I was skeptical at first about eating sushi from a conveyor belt. But it was very convenient and pretty tasty. Big sashimi pieces that covered their rice portions. The presentation of each plate looked pretty good as well. I wanted to try everything but unfortunately my stomach didn’t have room. I could only try about 10 plates. Lol. Didn’t even have room for dessert. Well, at least we know when we come back not to stuff our faces with everything that looks good. Definitely coming back for more. Thanks sushi choo choo.

The food is mostly good like the amaebi shrimp but that agadashi tofu is not silky at all is made from medium tofu I think from the texture

It was my first time coming here. It’s a pretty decent place. We went around 4 pm so I don’t know if they’re busier at certain times of the day. Our server explained how everything worked so we pretty much started getting sushi from the conveyor belt. Each dish is color coded to a specific price. The first one we tried was the baby octopus… I think that’s what it was called. It was good! All the sushi we ate were really good. My least favorite one was the caterpillar roll or at least it looked like a caterpillar roll. I don’t know if it’s just me but every restaurant I go to I try to order Iced Tea and most of the time they only have unsweetened. It was nice to see that they have sweet and unsweetened tea since when I add the sugar myself, the sugar just settles at the bottom and it’s really hard to mix it in with the iced water. Overall! This place is okay. The customer service was above average and the food(besides the sushi) is better than most since they’re more flavor full.

Service is friendly. However, wait staff need be a little more attentive at times. Sushi served on a conveyor belt – it’s different. Come for the experience. Food is good, not the best sushi, but pretty good. Prices are decent.

Haven’t had conveyer belt sushi in forever, so had to come when it wasn’t far from my house. This isn’t rocket science, you see the sushi roll by, and if you want it, you take it! The plates are colored and on the wall they display how much each sushi costs per the plate color you get. Price wise, it’s pretty good if you don’t keep hitting up the purple plates. Taste? The sushi was good and satisfied my cravings! Also had the mochi ice cream which was also delicious! Would definitely come back again in the future.

Service was mediocre. The waitress wasn’t rude or anything but we had to keep reminding her what we needed/wanted. She wouldn’t let us order some items on the menu because it was on the conveyor belt. We had to explain to her that some of the items were all gone on the conveyor belt by the time it got to us because we were seated at the end of it. Food was also mediocre. Their sushi was comparable to Kroger’s or HEB’s.

Uniquely fun way to have sushi with friends and family. Not ideal for large parties due to bar style seating but fun to watch sushi go by and pick as you are ready. All of it was cold and super fresh, refrigerated conveyor belt. Other items we ordered were great, as well.

It was really cool to eat sushi on a conveyor belt style. Baby squids(4⁄5) Sushi rolls(3.5÷5) Spicy chopped scallops(2⁄5) Yellowtail nigiri(2⁄5) Spicy crab soup(2.5÷5) The sushi rolls were good but the raw items were not so great. I would come back here because it’s a nice neighborhood sushi place.

Decent sushi at normal prices. I think the sign at the front that said cheap prices primed me to expect it to be cheaper than it was. I’m not saying it is expensive, I just think that when you do the calculations it ends up costing the same for a roll as you would expect at a fairly priced sushi place. You can probably get out of here spending a little or spending a lot. For example, my family of 3 ended up spending about $ 60 not including tip. My dad is a glutton though so take that as you will. I enjoyed the variety of sushi, but I wish that they came in plates of two instead of four. I would sometimes try one and then think what am I going to do with the other three pieces. They do have a good variety of rolls that would normally be called a specialty roll. I thought the sushi was just ok. It was probably on the low side of average to me. I do enjoy the conveyor belt concept. Since we were just grabbing sushi off the conveyor belt, I didn’t really have a chance to document what I liked and what I didn’t. There was one with cream cheese that I didn’t like. The salmon sushi gives a generous portion of salmon. I enjoyed everything I tried with spicy salmon. It is fun reading the names of the sushi and trying to figure out why they called it that. It is nice how they have the names of the sushi before the plates. I’m not used to seeing that, but it helped figure out what everything is. Overall this was an average experience. There are so many other places in Sugar Land though that I think I’d go elsewhere for sushi if I had to choose. However, for convenience, this is not a bad place to go by any means. Just not a favorite.

Nice interior with decent sushi, attentive service, fair price, and a fun factor of moving foods on a conveyor belt. I like the fact that you can try so many types of rolls without breaking the bank and visually inspecting the foods before taking it. A typical plate consist of two to four pieces costing from $ 1.75 to $ 4.25. You can also order from a menu. There are better tasting sushi places in the hood, but the cost is much higher and not as fun. If you are in the mood for sushi at a budget price, this place is worth a try.

