The last time it took nearly an hour for the pizza to arrive, but we thought we give them one more chance. This time it arrived on time, but all of the special requests were ignored. Fool me once… Never again.

We order pizza waaay too much and always order from here. Ingredient taste a lot fresher and they’re normally pretty speedy too. For pizza delivery, they’re probably the best in the area.

The only reason this is getting two stars is because pizza was awesome. After an hour and 10 minutes of waiting I called to see where our pizza was and 4 minute phone call they decided they were going to fix it again and we would have it in 20 well 30 minutes later we got it. And we were 5 miles from them. Actually I did call and order. I did not order online.

First of all — the people who trashed this place on Unilocal are either naïve, ignorant or both. They ordered online and took a computer’s time estimate too seriously instead of placing a simple phone call and getting the actual situation from a live person. In case you noticed people only review places like this when they have a negative experience so the representation not accurate. Moving on … I ordered carry out. It was just a large extra cheese pizza, but it was definitely ready to be picked up in the 15 minutes estimated. The staff was courteous as always despite it being their busy Monday carry out special. A second complimentary garlic sauce was furnished upon request. The dough was made evenly throughout, no hills. Perfect 1 inch crust and no bubbles suggesting proper pizza docker usage. Cheesed to the edge and baked to the correct color. Papa is my favorite of all the pizza chains by far, but that fact has no bearing on this review.

I placed an order online before 11 am and it said it would be ready around 12:10 — 12:20. At 12:30 I started calling trying to figure out where our order was and let it ring and ring until it was hung up on multiple times. So I went to their location at 1 after not getting any answers and asked for the Manager who was the gentleman that was standing around not doing anything even though the phones were ringing. When we asked about our order, without even looking our order up told us «when you placed your order it would have told you 2 hours» I showed him the e-mail where it told us 70 – 80 minutes. He was very unprofessional leaning on the counter and giving an attitude. When I asked where the order was he pointed and stated it’s somewhere back there. So I told him to just cancel the order and that I would never order through this location again. Seriously…NEVER go there!!!

Save yourself some grief and don’t order from here. If you really want Papa John’s pizza at least order from one of the other locations. We placed our order at 5:30PM on Friday 3⁄1 and had it set to be delivered at 6:45PM for a party. 7:15 rolled around and someone mentioned that the pizzas haven’t arrived yet. I called them and at first they said that the status is marked as «delivered». I told them we have not received any pizzas yet then the girl on the phone immediately changed her answer to «Oh, uhm, they are on their way. Bye.» I thought I’d give them benefit of the doubt and figured it was a busy Friday night. 7:30 rolled around, two full hours since I placed the order and 45 minutes after they were supposed to be here, I decided to call and just cancel as someone else offered to pick up other food. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes, called back and placed on hold again until eventually they answered. I told them the situation and they looked up my order and I told them I just wanted to cancel it and be provided a refund. The girl got the manager on the phone, who was very nasty. He actually shouted at me as if I’m the one causing trouble. When I explained that the pizza were ordered to be delivered at 6:45PM yet they were still not here almost an hour later, the manager had the guts to tell me that«they can’t guarantee the delivery time». If it was 5 – 10 minutes we’re talking about, fine, but almost an hour? I demanded for my money back and he said«Fine.» Finally we could move on, I thought. Nope, 15 minutes later(after my friend brought other food back to the party), a Papa John’s delivery person showed up. We told the delivery person that we have already cancelled and she looked just clueless and said«I just came from there and they told me to just delivery it.» I figured it wasn’t the delivery person’s fault so we just accepted the pizzas. This is just horrible customer service. Forgetting being late, at least apologize and not try to shove your crappy pizza after shouting at your customers.

Papa John’s has finally made it to my top pizza chain list. Compared to Domino’s and Pizza Hut, they have better ingredients, less grease, and I can get anchovies on my pizza!!! I also enjoy the baby portabello mushrooms instead of the usual white mushrooms you get at other chains. This location locks its doors after nine if you make a pick-up order, which confused me because I thought it was closed. Turns out it is just for security purposes. The guy at the register told me to come on in, and he opened the door for me after I called them back expressing my confusion from the parking lot. They gave me plenty of parmesan cheese and chili peppers without me asking, probably because I left a tip even though it was pick-up. The pizza was cooked just right and delicious for a chain restaurant. Overall, great experience.
