Rude. Talks too much. Windshield wipers needed to be replaced and oil over filled. Lot and office extremely messy and disorganized. Quoted price and final price showed no discount. Would not rent from them again.

This is the $hitties place especially the manager bald headed guy with the soft voice… he jumps in your mouth when u try to talk… he is disrespectful… unprofessional. he tries to smart talk… lots of hidden charges like infant carseats… rent out reallly old cars n dirt and disgusting… believe it or not i was given a 1997 12passenger van all rusted n smelly. dust was all ober it… van had no spare tire… and it stalled while driving on the road… took two hours for them to even got me the van… when i went to return his office was closed at 6:30 when it was supposed to be at 7… do not rent from this old dirty fool

This is the worst place I have ever come across. Basically, without a doubt this place is a SCAM, CROOKS, THIEFS, ABSURD CLAIMS to STEEL YOUR MONEY.

I found a car rental offer online that ‘seemed’ promising, «unlimited mileage» (in reality they mean= We will over charge you after 200 miles) and a ‘clean’ nice vehicle (translation= cheap, DIRTY car). Once arriving back from my trip I returned the vehicle to the ill-​mannered owner, that is when the absurdness began. This man began to freely charge me for things such as «a dirty car» (IT WAS FILTHY WHEN I RECEIVED IT! I had to go out of my way to clean it before having my passengers board), the 200 and over millage fee (SCAM), To top off this horrid experience, the man was the most unpleasing individual i have ever met. I tried to get an explanation out of him but when i insisted he shoved my paperwork towards me, turned his back and walked away.
THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU… EVERYONE WHO READS THIS, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND EVERYONE ELSE, REPORT THIS SCAM ARTIST!!!

If you can believe it, EZ Rent A Car was originally listed as a car rental agency on the Southwest Airlines website. What a joke! We had a car reservation for Aug. 23, 2012 for 5 days. Approximately ONE MONTH before our departure to Burbank from PHX, I decided to double check my reservation. Well, EZ Rent A Car no longer had an operation in Burbank. Huh, no one told me, and I expect that I would have been SOL if I had shown up without doing further investigation. So, I contacted them at their main office in I think Florida, plus I contacted SWA. Eventually, they told me that «Economy Rent A Car» had assumed my reservation. Well, as you tell by all the previous review, they are all the same company. I actually took a picture of their «place,» which was totally scary, and there were at least 4 company names listed as operating out of this location. But to make things worse, when we were driven over to the facility by some lackey from the Bob Hope Burbank Airport, the rental counter guy gave us a 2003 FORD Focus! Excuse me, don’t we rent cars because they’re supposed to be a newer model vehicle? It was filthy, it ran loud, and I still can’t believe we actually drove the car off their lot. Never again. Please beware, NEVER rent a car from this place. They are as shady as they come. And all their rental car agreement documents DO NOT list a company name on them. REALLY? How is that possible? My husband can’t stand making waves, so we took the car against my better judgement, but I swear, I will listen to my intuition next time. When something doesn’t sound right, it isn’t! BEWARE!

TERRIBLE!!! Waited 45 minutes at the airport for «the silver van» which I think was actually one of their rentals. The driver was like 105 years old and the business itself was a complete hole in the wall. The service was BAD, the cars were dirty and dented. A couple came in while we were waiting in line who had just rented a car a half hour before, and they said their car had a check engine and airbag light already come on. Realizing that renting from them was probably a bad decision, two couples and us caught a cab back to the airport since they would give us a rise back «when they had a chance». We ended up renting from enterprise. Shady business! Too bad I didn’t have the option to leave the star rating blank…

1) No unlimited miles as advertised even if you reserve through Orbitz. It is 200 miles per day.
2) There is $ 48 of «other» fees that will be added to your bill no matter what.
3) Insurance through the rental place is not offered.
Example: A trip to Vegas or San Jose using their cheapest car for 3 to 4 days can easily cost you $ 250 due to their hidden fees and limited milage per day.

SCAM!!! You get what you paid for. I was trying to save money and booked on line. First, no shuttle service (i did not know) you have to call them to pick you up and they show up 1 hr late!!! Then they take you to this place that does not even look like a bussiness. I walked out of that place without a car because they did not have what i had previously reserved. They wanted to give me a soccer mom van! They totally ruined my day… Stay away from that place. Trust me!

