $ 129.95 in half (and applied both to my card)? Very strange. Emailed their customer service email several times and received no response whatsoever. Had to call my credit card company to resolve.
5÷8÷2008: Late/​Unconfirmed Delivery
Can you sense a theme here with the dates? Ordered in the early AM for my mom’s birthday and by the late afternoon, she had yet to receive. Called/​emailed and was told «you will receive a delivery confirmation when the driver comes back from his deliveries». As you can probably guess, never received a response.
2÷11÷2014 (Today): Delivery Fees
Called today to order 2 bouquets (by no means a huge order, but well over $ 100). Regardless of your order size, they charge you $ 15 per item delivered. Browsing through prior orders and I realize I’ve been paying this (in some cases ~35% of the order). My order today was for two bouquets to be delivered within a mile of each other. Best of all, they never mention the charge to you (I only backed into it when I asked specifically for the invoice total).
Any given day: Spam
God forbid you get on their mailing list, they will send you unsolicited bulk email day in and day out. There is of course no opt-​in that happens; if you provide your email in the hope of receiving a delivery confirmation (see above), they will start to spam you. This obviously goes against the policies of all the email marketing companies; I finally had to report them to ConstantContact to stop getting emails sent.
Long time ago (no longer have access to that email):
While a freshman in college, I had Valentine’s Day flowers sent to my then-​high school senior girlfriend finishing her senior year at L-​S. Suffice it to say I was surprised — and a bit embarrassed — when they never showed up. Try telling a high school aged female that you did order them, it was in fact the florist’s mistake for losing the order!
P. S. Make sure to check out the «14 others reviews that are not currently recommended». A full 12 of these 14(!) reviews are 1*. It’s more than a bit suspicious that only the 14 positive reviews show up /​are counted in the overall star rating. If Unilocal actually included the other legitimate reviews, their 4.5* average would be much closer to 2.5*.

I had flowers delivered to a friend and they got there in a box and were completely limp! The flowers looked like it was time to throw them away! I would have been better off not sending anything than sending dead flowers! How embarrassing.

Paid $ 90 for flowers with the personalized vase and I really regret it.
Firstly, i ordered the flowers 5 days before the delivery date. I had wanted the flowers delivered during the morning because it was my wife’s birthday and I knew she wasn’t going to be at work the entire day. There was no option to choose morning/​afternoon. I am a frequent flower buyer, so i knew you can usually pick mornings/​afternoons. But not this place! So i emailed them and asked, if they could deliver in the morning. But Michelle (from Frugal flowers) responded, «we cannot guarantee a morning delivery». I then responded, because i was confused — in my experience, you can make morning deliveries happen, especially after giving 5 days notice. Again, she responded, Unfortunately, we cannot dictate a time preference with Fedex. We have no control over their delivery schedule”. Customer service at its very best — don’t be frugal!
TIP — if a customer emails you twice asking for something entirely reasonable, don’t just say you cannot do it! Do your best to help the customer. Get a new delivery person! Think people, think! Don’t be frugal!
Secondly, the flowers got shipped a day before and were delivered after 3pm — after the wife had left work! Don’t be frugal!
Thirdly, the flowers were shipped dry (i.e. no moist wrap). Beginners? And because of this, when my wife finally opened them the day after, the edges were browning and they didn’t look fresh at all. Don’t be frugal!
After spending $ 90, including delivery of $ 15, i was dis-​appointed and rightly so. NEVER buy flowers from these people — after all, they are frugal! I should have known!

We used the Frugal Flower for our wedding this past weekend. They were great, especially Allison who worked with us. We came to them pretty last minute with our order (just a few weeks before the wedding) and they were able to accommodate us with beautiful arrangements. Most affordable florist I’ve ever come across — would definitely recommend them.

Amazing place! You can definitely tell these people have strong family values and they will bend over backwards to make you happy, not to mention the flowers are beautiful. I won’t go anywhere else for my flowers. This place gets 10 stars in my book.

Samantha! Can I start and end with that? She was not only helpful but just plain awesome. Totally on target with what we wanted.
This isn’t a huge establishment. Their walk in cooler is familiar to Kabloom but it’s arranged quite nicely. They have glass vases available for very reasonable prices. They offer 3 or 4 orchid stems for $ 3 — are you serious? That is like incredibly inexpensive! I was floored!
I actually called a few days before trying to find a florist for an event that called for 14 table arrangements. I told them how much I had to spend per arrangements and the colours I needed.
When I got there, Samantha knew who I was, had been thinking about the arrangements and was raring to go with the bowls and vases I was going to provide.
She created two different arrangements, taking my suggestions seriously and sent me on my way — in totally awe. I was prepared to pay, but they gave me the arrangements for free.
It was quite professional.
So yeah, we are totally going to use them.

I bought flowers on a whim since my family lives right down the street in Marlboro. I LOVED the selection! They even had my favorite flower: Freesia.
The woman who rang me up with long dark hair was so friendly and up-​beat. I will consider coming back for any occasion!
