I am a pediatric outpatient speech pathologist and I have a handful of clients that live in Sun Valley. I have always been quite disappointed that there are not a lot of coffee shops in this area. When I make my home visits, sometimes this girl can use a little caffeine pick me up, especially in the afternoon. I was so excited to see Perks open recently.
One morning before work, I decided to stop here for some coffee. I love that they have a drive thru and a counter that you can walk up to. Since I’ve never been there before, I decided to park and walk up to the counter. After perusing over the menu I decided on the iced Almond Joy specialty drink and a blueberry muffin. It had such a unique flavor that made me want more after I was done drinking it. They have quite the selection of basic coffee drinks and a whole list of different specialty drinks. I bet there is one there that will suit your taste buds. It is nice to see that they have other milk options here. I really want to try the S’mores one next time that I stop in.
It was super early and the owner was very friendly she helped me decide and persuaded me to get something to eat. I was glad that I did because it was the best blueberry muffin that I have ever had. It was full of real blueberry flavor and very moist. Perks was fast and convenient and relatively cheap compared to Starbucks. If you are ever in Sun Valley, I would definitely recommend stopping into Perks. :)

Great coffee, f$&@ Starbucks! Even used organic soy milk. Tasty drinks with quality ingredients at a decent price! Glad to have it close.

Absolutely love Perks! The owner is very friendly and makes sure you get exactly what you want. They by far have the BEST Vanilla Chai. Way better than Starbucks. All the smoothies are seriously delicious and the homemade whip cream is breathe taking. Love it ! Will be coming here more often. It’s great to have a coffee shop close to home and on the Main Street super convenient. Everything is affordable no crazy prices like Starbucks and it’s about the same sizes. Perks has a lot of variety, certainly helps when you bring friends who aren’t coffee lovers they can get a Smoothie or hot chocolate.
Keep it up perks, definitely worth trying!

I love that we have a local, delicious, coffee house in our neighborhood. Easy access, right off the main street! Definitely worth the stop.

Perks has absolutely the best beverages anywhere. The owner Shannon is always there and smiling and makes sure you get exactly what you like even if you don’t know how to ask for it. Once you find something you like, she teaches you how to ask for it next time so it can be perfect every time you come. And you will come, again and again.
Plus, the place is a total hippie hut! You’ll love the personal feel and supporting this local business.

What a great place to stop and get a coffee. Loved they had almond milk besides the typical milk that most places offer. Will definitely be back. #coffee. #coffeedrivethrough. #goodcoffee
