Established in 1993.

Sight & Sound, had its beginning in March of 1989 when Mark R. Andrade made his entry into the Home Automation industry. With some rough roads in the beginning, Sight & Sound has been successful in attracting and retaining customers. Since the rough begin, Sight & Sound has experienced a steady growth in business. A new company was formed in 1996 to accommodate growth in sales and the expanding market. The company’s new name was Sight & Sound Security Incorporated. With our firm customer base and strong market recognition S & S is posed to continue to grow into the 21st century. With continued focus and dedication to customer service and high quality products, S & S will continue to be on the cutting edge of the Home Automation Industry.

I worked with Sight & Sound Security on a renovation project of my home. They updated my security system, audio system and lighting control system. They were very professional and Todd did a wonderful job keeping the project under budget.

Absolutely stay away from this company if you have any choice. In my case I didn’t, as my home builder uses this company to do the security and communications (HDMI pre wiring) work. I have certainly given my feedback to the builder in person but please if you have a choice, stay away from this company.
Their customer services is a joke. Getting hold of someone to give you a security system walkthrough, speaker — home theater install consultation is impossible. I am trying for last 3 weeks and still haven’t found anyone. They don’t reply to email. the latest appointment they can schedule is 2 PM on weekday — no appointments on weekends.
I am all for supporting local businesses but not at the cost of customer service !

Sight & Sound needs to really work on their professionalism and strategization. The end product was far less than excellent for the size job and faith I put in their hands.
They did put me through many tough situations during a lengthy installation period. Most of it was not communicating with other sub’s they needed to align with, strategizing how to do what i asked and scheduling, but there were service issues at times too. I was a large customer for them with greater than usual demands and they often fell short of what I expected. I must point out that my demands were not extraordinary.
This is an edit of my original post. I upgraded the quality of it.
Sight & Sound needs some work to be a first class low-​voltage installer, but they seem to be working on it.

No stars. This is the worst company. I inherited the alarm system from the previous owner and was told it was deactivated. Two weeks ago I woke up to a loud siren that woke up my neighbors even and when I tried to get them to tell me how to turn it off they wanted to charge me money. I finally convinced them to tell me how to shut it off only to get another siren. I made an appointment since j had no choice and waited for 2 hours and they never showed up and proceeded to tell me I was wrong and my appointment was later. DO NOT this company.

I inherited S&S security and fire alarm from the previous owner a few years ago. I had to cancel their service a couple of months ago b/​c my alarm system had not been working for months (consistently beeping sound at night) while I was still paying for it, they sent a tech over who couldn’t figure out the problem and I wasn’t able to reach them for weeks! After my cancellation, they continue to charge my credit card, I called them several times, they had not responded or refunded me. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company! I think that’s totally unacceptable.

Wow, I’m first shocked to see that finally someone from this company after almost 2 years of my review decided to look into their poor service problems. Props to them for finally waking up, the problem is that now in addition to poor service, they also are dishonest, because they never refunded me or apologized. My credit card co called them to dispute the charges after I filed an online complaint. Bad.
