Horrible customer service! Ordered 2 large dinners and asked that one not mix the veggies with the meat as my daughter doesn’t eat either the broccoli, zucchini or mushrooms, just put it on the side. Owner chick says no either order no veggies or order a separate side of veggies. Huh? What? I can have it without the veggies I’m paying for or mixed? No other option? Makes no sense! She was short and rude and just very nonchalantly walks off. If I’m paying for it I should be able to get it how I prefer since it isn’t inconveniencing you at all. I guess a simple act on the customers part is too much to ask. She just ruined dinner for a minute with her attitude but I’ll pick the veggies out for my little girl since it was too much not mix it for these losers.

Been there couple times. Hibachi meals is huge. Very generous. Good flavor too, never greasy like what you can get at the mall. Ordered their sushi meal twice. I was actually pretty impressed. Food quality is consistent. I’m Taiwanese so I don’t really like American rolls. I ordered simple fish rolls: salmon roll, tuna roll and yellowtail scallion roll. Both time with fresh and generous piece of fish in my rolls. Pretty good quality too. Didn’t get any chewy pieces of fish like some cheap sushi place would give you. As a quick grab and go place. I love it! I go there when ever I have sushi cravings. The staffs are always really friendly and welcoming!

Always good service, always good food. Fast and clean. Only give 4 stars because they seem to have cut back on the meat in the regular portions, still good food.

This is a new place in Suffolk and a welcomed addition. Have been three times now and each time has been consistently high quality food. It might take a few minutes but it’s fresh and definitely hasn’t been sitting around. Started out ordering the regular rolls and teriyaki and then, knowing the quality was there worked up to the chef special rolls and tried hibachi. Servings of the teriyaki and hibachi are so plentiful my hubby and I split one and had for lunch. The Sakura special and the volcano roll were awesome and honestly their prices are great for what you get! As another reviewer noted they do cut their fish into too small chunks for their regular rolls which is odd but is not a deal breaker for me. We will be regulars!

Food was amazing and the price is even better I’ve been abt three times since they’ve been open and been very satisfied. Only thing I wouldn’t order again is the sushi wasn’t all that but not bad. The yum yum sauce was great

Okay. If you’re in a hurry, here’s the skinny on Sakura Express(SE): thumbs up on their Sakura Special(SS), but skip the sushi. If you have time, here’s my slightly longer review… We are regulars at Little Caesars next door, and when I spotted a new sushi restaurant opening up, my oldest was excited. We decided to check it out yesterday. The interior is nice and clean, with several tables. You order at the counter, pay, and then wait until they call you. SE is fast food, but it definitely took a bit longer than most – maybe 15 to 20 minutes. The service was friendly, and it was fun to watch the cooks prepare the food. California Roll– These were mediocre with way too much cucumber, overpowering everything else in the roll. 3* Spicy Shrimp Roll– My oldest ordered these and he said the filling was mushy and indescribable with an odd flavor – not very spicy, either. 2* Miso Soup– Does anyone else think that miso soup tastes like ham? Maybe it’s just me. SE’s miso was decent, although my oldest felt it needed some salt. 3.5* Sakura Special Teriyaki Style with Chicken– This is the best thing on their menu. The SS comes with protein(chicken, steak, tilapia, shrimp, scallops, salmon, and combinations), fried rice, carrots and your choice of Hibachi Style(mushrooms and zucchini) or Teriyaki Style(broccoli and zucchini). It comes in regular or large and the regular is a nice, large portion. Everything tasted fresh, especially the vegetables! 4* We all agreed that we will return for the Special, but skip the sushi. The SS are a great value, tasty, and fairly healthy – a nice change from fast food.

for express Japanese food, I found this place to be really great! fried rice and yum yum sauce on point! the steak was ok… it was cooked perfectly but it was a really soft cut of meat. not sure if it was marinated a while so it was super tender but overall not bad. veggies and carrots were delicious. the place was clean inside and the employees have great service.

This place is brand new, so I hope there is room for improvement. The staff is nice enough, but they don’t go above and beyond. The chicken and steak hibachi was a HUGE portion! The steak was very chewy and not so edible, the chicken and rice was ok, and the veggies were really good. The part that will make me possibly not return is that the sushi is cooked! We ordered the Super Salmon and the Awesome Tuna rolls. There was nothing super or awesome about it. The salmon and tuna that were on top of the rolls was cooked, and it made everything inside warm too. It was just warm mush which stinks, because the quality of the fish seemed pretty good. There was nothing that said seared or cooked on the menu either, so we were incredibly disappointed.
