Round Table Pizza – Oakmead

I attended a pizza and beer social at this restaurant two nights ago. I was delighted by the flavorful generously-​topped vegetarian pizzas and the chilled crisp IPA beer served in frosty-​cold glasses. The counter and server staff were a cheery bunch, and delivered our pizzas hot, and fast! I liked the party room that struck a balance between privacy and roominess to engender camaraderie among the techie guests. I would definitely recommend this spacious RT location and their yummy pizzas.

Came here for pick up, received awesome service and fast pickup. Employee named Gabriel was not only respectful and professional, but in addition was able to provide fast service. He was able to have an extra-​large pizza split into two different types of pizza ready within only 15 minutes! That’s impressive. The pizza was also really good. Both employees working at the time named Tina and Gabriel were both helpful and friendly! Would highly recommend this location and definitely coming back here again. Thanks guys!

I am giving this establishment one star only because I cannot give it less. Wr will not order from this Roundtable again, it was our local go to place for pizza, for a while. my last interaction with this RT was such a disappointment. I placed a delivery order on a Friday, 430PM, the woman who helped me said pizza would arrive in 45 minutes.
1 hour later, I call RT to see where our food is, the employee who answered the phone had a rude/​customer service lacking tone, she made me feel like I was doing something wrong for asking about our food, she put me on hold for about 5 minutes, and tells me the wait was 1hr and a half and it would arrive at that time –I mentioned I was told the wait was 45 minutes, she didn’t like that, and said «no, 1hr and a half», I chose not to argue, as these people are handling our food.
30 minutes later, still no food, the same employee answers, I give her my name and ask where our food is, again, her tone is rude and puts me on hold, for 10+ minutes! while on hold, I get my family together so we can go get a refund and have dinner elsewhere. while walking out of our house, a delivery driver parks right behind us, pulling out pizzas, I told her we’re not accepting it, heading to RT for a refund.
10 minutes later, we arrive at RT, i am still on hold by the way, we walk in, place is dead, 3 – 4 customers dining in. the woman at the counter, looked unclean and unprofessional. Pregnant, chewing gum like a slob and had a toddler running around behind the counter… no wonder!!! I told her who i was, showing her my phone to let her know I was still on hold, she didn’t like that. out of nowhere, another employee approaches the counter from a back area, she starts to address me and asks how she can help. I tell her of the horrible customer service I received and to please give me a refund. I got it and left.
seriously! unless you want disgusting people tending to your food and terrible customer service, do not go here.

Should be zero stars. Called for a deliver but driver never showed up, I had to call and find out his car wasn’t working. They didn’t even call me to tell after an hour.

Awesome staff and delicious pizza! And, they have a link on their website which allows you to instantly print out coupons. Love it! The Manager Gabriel was so polite and courteous on the phone and in person. Ordered a pizza for NYE and went in to pick up. Gabriel and his co-​worker greeted me and had my order ready to go. Loved the excellent customer service and positive attitudes. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

It was New Year’s Eve and we were looking for a tasty meal. Ordered online and upon entering was delighted with the inviting appearance of the Oakmead Round Table Pizza restaurant. There is ample seating which I only mention because it was late in the evening and there were no other customers. Round Table is always a good choice for tasty food. Choosing this location was particularly pleasing because of the remarkably friendly and professional service. We live in a world where kindness and courtesy are not usually associated with fast food establishments. No doubt my review is biased in favor of this establishment because of the particularly good service received from Gabriel. The service combined with the quality of this food made for an enjoyable end of year dining experience.

Whomever was on duty Saturday night, October 17^th, refused to take our order even though the restaurant was open for another half hour. When we walked in, they were counting the money and completely ignored us as we stood there for 5 minutes. When we asked if they were open they said «we are open for another half hour» then walked to the back. They obviously had no intention of taking our order and clearly were only interested in leaving early instead of doing their job. Never again.

Ordered a Hawaiian personal pizza online. When I got back to my office, I found they had given me a plain cheese pizza. I didn’t have time to go back during my lunch hour. When I called later, I spoke to a «supervisor» who blamed the error on «the Internet». No apology, no lousy coupon, nothing. Over $ 10 (stupidly I tipped them) for some dough and cheese.
Will never be back, even though I work right down the street. If you pick up an order you placed online, be sure to check it before you leave, since apparently they can’t configure their website to process orders correctly.
UPDATE: After emailing corporate, I was mailed a gift certificate for a large 1 topping pizza.
We picked one up on a Saturday evening and were also given free soft drinks while waiting.
I do appreciate that the corporate office took time to rectify the situation.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Called to order delivery was put on hold for almost 10 mins. Called back got hung up on. Finally got through, the person said delivery would be an hr and 45 min wait so we decided to pick it up. Thought it would be easy since they have a drive through window to pick orders up. When we pulled up there was no one at the drive through window. We waited a few minutes thinking someone would come to help us. NOPE! We ended up getting out of the car to an open side door and saying hello for the next 2 – 3 mins. The place looked like they had one person working answering phones. Finally a cook showed up I think I scared him when I said hello, can we get someone to help us? He walked to the front and all throughout the dining area to find another woman who looked beyond annoyed to help us get our order. While she was ringing us up the girl on the phone proceeded to tell her about a disgruntled customer who had been waiting for over an hour for her delivery. The woman proceeded to roll her eyes and ring us up. 1 star because the pizza was the norm and we didn’t have any complaints about it. The management here needs help!

