Stopped by for a quick lunch. Fish was fine but was served with goopy rice. Unremarkable. Nice staff.

I was in Miami for business, and after a hellacious stay in South Beach on a previous trip, decided to stay in Sunny Isles Beach. Stayed at Le Meridien, and the experience was night and day. After a long day of travelling, all I wanted was something to eat and a giant drink. Bice won out solely because of the fact it was in the hotel and I couldn’t stagger any farther than downstairs. I wasn’t really expecting anything much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the lasagne and it was really delicious. My coworker had some shrimp and lobster pasta and she loved it too. The server was really friendly and nice, buttering us up by asking us if we were in town for Spring break. Did my plane land in 1996? Then, no, we’re clearly not in town for Spring break, but thanks! Breakfast the next morning was wildly overpriced, but, meh, it’s a hotel. What do you expect? I’d definitely go back if I ever find myself in Miami again. No offense to Miami, but I’m not sure what kind of karmic retribution would cause me to end up there again, so I’m hoping that won’t happen.

This restaurant is in the new Le Meridien Hotel in Sunny Isles. If you’re looking for a place for a quiet business or social dinner away from the South Beach scene, this is the place. I had a breaded Veal dish, one of three types of veal on the menu, and it was delicious. The prices are similar to SoBe. The parking is valet only. They only had one parking attendant, so plan to wait for your car.
