This place is a great find. I am not sure which is my favorite place because it was all great.

Great newish Korean place. Have only tried the bibimbap bulgogi, and a cold spicy noodle dish, and I asked them to make kimchi pancakes once which they did do. They are all good. The service is very good. The last time I was there they brought us a small cabbage salad in basil dressing with a «deviled egg»(stuffed with potato salad) to try. It was really fresh and unique. Why don’t I give it 4 stars? It’s not amazing, just really solidly good and reliable.

Love this place. It’s kind of a small, hidden gem near the 40th St. 7 train station. I’ve had their gimbap and spicy pork with rice and both dishes were great!

Cute little place. My kids had kimbap, salmon teriyaki box, bulgogi and donkatsu — all thumbs up. I wish my spicy pork, came with banchan and a bit spicier. I learned that combo sets are for at least 2 people so good price — will try next time.

Finally found a place with good ddukbokki(spicy rice cakes)!!! Good Korean food with large portions! Will definitely be visiting again soon. Good place to get authentic Korean street food. My fiancé and I had the ddukbokki, donkatsu, ramen and kimbab. All very tasty!

I LOVE the fact that i donthave to go to the city or flushing to get good fried chicken and some good korean food! Have tried pork don katsu, ddukbokki, jjolmyun, bulgogi box, spicy squid roll, udon and they make it perfect every time and my fave is the half garlic and half spicy chicken wings! W their draft beer(although very few selections to choose from), «CHI-MAK», meaning, chicken-makjoo(beer in korean) cravings r def satisfied here! Just heard starting April 1, there will be new management… I hope they will be as good… The precious owner was sooooo friendly

Doma opened towards the end of 2015, and at that time, I picked up a take-out menu to see what they offered. Well, in those three months or so, the menu has been condensed a bit, and prices of box meals have gone up about $ 3.00 on average. Other prices have stayed the same. Overall, prices are reasonable for quality and portion size. They have good lunch specials during the week, as well. Complementary tea. Ambiance is nothing special, beer selection is outright terrible(they’d do better as a byob), but the service was friendly. Strangely, I noticed that with our table and others, the food comes out as its ready… meaning Men may be served before Women, and you might get your appetizer with your meal or even a few minutes after. Didn’t bother me, but it’s worth noting. Food is solid. We ordered two different ramen bowls and soy garlic wings. The wings were good, but fall way short of Amazin’ and in Queens, I expect Amazin’ from more than just the Mets! The ramen and dumplings, had three awesome dumplings that made it very hearty. The cheese ramen was also quite hearty and traditional. Right down to the two slices of Kraft American on top. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with other reviewers who say ‘spicy means spicy’ here. I asked for my dish to be EXTRA spicy, and it was not. Wasn’t even close, but it still tasted great! A good Korean option in Sunnyside, and as Arnold would say, I’ll be back.

Great chicken, better than the Korean chains in Manhattan. Great, kind service in a small place. Reasonably priced, I had ramen and the soy garlic fried chicken!

This is the second Korean restaurant to open in Sunnyside. I’m glad the menu is very different from the other Korean restaurant so there’s a variety going on now. The décor is very casual, nothing fancy, and the restaurant itself is very small. Surprisingly they do serve beer. In Korea, a lot of young adults like to eat chicken and beer amongst friends and that’s what they have here. The food is nothing special. If this was a place in flushing where Korean restaurants are a dime a dozen I doubt this place would survive. But in sunnyside where it’s the only one of its kind, it stands out. I appreciate that all meals come with miso soup and tea on side as almost every one of their dishes makes miso soup and tea a good complement. I had their kimbap(a rice rolled in seaweed with vegetables) and it was good, not great. I wish they also put in sesame leaf and flavor the rice a little — which I think would step it up a notch. Their bibimbap tasted clean and healthy. Their chicken wings satisfied my craving for Korean wings. Most Korean restaurants give free banchan(side dishes) but not here so don’t come here expecting a load of side dishes. Like I said, if this place was in flushing it wouldn’t be the place to go for any of the foods I mentioned. Not a baby friendly place– they have booster seats but not high chair. But babies are welcome, obviously– I took mine and we did ok. I love that there is this place in sunnyside and I will definitely be returning if I ever want to have some Korean food and not make the trek out of my neighborhood, which is most of the time.

Food was so good! I ordered the Korean fried chicken and it was really great! The fried dumplings kimchi and pork were really good also and the ramen was great as well. Only downfall is that they are not on seamless or grubhub yet so there is a bit of a language barrier for the women on the phone. She couldn’t get my address right and we waited over an hour for the food. Still worth the wait!