First time ordering from this Round Table location and it seems like it will also be the last unfortunately.
We had high hopes for the maui zaui pizza as my friend had ordered it 3+ times from other locations and raved about it. However, at this location the maui zaui pizza was very disappointing for multiple reasons:
— Hardly any polynesian sauce (pizza was very dry and hard to eat)
— Skinny crust was too thick and very undercooked
Also, we received the wrong pizza which we only realized when we reached home. We ordered 1 maui zaui with Ham and 1 maui zaui with pepperoni, yet we received 2 maui zaui with ham pizzas.

Terrible experience. Waited 30 mins for a single chicken pasta. Supervisor didn’t care about it. It seemed normal to him. I bet they practice refunding more than cooking.

There is no WiFi (Wireless) despite the info page stating so. Unfortunately, I really needed this for some work. Probably not an issue for most of you, but it needed to be stated so others don’t run into the same issue as I did.

HIGHLY DISSATISFIED! I ordered at 4pm and I am 0.4miles away. Got a call at 4:44pm saying there was no apple juice so I could replace it with a soda. Got another call asking for my room number at 5:03pm. My food didn’t get her until 5:25pm when it says that it is a 9minute walk away! Then when the flippin driver left I realized he never brought my sauce for my wings! I called at 5:29pm for my sauce. It turned 6:09pm and no one was here yet with my sauce. After 30 whole minutes! So I ended up canceling! I do NOT recommend ordering from here unless you can wait for hours!

Great customer service, Pat was awesome! Pizza was delicious, wombo combo and pepperoni did not disappoint. Don’t forget to look up coupons and ask for what the specials of the day are, saved us $ 29 on this visit.

«IF» I were ever to return to this establishment I would only order a cup of water because it’s free and I would never spend my money on hair pizza again. My 3 year old had the royal treatment and pleasure of receiving a pube slice of pizza. And when he wanted a raspberry iced tea to drink he was given water instead. This cafeteria style restaurant sucked so much that when I left I forgot where I parked. Because all I could think about was how crappy my experience was. The crust was still doughy, the pizza was greasy and the employees were way to comfortable to pretend fight in the kitchen. Maybe they thought they were knights working at round table. Ive served 6 years in the marine corps and have had my fair share of heinous food but this wins the crown no pun intended. Don’t ever eat here!

I Ordered delivery at 4:45pm. Estimated time of arrival was 5:52pm. Did not receive my order until 6:45pm. Please if you know your going to be late call the customer and let them know that your going to be late otherwise we would’ve just ordered from another pizza place who can get it done.
On top of that here’s some advice. Learn to take down phone numbers correctly. Verify the phone number with the customer while still on the phone.
When the pizza finally arrived it was barely warm and poorly put together not even cooked all the way. The delivery boy was actually one of the managers Brian who «sincerly» apologizes. Offers compensation for the late delivery but only on the «next» delivery.
There won’t be a next time. Who in their right minds wants a 2 hour cold pizza. Writing a letter to corporate. This was too complacent.
*update* disregard this post corporate was kind enough to hook it up for a free VIP pass which included a free large pizza. On top of that the date in which I ordered the pizza there was a high volume of traffic due to the Opening for the first 49er game at the new Santa Clara Levi Stadium. Thanks round table.

We had three pizzas for an after hour social from a nearby technical seminar. One of the three pizzas was one of the best vegetarian pizza I have had in a long time. It had marinated artichoke hearts and the cheese had lots of flavor. I would definitely get that again even though I am mostly a meat loving pizza guy. The other vegetarian pizza didn’t have that artichoke on it and it was very boring and not flavorful. The third was their meat pizza with everything thrown on it including bacon bits. It was okay and was salty from all those processed meats which is standard fare for these types of pizza. I would give this place another star except the service is indifferent and the helpers attitudes were lazy. Guess its hard to motivate servers working in a pizza joint in the most dynamic and well paid part of the country.

Yes, I get that this outlet is popular with the lunch crowd given their buffet, and the lack of good options in the immediate area, but come on, people, this is essentially below-​average chain pizza. Maybe any pizza tastes good when it’s with good company at a busy hour, but come here during an off hour and it’s got the same dead, uninspired vibe as the Carl’s Jr. that used to reside here — right down to the pizza itself.
If you want better pizza, head to a better chain like Patxi’s, Unilocal up a good, authentic, independent outlet, or head up to SF for the gourmet treatment.

I am a pizza connoisseur. Have eaten Pizza for decades now. I love roundtable, always have always will. I am giving these guys a 3 out of 5 stars because, even though they use the same ingredients, my pizzas have come out looking/​feeling sloppily made both of the times I’ve ordered from this specific pizza parlor. The first time I purchased a west coast combo and it was okay-​ish but was missing basil. Not the end of the world, but it definitly took away from my pizza in terms of flavor and appearance overall. Fast forward six months later and I bought from them a Maui Waui combo. It tastes good. The pizza however looked «sad». All my toppings were concentrated on the center of the pizza and some peices of green onion were like half the size of my pinky — green onions shouldve been chopped to half the length of a pinky nail.
I’m not here to gripe you guys out… I think they deserve to know that their pizza needs a bit more love and to be made with more love. I recommend the Mary Location unless you cannot absolutely get your roundtable fix elsewhere.

Pizza buffet serving «Conveyor Belt» pizza and salad.
Pros:
Clean with plenty of seating.
Salad was fresh and salad bar clean (Hate when the salad dressing spoons are all nasty).
Pizza was kept plentiful and hot.
Cons:
Sign says «Use new plate with each visit». I get it and want to use a new plate with each visit! But the only way you get a new plate is to ask for it from the lady running the counter who is serving 16 million other people.
Left soda on table to get new plate (see above) returned to find soda gone and table clean. Back to the counter again to get new soda and subsequently a new seat… ugh!
Price to value is marginal at almost $ 12.00 for buffet.
Yeah 3 stars.
