Caring Hearts Child Development Center

Both of my daughters attended here. My first was here for about 3 years until she moved on to Kindergarten and my youngest attended until almost 1, and started at only 6 weeks. I only switched my youngest because of location and less time closed for holidays which helps with my work schedule for me. My kids were always very happy here never cried before but sometimes cried because they didn’t want to leave. They have fun activities for the kids, and I used to always notice them doing head counts to make sure no kids were left behind or anything. With any daycare there are a few cons but nothing that stands out for me to mention because overall I was very happy with their service. I honestly felt they loved and cared for my kids like their own. The teachers were always very loving to my kids and I did get close to them over time. I bonded with Ms. Sharda, Marina, Debra, Pam, Genevieve the baby room teachers (sorry the name just slipped my mind) and the director Dee is really not that hard to reach. I saw her everyday morning and closing. I definitely would recommend them.

Our two children attended Caring Hearts and loved it! Our son started at age 2 and our daughter started as an infant. We were very happy with all their teachers along the way — my school-​aged children still talk about what fun they had with and what they learned from Miss Pam and Miss Sharada!
The teacher, student, cultural, and socio-​economic population was diverse. We appreciated that, and the exposure, awareness, and acceptance of others because of it.
Wherever there are kids, there will be germs, runny noses, dirty faces, accidents, and other hiccups, but there were plenty of attentive staff to help in any situation regardless of which room/​age group they were assigned and communication with parents was awesome. And it gave peace of mind that Dee, the Director, is a registered nurse for any more-​than-​minor medical situation — of which there were none during our 4 years there.
Caring Hearts is a play-​based CDC with learning through fun. We enjoyed all the arts and crafts things our children brought home. For sure, their days were not filled with tv and video games. We also enjoyed the various events held each year: Halloween parade, Mother’s Day tea, Father’s Day rootbeer float, Christmas party with a real life Santa and games, and end-​of-​year program and «graduation.» We have many pictures and fond memories.
Just so you know we’re not all gushy and that Caring Hearts isn’t a 100% perfect… half a star off… the jungle gym is rusty and they could have a more grassy area for the kids out in the back. The layout of the rooms seems odd at first, but you get used to it and it’s perfectly functional with multiple exit routes. And the parking lot is small and tight. (Thank goodness for the back-​up camera in our minivan!)
We’ve only had one other daycare to compare our experiences. Our first daycare was nice, if a tad sterile. We were so glad to have found Caring Hearts. They were our children’s 7am to 5pm family, who took care of them with a firm hand and a caring heart.

This place needs a lot of major improvements to ensure the safety of the kids. I used to take my daughter there for a while until I started to notice that something was really wrong — especially because she would cry for a longm time before dropping her off and after picking her up. Here is a breakdown of what is going on:
— too many kids. When the kids are going out to the play ground, they all go out there together and even though the areas are «separated» all of the kids still mingle (or fight) with each other.
— teachers nice but super stressed out. That is because as soon as you step into their classrooms, everyone is running around and the teachers look so overwhelmed. If a kid is crying, they’ll just let him/​her be without comforting them. Also
— biting not taken seriously. My daughter came home one day and I noticed a huge bite mark on her hand. She told me that another kid did it and that she was crying. However, no one noticed! The bite mark was there for about 3 days and the director nor teachers ever noticed who or what caused it.
— director in and out. When I was trying to get a hold of the director, even after making that first appointment, she was not available and no one knew where she went. Also, i would randomly watch her leave and jump to her car to who knows where, during «business hours».
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place until it is structurally better. Please do some in depth research of this place before committing to take your kids here.

My 2 and a half year old son goes here and I LOVE it here for him! All the staff is amazing and loving. I couldn’t ask for a better place for him to be!

Caring hearts is one of the worst childcare centers that my child has ever been placed to I placed my 4 year old and 2 year old at this child care. They didn’t teach my 4 year old how to write her name or in any way prepare her for kindergarten my 2 year old started fighting and bitting n sticking out her tounge and she told me that a teacher had smaked her in her head. My 2 year old would start crying when i would drop her off and would tell me that they were mean to her on one incident I went to pick her up and no one was able to let me know we’re she was she had been in a closet by her self for god only knows how long when I adressed this to the teacher and director Dee they took it personal and we’re very unprofessional about this situation so they sent me a letter home telling me that they were dropping my child after this incident witch I was already going to do. My 4 year old told me in one occasion that they were playing outside and my daughter saw one of the teachers approach my 2 year old and told another kid to hit my 2 year old back so they were anableing kids to fight. When I aproched this to Dee the director she was fake and told me everything I wanted to hear even if I didn’t believe it. So my point is don’t leave your child’s education to them or your money because it’s not worth it.

My daughter loved this daycare. Wonderful staff like Dee the director and Ms Beth an infant room teacher.

Review is been overdue for long… my son when he was 2 years, we put him in Caring Hearts… he was with his mom until he reached 2 years and he was so much attached that he needs his mom n me for everything… we put him in mommy and me program and later we saw Caring Hearts and my wife felt comfortable and we started initial 3 days morning session and slowly we progressed to 5 days full time…
It was one of the best decisions we did and the teachers there Mindy, Pam were wonderful… he learned to paint and art/​crafts and they engaged him very well… later we moved him out of Caring Hearts since we felt that he needs to be put in a more school like environment and commute was getting bit tough…
If you are looking for your loved ones a safe place… i would strongly recommend Caring Hearts.

We love this day care center. Our son has been going here for the past 7 months now. He loves it here.
They take very good care of the infants in the infant room.
They interact with the babies and help them develop the motor skills.
They maintain a very good day chart of each baby: feeding schedule: BMs: Naps: Solid intakes.
Anytime I have special request. they always listen and try their best to follow /​do it.
