In regards to the Budget truck rental, I would not recommend this place. I made a reservation online for a different location (the one on Lankershim). That location called me shortly after that reservation was made to let me know they had no trucks available. So my reservation was transferred to this location. By my own mistake, I still went to the Lankershim location to pickup (put the wrong one in the GPS)…the guy there was nice enough to call this Mark Caler location for me to let them know I was there. They informed him that they had no trucks available either. Yet no one thought to call me to tell me this. So we ended up wasting our time for nothing.
This is not the first time we have had issues with Budget (prior issues with car rentals). We should have known better to think renting a truck would be any different. Will never use Budget again. Would rather pay more elsewhere.

What a joke! We made reservations for a 10 foot truck on Tuesday to be picked up Saturday. Arrive Saturday at 8:00 am, and they are surprised anyone had a reservation. Fortunately I printed the e– mail confirmation with the reservation number. That eliminated their argument. However the truck was not on site, and they were not sure where the truck was. Gave her 15 minutes to make some calls, and she was able to find the truck — down in Boyle Heights. If we wanted he truck, we would have to go get it. Boyle Heights of course is south of Burbank and we were headed north. BTW, it was a 16 foot truck, and not the 10 foot we reserved! NEVER AGAIN.

Cool place to rent a reliable, cheap truck. Read the rules, follow the rules and the chickadee up front will do her damnedest to get you a great vehicle at a great price. And if she can’t, she’ll even offer up a friendly point in a helpful direction. Also, insurance is a good thing. Not because the truck are bad, but because people are idiots. Not you, sir. I’m sure you’re a great driver. But, like, other people.