I don’t know why Unilocal says this place is $$$, but it’s more $-$$. I know because I don’t go to $$$ places since I have no $$$. But this is a quaint Korean eatery where they do take out and delivery. Eating in is ok too, but it’s quite small. I’m glad there’s a Korean restaurant in my area because I don’t want to go deep for flushing. Well food is good and very comforting(good portions). Vegetarian options: I have tried vegetable kimbap, jolmyun, bibimbap and ddukboki. I made sure to ask if that ddukboki(spicy rice cake) was truly vegetarian cause I know, I’ve cooked that before and you know? Some people use anchovies and I aint about eating fish. ASKFORNOFISHCAKETOO! But yeah, these guys use vegetable stock. I would like more vegetarian options though, or at least mark it on the menu or something.

Imagine you have a Korean friend who never cooked before, invited you to a homemade Korean dinner. Food is bland and everything has odd ingredients in them but she cooked with care so you say thank you but next time you’d rather meet her at restaurants. That’s the kind of food you get here, except you have to pay for the food. Seems like the chef doesn’t know how to cook nor he/she has any passion in cooking. You have to be a foodie to know what’s tasty and what’s not. They are CLUELESS in delicious Korean food. Food was as bland as it can be. They don’t know how to season food and I’m not talking about MSG. They simply don’t use salt, sugar, vinegar kind of seasoning properly. They used plain unseasoned rice for kimbap. Tuna kimbap was so bland that if you just close your eyes and eat it, you’d think you’re eating rice wrapped with seaweed with NOTHING in it. They use odd Japanese oden for dukboki and they cut their radish so tiny, desperately trying to cut cost. Two of us paid about $ 50 for lunch and we didn’t have ANY leftover like we expected when we ordered 4 dishes; SMALLPORTION. I really wanted to love this place but would not go back.

Yes! Finally another Korean restaurant! I’ve been here twice and so far I’ve tried… Fried Chicken — I had the soy garlic one and it was really good. Kim bap — Not the best kimbap I’ve had but still solid dduk bokki — so good. Esp with kimbap Spicy Pork Box — It comes with a salad, dumplings and rice and only $ 10. They give you a complimentary miso soup which I really liked. Yay!

I am a native Korean(aka FOB) and so happy to have this place in Sunnyside. Yes it isn’t too special in terms of décor and probably the food tastes little bland for those who got used to K-town’s strong food. But to me, this is what exactly my mom and grandma used cook for me. No MSG no tricks, just simple good food. Lots of the menu they carry is the typical Korean«School Food» which I used get all the time after school when I was younger. They also have Korean Style fried chicken so I don’t have to go to Jackson Heights or to the city anymore. I also had spicy squid over rice and it was pretty spicy and good.(I like the fact that they didn’t try to make it too sweet) Gimbob was also good and again, it’s something that my mom would make it for me. I could have give them 5 stars if they have soju but oh well. lol(They do have some beers.)

I was excited to try this place but overall, it was a less than average experience. The food was very mediocre except for the squid fries which were delicious! The staff is nice but not attentive enough. Repeatedly had to ask for water for over 30 minutes and when they did fill it, it was only halfway. Is NYC having a drought I don’t know about? I suggest this place if you’re craving Korean fusion but too lazy to make the trip to Flushing.

Overall its an okay food, not really surprise me and i tried something better before. It is very convenient and close to our apartment and its new so we decide to give it a try. The food price is kind of above the average for Korean comfort food. The mackerel was good, tasty and crispy but it was too little for $ 12. I had bigger for $ 10 in other place. The shrimp fried rice was bland and need more seasoning. On the menu it stated will come with salad, rice and soup but it only come with rice and soup. They have no delivery yet because the have no worker yet. Overall I understand that this restaurant just opened and lets see on our second try next time. To be continued!

Recently opened. I was in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat with my friend and BAM there it was, Doma. They have great selections of fusion cuisines including basic korean food and some japanese. I ordered a galbi box and my friend a bulgogi box with mixtures of their fried chicken. Let’s say their spicy chicken is heaven, fresh, and full of flavor in my mouth. We were actually surprised how galbi and the marinated beef(bulgogi) tasted better than other korean restaurants I visited. Afterall, Doma is a small restaurant and we expected the food to be mediocre. It also came with soup(which I asked for few more refills lol), salad too. We will be going back to try out other menu. The price can’t be beaten!