On Monday March 21^st I rented a car from a small location at 7975 San Fernando road. Sun Valley, ca, 91 352. Their phone number is (818) 767‑8816.
The rate was $ 36/​day and I had a 200 mile a day deal. I rented the car for 3 days.
I was scheduled to go to San Francisco from Monday ³⁄₂₁ through Tuesday 3/​22, it was a short trip so I had a tight schedule to complete all my tasks on very little time. On the Morning of Tuesday March 22 I was on my way to my first scheduled stop and on the way the car started to make a very loud and frightening grinding sound. I started to become alarmed but was trying to remain calm as the sound kept coming and going, after 10 minutes of this my concerns became greater and greater as the car continued to make the sound and it increasingly got worse very quickly. I stopped and immediately called EZ rental hoping for assistance as my whole trip would be a waste if I did not resolve the problem in a timely manner. I was told by the man on the phone that the noise was pre-​existing and to continue driving the car. I got back in the car hoping that what he had said was true and I could continue my trip uninterrupted but as I started driving the car again the noise had become severely worse and consistent with no break and the car began to jerk to the right, we had planned many things for that day and there was a 4 month old baby in the car and at that point I knew that it was unsafe to continue driving under those conditions. I had no choice but to turn around and drive all the way back to our hotel to plan other arrangements. I was told by EZ rental to take the car to Firestone, I called Firestone and they were booked for the next 3 days and referred me to another mechanic, I took the car there and and after a brief inspection they told me that the car was not safe to drive due to a damaged wheel barrel, I called EZ rental again and the employee said that he refused to pay for repairs and insisted that we drive the unsafe car back to Los Angeles. I refused to endanger myself and my passengers especially since I was warned by a mechanic not to attempt to drive the car and took the car to Firestone for repair, Gilbert Lee store Manager of Firestone contacted EZ rental and the agreement was that we would leave the car there for repair and pick up. I had to cancel my trip and purchase 2 train tickets back to Los Angeles for a 7 hour detour and a very unpleasant experience all together. My trip was ruined, I spent much more money than I had planned, the car ended up taking over any time I could have used to complete my scheduled plans, your company was very unhelpful in assisting me with alternatives and basically left me stranded to figure out how I would return home. The car was used for 1 day and the rest of the trip was running around trying to figure out how to resolve this disaster. I expect a full refund on the car rental expenses and to be reimbursed for the alternative train tickets that I was forced to purchase in order to get back home. I believe this is the least your company can do for me after endangering me and my passengers, ruining a very long anticipated trip and leaving me stranded miles away from home.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would give them negative infinity plus one. From their incompetent employees, to their shady no information bearing contracts and business practices, to their dirtya$$ lemons they rent out to paying customers, this place is a total scam.
My friend rented a car from them this past weekend through travelocity at a set cost which included the three day rental fees and travelocity fee. However, as soon as we got in there, afro-​culdesac aka their owner, start charging us all kind of other fees associated w/​the rent that we were okay w/​such as the extra driver fee, collision insurance, etc etc. What we weren’t okay with that was brought to our attention when we got back from our trip, was the 200 miles a day fee. What is this, U-​Haul? WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS IN OUR CONFIRMATION LETTER from these goons (it said unlimited you p.o.s.) or even from weirdo afro-​culdesac when he was putting together our final contract w/​the new fees. This a-​hole wrote it down after we review the final cost and signed off on it. We did not notice this until we got back and had to eat the cost. However, we learned from it and now we wanted to spread the word to our fellow Unilocalers not to rent from this piece of shiet (and every negative connotation you can think of) place. This place needs to be shut down immediately and it starts now…

