Bank of the Worst!
They will suck the life outta every penny, nickle, dime or dollar. They have all these wacky fees — they charge you for everything! They hold debit/​payment charges for so long, its almost as if they want to trip you up so they can charge more fees. I’m so sick of the way they managed my acct, for the past 5 years. They closed my saving acct and made me get new savings so they can charge me even more fees. Its was not linked to my checking acct even though I have asked several times — way to many mistakes!!! I went over 3 weeks without a debit card cause they lost my request or mailed it to the wrong address, then the name was spelled wrong and was not linked to saving. I can go on and on but i’m so tried of this bank, really I’m sooo done! «It’s not me it’s you Bank of the Worst» we are so over.
I switched over to Capital One Bank today and will be shutting BOTW Down!!!

I use this bank to cash my payroll check — yes it costs me money, but I don’t have a bank account, so this is a good option.
I’ve had interaction with Peter, and Carmen. Both are very nice, and remember me each time.

This is a local good old fashioned no bullshit bank (in the positive sense) with real people working there. Customer since two years without any issues.

I had the good fortune of opening an account here with a BoW employee Terry and she was one of the most helpful bankers that I have ever encountered. I would give more than 5 starts if possible. I have been a customer at this branch for over 4 years and have always got an excellent service regarding all my banking needs with individual personal care from Terry. I recommend anyone opening a new account ask for Terry.

I drive all the way from Cupertino for my favorite tellers Sharon and Peter. This is the type of bank where they know your name. 5-​star service, appreciate the extra mile that they go!

Maybe one of the greatest monuments to wacky 70’s architecture. You gotta dig the disk on top of the building. Otherwise I just you the ATM.

Summary. Poor customer service, nickel and dime fees and poor online services.
There’s not much I like about Bank of the West. I’m a pretty safe customer since I don’t overdraw my account and typically don’t say much unless I have a really bad experience. I’ve had several of those. Mostly due to nickel and dime fees followed by poor customer service. I closed my account this past weekend and am looking for a bank that doesn’t suck :).

so here’s a little story. my fiancé an I had just received a check from Fidelity which we needed to cash to put a down payment on our condo. long story short… we needed to get the money asap to get the condo. my fiancé has been a customer at this bank for over 20 years AND she worked there –at that branch-​for several years. we asked if we could get the check cashed and posted and explained to the teller the importance of this. she said that they would have to put a 90 day hold on the check. since my fiancé worked there before she knew this was a bunch of bs. she has been an outstanding customer and never once has bounced a check or otherwise. she knew that they take care of their customers… or at least back then they did. back to the story. we asked her to try to get approval from her manager. we explained the story to the manager who said the best she could do was 7 days. I had enough and went to my bank –wells fargo. I asked them and explained the whole story above. I got a no problem we just needed to set up a joint account. guess what? the money was posted and ready within 5 mins.

I’ve been using this bank since I was thirteen and had babysitting money to deposit on a weekly basis. Everyone at this branch is so friendly, they remember your name — and since all my immediate family bank here — they remember to ask about my dad or sister anytime I go in. They still offer fresh coffee, have a good amount of parking space, and there are two convenient ATM’s (one drive thru, and one walk-​up) at this location. I absolutely love the friendly personal service, and the minimal fees that Bank of the West provides.