Who doesn’t love fast food sushi? I have always liked this concept and been to a few other places like this in the country. I was excited to see Sugar Land finally had one. It was very clean inside and not very busy when we came on a Sunday night. Our waitress did an OK job of getting us water and checking in, but it was hard to understand her and I think she had a hard time understanding us, since she got our wine order wrong. My wine friend knew right away after taking her sip that the wrong wine had been poured — I didn’t care really, but they brought me a new glass as well. As far as the sushi — it was pretty good. Was it mind blowing, no, but it was certainly good enough that I will be back and bring some friends! I just love the concept of seeing the food go by and grabbing what looks good to you. Or if you’re are money conscience, you can stick with the yellow plates ;) I wasn’t able to ask if they have a happy hour, but I will next time I’m back. And I will be back!

My Wife and her friend went there last week. Food was decent. The service was worst they have ever experienced in their life. When they ask for bowl instead of plate, the waitress said«you already got plate, why do you need bowl». She mess up the two of the order. The first one, we just accepted it. The second one, her friend talked to the waitress about the mistake. The waitress basically told her that since her husband is the one that order the food, she don’t want to talk to our friend about it. She said that you don’t know what you order because your husband is the one that order. Her friend husband and her tried to tell the waitress that it was wrong. The waitress still insist that she was right and I guess we just didn’t know what we want. Definitely will never go there ever again. Food was not even that great and certainly don’t need to put up with attitude.

What can I say for a restaurant I went three times in one week? Basically, it’s a sushi restaurant with the neat concept of having different types of sushi pass by on a conveyor belt. Once you see a dish you like, you open the glass and pick up the sushi plate. How do you pay? Well, the color of the plates are set to a price(i.e, yellow color plates cost $ 1.75). So if you take 3 yellow color plates off the dish, thats like 3 x $ 1.75. Pretty simple and easy as long as you don’t go too overboard with selecting too much variety of plates. If you want, you can order off the menu. They serve other types of dishes as well — like noodles, rice, etc. I liked their menu, and I commend it as it has pictures of the different types of sushi, and it’s easy to read. My first visit was on Black Friday, and I was alone, looking for a quick bite after half a day of shopping around 1 or 2pm. It’s a good restaurant to visit if you are alone because they have many individual seats in front of the sushi conveyor belt. I really enjoyed looking at the different types of sushi available, and it was just amazing see all the dishes pass by that first visit. I was also conscious of the prices so I was careful to not select much and tried to select a variety of different color plates. However, I was not too pleased with taste of the sushi and only thought it was ok. My second visit was two days later with a friend since she would like to visit this restaurant after I told her about it. My friend really enjoyed the experience of looking at the different types of sushi available. I felt like I was an expert already so the new experience of the conveyor belt wasn’t as exciting, but this time I was in the mood to try different sushi. We shared the sushi and got to taste the different types. This time, I did like a few of the sushi dish, so there was hope! My third visit was two days later with my mom since I wanted to show her too. The same waitress there totally remember me and came out with the sriracha sauce before I even asked this time! LOL This time, the conveyor belt is totally not exciting anymore, and I was determined to try even more different types of sushi. I think I was most satisfied with the sushi on this visit since we selected most of the most expensive color plates(orange color at $ 4.25) this time, and it has four pieces so we got to share and both try all the ones we selected. Atmosphere is good as the conveyor belt idea is different, and it’s interesting to see the different types of sushi pass by. The restaurant also try to match interior decorations with the restaurant name/brand. You will see a few cute little Japanese figures in between train models, as well as signs. Overall, interior of restaurant is nice and clean. Food is ok, and I would rate it 3 stars but the overall concept with the conveyor belt and enjoying time there looking at different sushi gave it an extra star. The art appeal is there with the sushi dishes. Menu is also a plus. The waitresses there are nice, but it’s usually only two waitresses, so I always have to try very hard to get their attention when I’m there. Some Tips: 1)Happy Hour is 20% off only on items off the conveyor belt, and it is Monday — Friday 2:30 — 5:00PM and Reverse Happy Hour is Sunday — Thursday 9:00PM-Close. Happy Hour EXCLUDES holidays so don’t come on Holidays. I sure didn’t get any discount when I went on Black Friday. 2)If you are going with friends/other people, select plates with four pieces so that you can share and taste! 3) In my opinion, try at least one orange plate(most expensive at $ 4) which usually has four pieces when you are there. I find the cheaper sushi just ok, but the orange plates have some pretty good sushi. It’s not awesome out of this world sushi, but I would say better tasting than average.

This is a great place to relax, hang out and eat some sushi. It’s a conveyor belt thing, which is cool. Everyone I bring here spends most of their time being entertained by the food riding by and reading the signs. The quality and price are both decent. This is actually my favorite spot for sushi in Sugar Land these days.

