History

Established in 1981.

Papa Murphy’s was started in 1981 and has grown to a franchise of over 1400 stores nationwide. Peter and Lindsey Wynia opened their first store here in Murrieta on Murrieta Hot Springs and Winchester Road in the Fall of 2010. Since then, they have committed to growing their business here in the Inland Empire and want to share the taste and convenience of Take and Bake pizza. They have just opened their third store in Sun City/​Menifee, and hope to open a few more within the Inland Empire which they now call home.

Peter and Lindsey moved to the Temecula Valley in July of 2011 to start their dream of owning a Papa Murphy’s pizza. Papa Murphy’s pizza has been around since 1981, but has never been in Southern California! As a Western Washington native, Peter has been visiting Papa Murphy’s locations for the past 33 years. He loved the product so much, that he decided he wanted his own. Peter has been in the hotel service industry for 15 years and decided that he was ready to be his own owner/​operator. Peter and Lindsey chose this area because of the great community and wonderful place to raise children. We hope that you will support us in our endeavor to grow in this community. Peter and Lindsey have 5 children and are heavily involved in the community and giving back to schools and associations in the area.

I came to this location a couple months ago and saw that the poor kids working here had to call the police and ambulance on a man who was clearly under the influence of drugs and was disturbing them and the customers. I was told this wasn’t the first time it’s happened. Great pizza, wonderful staff, clean store but area of the location is run-​down, old, and questionable. I highly advise the owner move this store to a busier and newer shopping center so that paying customers and employees aren’t berated by sketchy people. Despite that, every time I come in the pizza is incredible and the employees are awesome.

Well… used to be awesome… with awesome staff… just walked in… some kid stands looking at me… doesn’t say a word… I say I forgot my coupons… he said «well don’t have any coupons here»!.Assistant manager came out right after him… said nothing and scowl on her face… obviously. DIDN’T HAVE
FOR US… WALKED OUT… doubt I will go there again… too bad. was a regular… too much competition for that behavior!

I love the pizza here! I have been going here for over a year now and have never had any problems and pizza was always good. Unfortunately last night I was very disappointed with the staff I know the store closes at 8 in a last minute rush to get dinner I had called the store over 14 times at 7:30 no answer I was still driving there anyway made it there by 7:40 I live just down the street the minute I pulled in the young lady looks at the male employee says something then scurries to the door in a hurry to lock it before I got to it. I found this to be extremely rude and very unprofessional. If your store closes at 8 I believe the doors and phone should be shut down at 8 not 7:30 or 7:40. Love the pizza not sure if I’ll be back with the crappy way I was treated last night!!!

I love going to this location! For me it is a little easier to get to than the Murrieta location on MHS. The employees are always so nice. From the time they answer the phone (call in order) to the time I pick it up they are always so helpful and positive. It is especially important to me that they pay attention when I order my pizza as I have Celiac Disease. They go above and beyond to make sure my pizza is really GF. I appreciate that so much! To the owners… Thank you for foster such great employees and instilling them with good Customer Service values.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this PaPa Murphys. I had never had this pizza before this location went in. I was very surprised at how delicious everything is. I have bought pizza here at least 15 times since it opened and never ever have had a bad experience.
What makes this location so special are the employees. I feel they have gone above and beyond in terms of customer service many times. The thing i love most is how well they treat my disabled senior father (who is beyond talkative, lol)… he always chirps about how great the employees are and how well the pizza was made.
Often times when we get pizza from other places we end up feeling shorted on toppings and cheese. At papa murphys we never feel that way!
For the price the pizza is really good, i feel like for quick cheap pizza you cannot go wrong with Papa Murphys.

Love this place. Was recommended by a friend and since we don’t eat pizza that much it took a while to try. But it was fantastic. I ordered a regular crust and a pan crust. The instructions were very easy to follow. The regular crust was cooked perfectly and all the toppings were just enough. The pan pizza was good too but I burned the bottom so it really didn’t get eaten. But every thing about the burn tasted good. Will definitely eat here again. It was super clean and the staff was very helpful and the salads were fresh.

