Red Shirt Movers

I was very happy with Red Shirt Movers. They confirmed the move the day before; they phoned while on the way; they showed up on time. Kevin took great care with my belongings. He and his partner were extremely professional and courteous throughout the move. I would definitely use them again.

This is an incredibly unscrupulous company. I purchased a LivingSocial voucher for a move with this company, and I scheduled a move two weeks in advance. Kevin from Red Shirt Movers confirmed my move date and time, and called me and said that he would send me a full quote the next day. And then I didn’t hear from him for two weeks. I called and emailed countless times trying to figure out if I could still count on him to be my mover. Finally, as my move date is tomorrow, and I still have not heard from him, I had to book new movers, at a much higher cost.
Thankfully I figured out that he was completely unreliable before the day of my move, but what if I had waited for him to come and he never did? Then my moving costs to get day-​of movers would have been astronomical. The only reason I can think of him doing this is that he booked me initially because he didn’t have another job that afternoon, but as soon as another job came along where he could make more money (probably a full paying one that did not use a LivingSocial coupon, my move was also only going to take 2 hours instead of a longer more expensive move), he decided not to do my move in favor of making more money with another move. And decided to cancel on me without ever contacting me and probably just hoped I would give up after not being able to get in touch with him. Only book a move with him at your own risk — the minute a more lucrative move comes along for him at the same time as yours, he will probably leave you hanging!
