Always Smiling Daycare

My twins are so happy here. Sherry and her daughter Carmel take good care of kids. They are loving, patient and professional caregivers.
Kids don’t lie. My twins used to stay in other care center before and told me they didn’t want to go to school. But now, they say goodbye to me every morning with happy faces. I appreciate what Sherry and Carmel do for kids. As a working mom, now I can go to work without guilt, because my kids are going to a place they like!

We looked around quite a bit to find a good day care for our son. We settled on Always Smiling for a whole bunch of reasons and started sending our son when he was about 18mo old. For starters, it was affordable and within our budget and the commute time was very short which was also a constraint for us. But it was the intangibles that won us over. First and foremost, Sherry’s down-​to-​earth and very positive personality, her many years of experience running day care, being a parent to her 3 kids, her love for animals and the safe environment of her home. All of this gave us enormous confidence that our son will acclimatize quickly and thrive there. Now its been about 7 months since he has been going to Always Smiling and he loves it. We feel so lucky to have found Sherry and Camille to take care of our son.
These are the best part of the day care for me:
1. They take pictures and videos of the kids so we can see what they are up to.
2. They have good play area in the back for the kids and keep adding new things periodically which is great for the kids.
3. There is good diversity of demographic of kids; indian, asian, caucasian etc.
4. They do art work, circle time every day which is great.
5. They celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays etc by doing potluck parties.
To me the biggest testimonial for Sherry’s work is when I met parents of kids who she took care of few years earlier have such high regard and appreciate her work so much. Sherry is simply the best there is. I’m a retired CalWORKs supervisor and part of my job was working directly with childcare providers all over Santa Clara County, mostly in Gilroy. I had the pleasure of meeting Sherry when my daughter needed childcare about 7 years ago. Our second grandson spent only a few months there last Spring but from learning the alphabet we noticed that he started reading on his own. She just like part of the family and every child is one of her own. Absolutely wonderful.

Both of my girls LOVE going to Sherry’s! My oldest is now 3 and has been there since 6 months old, and my youngest just started at 4 months. We’ve been impressed by how much our daughter learns there and how quickly, with all the activities and outside play (and each day we get an art projects to take home!). It’s also been wonderful that Sherry provides food for the older kids, and diapers and wipes for the babies! Sherry is incredibly responsive, compassionate, personable and most importantly she loves our kids! Highly recommend!

My son is coming to Sherry since he was 18 months, he is almost 4. He loves Sherry and so do I,
My son has gained a great amount of knowledge and above all awesome social skill. Our son has learned valuable lessons in the areas of friendship & sharing, manners and helping others.
Sherry has those kids on preschool program as soon they can hold a pen, when older kids work on the curriculum, little kids just doddle which helps they with their motors skills.
I have a very hard time trusting people with my son, at Always Smiling Daycare it’s always been very easy. She is very caring and spends the time to talk with me through anything that is going on during the day.
They have parties and crafts for holidays and all the children seem to be pretty happy. They have independence while having someone loving with them instead of a teacher’s scolding or no supervision. She water mist on hot days, bouncy house someday in summer.

I just want to say thanks to Sherry and her staff. I choose Always Smiling Daycare at first was because it’s close to my work. We came down to California from Canada and had only a few days to settle things before we started works here. Our boy is now 3 years old, and we see his progress every day when we go pick him up. Our boy was in a very reputable daycare in Ottawa, and I believe at Sherry’s place, he (and us) received above and beyond the care he had in Ottawa.

Our daughter started Always Smiling Daycare towards the end of October 2012.
When we were looking for a new daycare for our daughter, we were torn between Always Smiling Daycare and more of private facility. I’m glad we picked Always Smiling Daycare!
Sherry, the caregiver, is awesome! Our daughter loves going to daycare! My daughter is always singing songs she has learned, comes home with artwork everyday, and her work that she had did that day.
Always Smiling Daycare is like a preschool setting with the extra love of a home daycare.
She gives the kids breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. She also helps with the potty training. If your kids are still in diapers, she provides diapers and wipes.
Price is VERY reasonable!

I’ve been taking my son to Always Smiling Daycare for a little over 1 year now. Sherry is amazing! My son is now 3 years old and he has learned so much from her. Not only does she provide a home daycare she actually teaches them a lot. It’s like a pre-​school environment. My son comes home with artwork everyday and is always singing new songs that I have never heard before. She is reasonably priced and helps with potty training as well. Sherry is so loving and easygoing. I am extremely happy I found her.

Sherry! Just thinking about her brings a smile and sense of satisfaction on my face. My daughter has been going to Sherry’s — Always Smiling Day Care since she was one year old, for the past two years. She went to two home based day cares prior to that and I had accepted the fact that a day care can not be a kid’s second home UNTIL we met Sherry.
We came across her advertisement on Craigslist and went and met her. Her kind, gentle as well as enthusiastic demeanor and genuine attitude immediately made us decide that this will be our daughter’s day care. I am so glad we made that decision.
Sherry has been a great care –giver and teacher. My daughter loves her and is eager to go to her second home every single day. She has learned letters, rhymes, writing alphabets, counting numbers and much more. Sherry follows the Mother Goose Pre-​School course, my daughter comes back home with a craft every day.
She teaches the kids to be friendly and gentle and they learn to share and care about each other. They are like one big happy family. :) (I know!!)
They celebrate valentine’s day, Easter, Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas at day care.
Sherry gives morning breakfast, nutritious lunch having protein and veggies and evening snacks. Her back yard and day care is full of great toys, bikes, slides. It’s a kids paradise indeed. I really like that she is extra cautious about safety of kids and always keeps a watch on them.

I brought my son to Sherry when he was about 4 months old. As a first time mom, I spent numerous hours researching potential caregivers for my son because he was born with medical issues. I went to a few daycare providers but did not feel that I could trust them with my son as he required specialized care. Most providers did not want the extra responsibility involved in caring for my baby. But, Sherry was unique and different from everyone I met. She has a genuine heart and an innate loving disposition to care for little ones like they are her own. This was and still is a huge deal for me.
When I first met Sherry, I instantly connected with her caring and «down to earth» nature. Whenever I see her with my son, I notice a bond between them. Not only is she able to care for multiple children at the same time, but she has that special gift to connect with each child individually. Nothing can beat this unique personalized attention when it comes to your own child.
Sherry definitely offers affordable rates, especially for the extra perks she offers. There is no additional fee for the pre-​school curriculum she utilizes to encourage learning and development of young minds. Her daily activities with the kids consists of circle time, art projects, nap time and free play. My son comes home with a different art creation everyday! I remember when my son learned the 12 months of the year a little after turning one. Now, at age 3, he can recite the planets of the solar system.
I can’t say enough good things about Sherry and how much she has contributed to my son’s well-​being. Sherry’s home is my son’s second home, and I feel comforted and secure each and every day I drop him off at Always Smiling Daycare.

I’ve been taking my son to Always Smiling Daycare since he was 15 months old. Sherry, the owner, is a very loving mother of 3. She’s been in the daycare business for over 15 years.
She really gives her all to the kids. My son has learned his letters, how to count and how to play with other kids and she also helped with potty training. I’m impressed at how much they learn. Since its a home based daycare, she feels like family to us. She treats our kids like family too.
The price for the daycare is extremely reasonable. It includes diapers and wipes if your child is not potty trained. It also includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. I also like the fact that she is open from 6 am — 6 pm, it fits well with our work schedules.
We can’t thank her enough for the positive impact she’s had on her son. Thanks to Sherry for opening your heart and home!
