I’ve been here a hand full of times. The first time I came, I was very happy, hence I went back. However, the last two visits made me a very unhappy customer as she chopped off my hair and I am just waiting for my hair to slowly grow back. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. The huge language barrier does not help. Maybe you will have better luck?

I come here all the time. My mom, sister, godmother, and myself all get out hair down here and we live in manhattan! The owner is the only person who works here but I have to say she is so knowledgeable in hair regardless of what nationality and type of hair one has. She caters to all different styles of hair. A lot of Asian hair salons cut hair catering to the asian appeal but she knows how to cater to the American culture of sexy and cute! A bonus is the haircut is so cheap given the quality of the stylist. $ 25 plus tip! But I don’t necessarily come here because it’s cheap, rather for the quality of the haircut. If the haircut cost $ 100 I would still pay that much! But don’t come in here if you are looking for a luxurious hair salon. This place is your local asian hair salon. But hey, who care about the interior? As long as your hair comes out stunning!

I stumbled upon this hair salon walking past Starbucks and made a mental note to try it next time as I was in the search for a new barber after my current barber butchered my hair twice. Later noticing my hair fully covering my ears, sticking out from the side, and itching on the back of my neck, I called in advance and scheduled an appointment for 7pm on the same day. We spoke in Korean(the barber prefers Korean) so I cannot comment on her English speaking abilities, but she most likely could speak some english given her business is in a multiracial neighborhood and her sign is in English. The barber greeted me sincerely as I walked in 10 mins. late and she asked me to sit down right away. Apparently she was waiting just for me, her last appointment of the day which made me feel quite special. + stars. As I observed the surroundings, there was a cute little white dog wearing a green winter jacket, a grandma I believe is the mother of the barber, and a tv showing a Korean drama at a loud volume, probably to accommodate for the grandma’s ears. The dog was cute and added flavor to the barber shop. The barber asked me which style I wanted, and I informed her to trim slightly and keep the length the way it is. She did just that. She cut with precision using 2 scissors and a trimmer, and finished in roughly 15 mins. The total price was $ 20, but I gave her $ 25 because she did a fantastic job. I was completely satisfied and will come again. Perhaps I’ll ask her dye my hair next time– sky blue.
