Established in 1972.

European Car Repair has formed alliances with Common Ground of Palo Alto and Palo Alto High School to help with their fund raising efforts. «Helping these organizations is one way for us to give something back to our community». If you have a favorite charity that would like to become part of our efforts please have them call our office and talk with Jaclyn. Jaclyn has been in the automotive industry since 15 years of age. Started working at her father’s auto glass shop after school. Graduated college at Denver State College at Aurora campus. Started working at a Mercedes dealer in 2000 took over ECR in 2005. Palo alto resident for 11yrs, mother of Diego Rodriguez, born December 9, 2009. Jaclyn has a service advisor certificate, shop owner certificate, from Mercedes Benz and BMW with a ATI re-​enginering certificate plus degrees in Business & Political Science. Auto dealer licensed in 2007. Jaclyn is involved in the community helping at local churches, hospitals & schools.

I took my very neglected Mercedes SLK 320 (2001) here early this year and was very pleased with their work and enjoyed the friendly, caring atmosphere. I would have rated them then but forgot about it when I stopped using my car for several months because of a problem unrelated to their work. I finally got tired of taking a bus or (God forbid!) walking, so I got into the car one morning, started it up, and it ran beautifully… and has ever since so they must have done some great work because, aside from a Recall Brake Light issue (which the MB factory is responsible for because it was built wrong), and some items which were on the check ‘to be done’ list, the car is still doing well. I attribute that to the care it received here.

I had a great experience with European Car Repair. I came in on Saturday at 10:30am Jaclyn who was awesome, took my car right away and they did basic service. They washed it gave it to me clean and I also got a bottle of Chardonnay with it. Can you beat that?

Seriously they dont know what they are doing! They just want your money and dont fix your car properly! I got fixed my car and first they wanted to make whole inspection, i paid for inspection and for the fixing. I got the car and they told me we checked everyhing and no probs left at all. And in the morning i got warnings again and i called them they told me to come they are avaliable. I waited for 45mins and then they told me they wanna do inspection about the prob again and wanted me pay. Even the techician told me they didnt check alignment and didnt touch the part that im having the prob in the morning. So why i paid for the whole inspection?!! Why you tell me to come if you are not avaliable! how do you feel you got your car after 2 weeks and in the morning there is still a prob and you take it back and they want you to pay again. Im sorry but you guys should pay me for wasting my time!

I really wanted to give this place another shot, especially bc it is woman owned, but the customer service is extremely unpleasant.
I initially took my car here in January for an inspection prior to purchasing the car. I was told an incorrect pricing for a diagnostic by the person at the front desk – fine simple miscommunication. I left bc I was in a hurry and later realized the paper work that I was given was incorrect – the inspection that I requested was not complete. I communicated with the owner via phone and she informed me that the inspection that I requested was «exceptionally more money» than what I got. That is absolutely fine, not a problem. I was also informed that the person at the front desk was new and apparently didn’t know how to do her job well. Horrible management skills to have the audacity to communicate that to a customer!!! That is what job training is for. It actually made me very uncomfortable to hear the owner of this establishment belittle her employee. I went BACK to get the diagnostic completed. I was greeted by the same polite NEW employee. She also helped me throughout the entire process. I returned to this place with in a matter of 48hrs and no one was there to assist the NEW employee with customers or questions. I was gifted a bottle of wine as a new customer – nice gesture.
I called back to inquire about a service with this place. I had strong intent to actually schedule the service bc the pricing is great. However, the woman I spoke with (the owner) was extremely lackluster, she barely let me talk during the conversation. I also received a discount email for $ 100 off of a minimum $ 250 service after my first visit – The CTA link in this email took me to a discount offering $ 50 off of the $ 250 service. She informed me that the special was expired and the link simply updates. I suggested that she note expiration dates in her emails sent to customers. Her response was «mm oh yeah, there wasn’t an expiration date in there? oh ok.» Please take pride in your place of business and step up your customer service. This is YOUR BRAND!

TAKE YOUR CAR HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Honestly, one star is too generous. I started this review 4 years ago. Was too mad to finish… but still have a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure how things are now, but the employees were fighting with management and the attitude from the shop manager was horrible. She clearly would rather be somewhere else. Take my review for what it’s worth. I’m not going into the details because it’s been a long time, and hopefully they are better now.

Friendly and personal treatment. Mechanic, Waleed is very thorough, and trust worthy. Angie is great with customers and as for Jaclyn, she is fantastic, remembers every customer. I’ve been coming here for many years, they are getting better with time. Highly recommended.

