Called about combs for grooming and if they had other grooming equipment, the lady said yes, I asked if they were cheap, in which she replied I don’t know what you mean by cheap but yes and before I could ask a price range she cut me off and said goodbye. Chalked it up to being busy and decided to drive the hour out there. Upon getting there a nice kid offered to help look at the choke chains. finding pricing on items was difficult and when you had to ask them the prices they were quite rude as if it was a inconvenience, EVERYTHING was covered in large amounts of dust. Given its a warehouse but I’m talking months If not years of buildup. Despite that a lot of prices were very cheap. My mother overheard the owner talking to a customer who asked if they were out of the chicken feed in which she replied «no were not out, I had my employees put it in the freezer because we found some bugs, but chickens like bugs anyways «I was shocked by that being how they also carry other bird food, I’d be upset if I purchased bird seed for my conure and it had been infected with bugs. Yes it happens but it shouldn’t. They did have a lot of shampoos most of which were dusty, dirty, and faded. But things were cheap so I purchased a couple items. They did NOT have very many combs at all and a lot of them were poor quality, she said they were going to be getting a shipment in. Well thanks I’m glad I drove an hour out here. Later on they said they found a comb up front and told me it was $ 16.00, I said that’s not really cheap I need back up combs seeing as I already have a 40.00 comb. (I use to get my combs at groomers choice in Las Vegas between 4 and 10.00) The worst of it was when we were leaving I was checking out and realized my dog had a ball in his mouth that I was purchasing and before I ran my debit card through I quickly grabbed it since I forgot and the lady let out a big sigh of irritation. During all of this the owner is outside yelling «we’re closed» as a customer was walking up she was screaming «what am I suppose to do, you know we close at 6 you have 2 minutes». I was shocked it was only 5:50. We got in the car and drove off and halfway down the road when I realized I purchased something that I didn’t mean too. we turned around and as we were pulling in the parking lot she’s screaming at us «WERE CLOSED» and by screaming I meaning screaming and this was at 5:57. There were customers at the register and the doors were still open. She came running to our car pissed off asking what is the problem were closed and I said I purchased something I didn’t want. She ripped the receipt out of my hand and said that was not the item because it said black handle even though it had a red handle, as I’m trying to gather my purse she loudly exclaims «could you get out of the car so i can get this over with». Went back in the store and the multi colored hair lady asks what’s the problem now ?!? She refunded my money and slams the receipt. It’s a shame because they did have reasonably priced grooming blades and toys. I could deal with the dust of the store «I’m certainly not expecting perfect from a warehouse. I don’t like to leave reviews on one bad experience and would normally try them out again but this place was just too much. If you need cheap items I get it but this was a beyond horrible customer experience. Will not be back and would rather pay shipping and handling fees online. I’m a customer that would of happily bought future grooming equipment there even if it meant the hour drive just because I enjoy shopping in a store rather then online, everyone has bad days but I’d say this is just how they are. The two guys there were very nice and helpful and one of the older ladies was pretty sweet. The owner and brightly colored haired lady though were downright rude and should not be in the customer service industry (the only reason that place is still open is because animals are expensive and it’s nice to save) but add the dust and expired products it’s not worth it in my opinion.

I was quiet upset when Tom Cat was closing down due to the remodeling of the shopping center. However, finally visiting the «mother» store I couldn’t be more pleased. This warehouse is enormous to say the least; I fear I will be buying my pups countless gifts and goodies. I was quiet surprised to discover its location tucked in between the industrial area of Sun Valley and a residential neighborhood. Seriously, a must visit for any pet lover!

Huge store in a really weird random area but worth going to. They have a ton of pet food and treats and supplies for your animal friend (s). They even have puppy shots if you prefer to do it yourself. I always leave Henco with a huge bag full of dog treats to keep the doggies entertained and happy. Prices are okay. The only thing I don’t like is that they’ve been out of pig snouts for the dogs every time I go… I guess I should go more often lol

I truly want to take my time to write this review this is a very honest review people that follow me you know I don’t mess around this is a heaven compared to other pet stores this place is run by family members this is not a ordinary pet Supply store they take your customers very serious they will take their time to educate you on a product literally walk with you pick up your bags and bring them to your car I’m sure you don’t see that at Petco or any other Pet Supply places the prices are much cheaper than your ordinary pet supply stores

Best place to buy any pet supplies or bird cages or toys. Everything has got to be like 25−75% cheaper than any petco or any pet store around! Definitely a customer for life!!!