Fresh sushi and happy hour is the best price in the area! You can easily satisfy a single person for about $ 15 or less, almost impossible when ordering mostly ala carte nigiri at most places. Absolute fantastic value and service priced right for high quality fish prepared wonderfully. Actually far superior to the other Sushi Choo Choo locations around Houston with fresher food and better flavor. Restaurant is clean, well maintained and stylishly designed. A real hidden gem!

Me and my boyfriend dine or get take out here occasionally because it’s fast, cheap and super convenient. Some stuff is hit or miss, and the green tea ice cream definitely is on my miss list. It just tastes like weird soap with a weird aftertaste in my opinion. Oh, and one more thing. If you come for happy hour make sure that you come at 2:30 or later, because even if you come at 2:20 and stay and order multiple things till 3, it won’t be valid for the happy hour since you didn’t come in at 2:30. Which is a little ridiculous considering we ordered/got most of our food after 2:30. But eh.

The first thing you see when you walk in is a sign promising«Great food! Bargain prices!» I’m not sure that’s what I want a sushi bar to tell me. It’s a cute concept, but one that the staff did not explain to us at all. When you see something you like, lift up the little door and take it. They tally up your bill by counting the different colored plates. Some items are special order; if you want one you take the placard off the line. I think. Again, nobody bothers to tell you how it all works. Our server didn’t say much at all. The sushi and rolls are not great quality. It just didn’t taste that good and the rice was mush. With a good selection of sushi places in the area ranging from fancy to neighborhood hole in the wall, the food here isn’t good enough for me to want to return, even if in the end it did turn out to be fairly cheap.

I love the concept of conveyor belt sushi, you get to see all the food in front of you, they are freshly made and you take what catches your eye! My husband and I have both had them in China and Japan, but it’s our first time trying it in the U.S. We tried conveyor belt sushi dishes as well as ordered some on the menu. Sushi on belt — lots of fresh and yummy choices, nothing amazing, but all decent sushi. The prices depend on the colors of the plates, there are color plate codes around the restaurant. Sweet shrimp — what my husband highly recommends! He had this for the first time in Japan a few years ago and loved it. This is a pricy dish but according to him so worth it, especially since it’s rare to find it here. The heads of the shrimps are fried, while the bodies are raw, with a naturally sweet taste to it. Salad, miso soup and edamame — the salad was covered in WAY too much salad dressing, I wasn’t too fond of that. Miso soup is miso soup, nothing special, same with edamame. But they are all really cheap, $ 1.75 per dish. Tempura ice cream — ok, nothing too special Service — really good! Our waitress was super sweet, got everything we wanted and was very attentive. Most of them speak Mandarin and English(at least). I would actually give the food 3 stars, but my husband loved his sweet shrimps and we had a good experience there with friendly service and the fun belt for kids to watch and us to enjoy too. It’s kids friendly, fast because you can just take the food out of the«train».

Food. We haven’t really ordered much off the menu, just stuff on the conveyor belt. My other half loves the volcano roll especially with all the crawfish on top. Hopefully they don’t start skimping on it though. We also get the rainbow roll, the one with eel, salmon sashimi, etc. it’s all fresh and pretty big rolls. They do have a little too much rice sometimes. Also ordered the spicy scallops rolls. A little too spicy for me but nice warm rice to ease the spice. We did order the green tea ice cream. It’s a good refresher after sushi but not enough green tea flavor and very creamy. Service. Quickly seated. Waitstaff is a hit or miss. They definitely haven’t seemed to wait tables before. One guy was overly chatty for me. Another waitress brought our ice cream before the roll that we ordered. Really? I’ve been here 3 times and although the staff isn’t terrible; I can tell they are inexperienced. Overall. Love coming here when I’m hangry or in a rush and need sushi Now! The food is good and I love having a large selection and not having to order only 1 – 2 rolls per person. 4 pieces on each plate. Prices range from like $ 2 – 4 a plate, depending on the color of the plate. It can be like dim sum and add up quickly though, so don’t grab everything you see! Great for small parties of 2 or 4, but it doesn’t make sense for anything larger because then it’s hard to get the sushi off the conveyer belt.

I really really enjoyed this place. You’re seated next to the conveyer belt. The waitress immediately brought us wasabi and took any additional orders that we had. Unlike most conveyer belt sushi restaurants I’ve been to, they have a cover for their conveyer belt AND each plate of sushi. Each plate has a different color and that indicates the price. Just go ahead, sit down, and grab your sushi! My personal favorites were the salmon nigiri, squid nigiri, and actually just most types of nigiri. The seaweed salad was a little bit too soggy for my liking. Their roll portions are about 4 – 5 pieces, and there’s a variety of rolls. Be sure to ask to keep a menu, so you can order baked or fried rolls or any other food item listed. The quality of fish was pretty good, in my opinion. Would definitely come back!