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. Like most, I found this Ez Rent A Car place online and it had the lowest prices. In the past, I’ve always used Enterprise, but I figured hey why don’t I save a few bucks?! To my dismay, I ended up paying double what I normally pay. These guys are major CROOKS and SCAM artists. On my reservation confirmation it said that I had unlimited miles. When we returned back from our trip we found out that I was only allotted 200 miles? I asked the attendant present where does it say that on my confirmation?! He said when you book online, there’s a disclaimer. I was like HECK NO!, there was no disclaimer with such description. I even showed the attendant there my email confirmation. He wasn’t the original guy there (some older guy) who claimed he was filling in for the owner/​CROOK… Anyways, I filed a dispute with my credit card company, so hopefully, we can get this resolved. This company needs to be shut down for their SHADY business practices. I also wish I checked Unilocal,but I really never had this type of issue renting a car before.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Wow I should have checked Unilocal prior to renting here. All I could say is the money I saved was not worth it. I will never rent from these guys again. The vehicle they gave me had the check engine, abs, and gas cap lights on. But I was stuck since I had to book a vehicle last minute on a Friday afternoon for the Memorial day weekend trip. There was six of us so I had to get a rental van. The place is located in some industrial area in some shady part of town. If your a local renter they will only give you 200 miles a day so that would be something you should consider. We walked the van and there was so many dings, bumps, and bruises that I lost count. I should have walked away when I got a chance. But it was too late. I was off in this junker and worried about if we’ll make it back or not. I’m just glad we did and now I get to warn others to avoid this place like a plague.

I agree with the previous reviews. I should have read the reviews before renting from this place. The customer service is awful. There is no formal shuttle service to and from the airport. They picked us up in a regular rental. $ 50 in fees were added to my bill without prior notification. Only one person was working when I dropped the car off. Needless to say, I had a flight to catch and it took him 45 minutes to take me to the airport.

Don’t do it!!! I’m unsure how they’re still in business. What may seem like a deal will end up costing you lots of $$. Online it seems as if you’re getting unlimited mileage, but that’s not for local customers. It’s up to 200 miles per day. Ridiculous!

I don’t recommend this place ever, just to save a few bucks and in the end having to pay for it. The car upholstery was terrible, check engine light.
The worse part of the experience was absolutely no understanding of customer service. Typically u are assisted in the order in which u arrive. Secondly, I was accused of lying and therefore overcharged for something I shouldn’t have. Not sure how this place stays in business.
Booked thru southwest airlines but I will notify them to drop this place as a rental spot.

I was renting a car for the weekend and showed up at 8am at this place, when I was supposed to. I get there and no one is there. I call the phone number on the door and the man says he’ll be there in five minutes, he had gone to the airport. After more than ten minutes he arrives, takes his time getting his things out of the car and proceeds to the door where he completely ignores my presence. We walk in the door together, I say hello and make some small talk. He walks to the front desk and starts doing paperwork looking down and not even asking me anything about my reservation. So I take my papers out and give it to him. He still then doesn’t even look at it until he’s done with whatever he’s doing. He finally asks for my ID and credit card and then a copy of my insurance. I had to go to my car to get my insurance and when I returned he had tried to charge my credit card for $ 300, which was never listed anywhere that he would be charging this; nor did he tell me he was going to charge this. On my insurance, I’m not the primary insured person so it doesn’t show my name, even though i’m on the policy, so he told me I have to call my insurance and get them to email him a copy. I stepped outside for a moment and stood there and walked back in and he’s disappeared again. I say «hello» looking for him and his un-​caring reply was «one moment’ I walked in his office and said I’m going to cancel and I grabbed my stuff and left. This guy is a joke, he doesn’t care about helping his customers and making up charges without telling someone a big no no.
Needless to say, this place should be shut down!!!

This place has several different names: Rent2Save, EZ Rent-​A-​Car, and I’m sure they will come up with another one after this review.
I would not rent from these jokers ever again. Why? Here is a brief synopsis:
1. Cars are old and in poor mechanical condition.
2. Customer service is a joke.
3. Hidden fees.
4. I personally witnessed the manager put oil into an old Ford Windstar he rented to a gentleman driving his pregnant wife to Las Vegas. To make matters worse, the doors to this van didn’t work, and when the man protested and asked why he hadn’t received the other van on the lot, the manager said «the other van needs a new transmission.»
5. Facility is a few miles from the Burbank Airport, not at the Burbank Airport.
6. SLOW — it took me 45 minutes from my arrival to departure in the car I rented.
7. The car I rented had a built in alarm system, but I was not provided a remote to disarm it. Thus, every time I opened the locked door, the alarm would go off and the only way to disengage the same was to start the engine.
8. There is only one gentleman at this location that is of any substance, and unfortunately, he does not manage the place. Therefore, any problems you may encounter will be dealt with by the manager/​owner who could care less about anything except ripping off his next customer.
Bottom line, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
