Best teriyaki chicken ever HANDSDOWN! and at under $ 7 with all rice instead of a side salad there’s no better value or quantity of food for that price. The owner, Jungle is also very awesome and down to earth. Wide variety of things in the store, great food, great people; 5 stars.

This is a very quaint corner store with a large variety of convenient store fare. They also have very tasty Teriyaki and Chinese dishes that are plenty for 2 people(they give you alot!). A plate of Teriyaki(chicken, pork, beef, prawn, pot stickers, chicken katsu, or beef short ribs) includes rice(steamed white or fried) and a salad; prices range from $ 6.25 to $ 9.99 with combo plates priced at $ 7.50 to $ 7.99. Chinese dishes include favorites: Mongolian Beef or Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Almond Chicken, Orange Chicken, just to name a few. Those prices range from $ 7.25 to $ 7.50 with combo plates priced at $ 8.99. Yakisoba($ 6.99 or $ 7.50) is also available with steamed rice. There’s also fried rice plates($ 6.50 to $ 7.50). If you’re looking for something different for a side order, try the Kimch($ 2.10); it’s REALLY good! Also available as a side order is Egg Rolls(2 for $ 3.49), Gyoza(8 piece pot stickers for $ 3.49), stir fried vegetables($ 2.99/$ 5.30), extra meat($ 2.99 to $ 3.75) extra salad($ 1.50) and of course their teriyaki sauce(12oz cup for $ 3.50). You can call in your order for pick up or dine in at one of their tables. The proprietor and his staff are very friendly people to talk to. I highly recommend stopping in. The business hours for«Startup Teriyaki & Wok» are Mon-Sat 11am to 8pm. Their other call-in phone number is:(360) 799‑0595.

A unique find, this Grocery/Teriyaki Joint/Fishing Bait purveyor has everything you could ever need. My fishing buddy and I would joke that whatever we could think of this place would have it. Need a socket wrench set with your energy drink? You’ll find it here. How about a pair of dice along with car mats? No problem. What truly sets this place apart from other stores is the quality of their service and their food. First the service. Not having been able to procure bait, we saw a little light on at the Startup Grocery & Deli. It was 6:00a.m. a few hours before the stores normal opening. With fingers crossed we approached the door and saw one of the proprietors in the store getting ready to head out on his own fishing adventure. We knocked and he let us in and kindly sold us a days worth of bait. This says a lot about the customer service of this store and the camaraderie of fishermen in general. As for the food, it’s delicious, fresh and economical. For the price of a burger meal at a fast food joint you get made to order teriyaki with rice and a salad that is enough to feed two people. My favorite is the chicken katsu which is always fresh and not re-fried like many places. The taste and quality rivals the chicken katsu I’ve had at high end Japanese restaurants. If you ever pass this little corner store, go in and take a look at their eclectic selection of everything. Also try their selection of chinese/teriyaki. You will leave with a smile on your face.