European car repairs are quite pricey but the lady who owns it was very friendly and accomodated me on a Saturday and were reasonably priced. The staff was also efficient and my standard service and some minor electrical work (oil change, headlamp replacement, etc) were completed within an hour. Will use again.

So I took in my VW here last month and I am not complaining. I saw them on Unilocal while I was at my little one’s daycare which is close by. Jaclyn and her team are awesome and I am willing to spend my money here again. I promise you this. If you are willing to give the tender loving care to your European vehicle they are willing to put the time in it and tell you the truth on how it is with your car.

The best car repair experience I’ve had! Jaclyn was great to deal with and made it very easy to schedule my service appointment and arrange for a free loaner car all through text message. When I went to pick up my car, they had it washed, and even gave me a bottle of wine for being a new customer. I will certainly be a repeat customer!

Thanks for making my BMW experience pleasant. I am a busy mom with two kids. I got a quote with Ms. Jacklyn through Unilocal.I brought my wagon in and Jacklyn and her team assisted me in anyway possible. One of the technician SHOWED me what he was going to do with the car. They also had a nice loner car for me so I could continue on with my day.

The front office staff (*Jaclyn was freakin awesome) and all others I dealt with were knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. They made me feel comfortable about brining my car in, whether it be that day, next day; w/​their free tow service, free loaner, pick up or drop off at my work place, Enterprise meeting at my office if I desired, totally flexible and accommodating. I felt at ease during a time when I felt (should feel) a little anxious about what possible expenses I could be facing, possibly not having reliable/​or any transportation. It was an out of this world experience for a auto repair shop. I felt as though I was getting high end department store or dealership service. Overall, the prices for parts were very reasonable as well labor considering what they offer you, free tow, loaner car etc. (…plus piece of mind and professionalism «priceless)

I contacted the owner, Jaclyn, about selling my 2006 330i BMW and she was so quick and efficient that she managed to sell it within 24 hours. I was stressing out about how I was going to sell my car after buying a new one, but Jaclyn took all the stress out and made it as easy of process as possible.
Jaclyn made this a seamless process for me, and took care of all negotiations, paperwork, payment, etc. I would highly recommend letting European handle your car sale, as it was literally one of the easiest transactions I’ve ever done.

I have taken my Mini Cooper S, MB ML500, and my siblings have taken both their Audi’s here and have had great service. I have always been given a clean loaner car when I bring my car in for service, which is extremely convenient for me. I have brought my ML in for routine maintenance, some electrical issues, and I’ve also had my fuel pump changed here recently. The mechanic here is very knowledgable and fast. Also, they get major points for always washing my car!
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service here. I’m always confident that I am getting the best possible service at the best price. Jaclyn is always honest, and I can trust her opinion. I highly recommend having your car serviced here.

I have been taking my BMW 530i to Jaclyn for the last couple of years and I appreciate their excellent service keeping my car running like new. Their prices are very fair and they have even advised me when I don’t need more maintenance than necessary. Her service techs are friendly, easy to talk to and explain everything. Plus they always provide me a nice BMW or Mercedes loaner car which

Jaclyn and team provide service that goes above and beyond. They did an excellent job on the repairs for my Mercedes and they only fixed what needed to be done. Came here by mistake, an other place with similar name close by… repair seems ok. good points are they covered the towing and rental car. On the down side they do not communicate well And do not accept Amex. Not very recommendable place.

I had an oil leak on our infinity and took it to Jaclyn. She gave me a loaner car that was awesome. It was clean and gassed up. The tech that worked on the car is a beast. He had my car on the lift in no time and showed me where the leak was and what needed to be done to fix it. He also said that he needed to steam clean it just to make sure that there was not a leak anywhere else. I appreciated the honesty and the customer service I received when I was there.
I recommend trying this shop out if you have an issue with your vehicle.

This place did rip me off, sent me off and wrote me off! I was told I needed to replace my A/​C module for my MBZ and they sold me a «remanufactured» part. Several weeks later the display wasn’t legible and they didn’t want to fix it, claiming it was «cosmetic issue» and not their problem. Remanufactured parts aren’t supposed to come with burned out bulbs or pixel problems.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Do yourself a favor and check out the the non-​published/​hidden Unilocal reviews. I wish I had done so. It finally came down to reporting this company to the Bureau of Automotive Repair to get things resolved. Bottom Line: This place does «suck at being an auto shop».