I love the fact we can order a fresh pizza and cook it whenever we want, and have it taste as good as it does! We’ve even had one here for our house sitter to make while we were gone :) We usually get the kids the Mini Murphs, which they love making themselves. Hubby and I share a Veggie Gourmet Delite. The best pizza there! Veggies are always fresh and clean. Coupons over text are an added bonus :)

Massive yummy stuffed pizza that is baked at home… comes out all hot and bubbly. The 14 inch made to order with our choice of Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, spinach, garlic, seasoned sauce and cheese was just $ 15 minus a $ 2 coupon for $ 13 total. Give them a try… Menifee. :)

LOVE Papa Murphy’s pizza! Hands down the best pizza around. And you can’t beat the price! If you join their text club, you will receive really great coupons and offers. I have never paid full price for our order. We usually use the Murrieta location (five+ stars!) but this one has the same great customer service and pizza.
Try ordering FAMILY SIZE and they’ll make it half cheese for the kids/​half anything else you like! That in itself is worth the price:)
Gave this location 4 stars. The location is run down, questionable parking lot after dark lol. But still great pizza.

Stopped in to finally try this take n’ bake. I was a little hesitant at first because the coupons we got in the mail had prices ranging from $ 9 – 11, so I knew the regular prices would be a few dollars more. I thought it was a tad high for for pizza I have to take and bake myself but still decided to give it a shot since we needed a change. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing. The store was bright and clean. We were greeted by the 2 girls working right away. There were no other customers, so after a few minutes of looking at the menu we placed our order. The girl told us it would be 5 – 10 minutes, but it was ready in less than 5. We baked it as soon as we got home. We ordered pan, so the crust was nice and thick, buttery, light, and airy. It almost had a homemade taste which was nice. They were not shy with the cheese or toppings at all which really makes it a pretty good value (we paid $ 10 for a large 2 topping pan) since the ingredients seemed to be quality. Over all it was very delicious so we decided to try the stuffed pizza next. We have had the gourmet vegetarian and another with meat, both were amazing! Super filling, 1 piece is a meal. Love this place and I recommend it!

After being graciously contacted by Lindsay the store owner about our last experience we gave the place another chance, at our expense, even though we were sent a fee freebies… And what do you know… Whitney was working again. This time she was lovely and friendly. In fact everyone was!!! The pizza is awesome and the service was great! Thank you so much Lindsey for taking such good care of us. It’s people and business owners like you that strive to «make things right» and run a wonderful and strong establishment. I know Papa Murphy’s will be here in Menifee for a long time.

Love this place. It’s fresh, and super easy to make. Just preheat the oven and pop it in for a few minutes! You can even have two completely different pizzas put on one! (½ & ½) They have something for everyone here, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I only wish they had more seating while waiting for you pizza.

I tried the family size 5 meat stuffed pizza and it was the BOMB. I usually don’t like meaty pizza because they tend to be too salty but this one was on point. I wasn’t expecting much crispness from a pizza baked on a paper tray but it was just right. The dought was airy, fresh, and crisp. I only wish I had a clay oven or a green egg to bake it in; to get some of the burnt edges around the crust.
The price is a bit high for a pizza you have to take home and bake but given its freshness and flavor its still a good deal. The five meat stuffed pizza however, is a great deal. I’ve seen it for alot more at NY Giant.

I didn’t notice it was take and bake till after I bought it which was a pain as I still needed to clean out the oven cleaner chemicals left in my oven when I got home so after half an hour of cleaning I was able to bake it. Turned out to be surprisingly good, with a crispy thin crust which is rare anywhere. If you leave it on the tray though, it loses its crisp after a while, I suggest you move it to a wooden cutting board. I am not sure what the tray is made of, whether there is any plastic or just wax paper so I am still a bit cautious about that and would move it to a baking tray if I had had one available. It’s not that cheap, especially if you order your own topping selection but overall it’s worth it for a fresh, quick lunch or dinner, try and get a coupon somewhere.