Prices are good, but customer service really stinks. All of the employees seem to like to gather at the register. When asked where something is, they just point, don’t take you there. It’s a big place, and trying to find a small food item isn’t the easiest when your looking and aren’t sure as to what it looks like. The owner is the worst, she has a terrible attitude. She hasn’t a clue when it comes to being nice, or her customer service skills. If it wasn’t for the prices, I would go elsewhere.

if you want to experience rude, racist, bitter and down right mean old bit_​hes… run to henco… yes… the prices are good… that’s the only good thing about the «haven of hate» the owner… utterly personifies «bitter old bit ch!» she drives a beat up old white lincoln… and consistently… i’m talking for years… parks in the one and only handicapped space… soo much for customer consideration/​service! the real nasty one… currently has a really, really bad. beauty school strawberry orange hair color… i walked in and they were just opening… walked in the door with her. asked where a specific product was… by name… orangy replied. ask him. as she walked right by the product i needed… i’m not here yet… she scowled!!! we are starting a rate the bitc_​scale!!! there is one, yes only one. really sweet, kind and very helpful mature woman. you can’t miss her… she’s the only one of the pack, that’s trim and in shape!!!

It takes a lot of disappointment for me to write a review about a place. And after reading some of the real reviews and comparing them with the fake paid ones that Unilocalers do so to make money form an established businesses. Well most of the negative post are correct. I have had retail jobs and have managed companies, workers etc. I have to sum it up like this. The character of the employees (except two at most) are as low and cheap as the prices for the items. You can not be pushy and just plain mean with your communication skills. I had sent two people to you front the parks I attend. However as soon as I find a place that has the same lower prices I will direct everyone I meet to a better store. I felt discriminated against. Shame on this establishment shame.

Neat little place tucked around the way from auto dismantlers and industrial shops. It reminds me if my hometown feed store. They’ve got everything here. And anyone can come in and buy products here. It’s not just for professionals.
Prices were pretty competitive. Bought a $ 59 extra large pet bed for $ 36. Vitamins for my old dog that was a $ 1 cheaper than on Amazon. Some things were cheaper on amazon by a dollar or so.
People also brought their dogs in to shop with them.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

A great store with lots of products, good prices and helpers willing to help the customer. I’ve enjoyed the talk about the older woman around — she’s the owner and though a bit short of chat — has a true heart of gold. Look inside the books covers.

A bit hard to locate but once you find it and go in you will find a great and large selection of pet needs

Large selection of products. Pretty good prices. The staff is somewhat knowledgeable. The owner is often behind the counter carefully watching the employees. She is not nice to them or to the customers. Never says hello, never friendly, always a sour look on her face. It affects the experience of shopping there.,

I used to go here but I got tired of getting harangued and a guilt trip for buying Blue Wilderness. This one worker always bad mouths the food and claims there are lawsuits against it and every time I have to explain that my pets do well on the food and that I am a former Registered Vet Tech. He will still pressure me to not buy the food and tries to get me to buy another brand. I decided to go to Pet Smart and get it. In addition, I tried to buy individual cans of a certain cat food and when I got up to the front they said they only sell it by the case… So they lost my business and I spend about 200 bucks a month.
Don’t let a high school grad with no education in nutrition to tell you what dog food to buy.
They do have good prices on liquid glucosamine.

They have it all! LOWEST prices. Vaccination shots — you give your pet yourself. Customer for 20 yrs. If they do not have it ask and they will order for you.

My fiancé & I rescued a dog & we were desperate to buy the basics to get her settled in. We arrived at Henco for the first time just 10 minutes before closing. After 5 minutes, this gruff older woman started yelling «5 minutes to closing». There was a sales associate who was helping us find what we needed. He explained that she likes to close on time. After many years in the customer service industry, I can certainly understand however I would never & have never raised my voice or been rude to a customer as a means to get them to leave on time. The sales associate who was helping us explained to her that we just needed to get 1 more item, food for our new dog. She asked us how we’d be paying, after answering she snapped back, «Well, now I’m going to have to wait to close the register!» I left the store in complete disbelief! I have never been so undervalued as a customer or treated so poorly. The savings just simply aren’t worth it!

The ladies at the front are very nice. But, unfortunately Henco sale expired can dog food.

Yes there is a gruff but lovable lady that works there, she has all the advice idiots need… best stuff, best prices, others stores buy there.
Why buy something at blah blah –CO for $ 60.00 when Henco has it for $ 38.00?

Henco is my regular stop for dog food, treats and grain for my chickens. Terrific selection, great prices and it is really well-​organized. Service is great — the ladies at the front are willing to answer questions and offer advice if you ask, but they don’t hover over you if you want to wander around and read labels. Plus the guys will carry out your heavy stuff and help load your car — that’s a blast from the past! They’re starting to carry more organic feeds too. Overall they’re responsive to special requests and will special order for you. What more could you want?

I have stopped shopping at Petco and Petsmart for dog food, toys, rabbit food, etc. they have the best prices around.
I love the warehouse feel. You can just go in and get what you need or walk around and look around with no annoying salesperson right behind you watching you’re every move.
The only con is it is recommended to pay cash unless you want to pay an extra 3% on a card.
