I’ve been going to see Dr. Vid for 8 years going on 9years now. I’ve had major back pain from multiple car accidents and with my profession as a hairstylist, it doesn’t help with the situation. Dr. Vid has been helping me treat the pain in a different way than most Doctors in his field. Sports Chiropractic is the way to go and he also works on your soft tissue to help fix your pain. I highly recommend Dr. Vid and his team!

Dr. Vid helped me recover from a painful hip injury (from tennis) he diagnosed and treated me for about 4 months. I am so thankful for his help and guidance, as in the past I would have had an X-​ray, taken some pain meds and hoped for the best. I played hard (82 matches in 14 mo.) and made it to the «Norcal Grandprix» all while being treated by Dr. Vid-​amazing! He is my «goto» guy if I have any sports injury-​large or small as I trust him and find his treatment logical, and practical.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am for Dr. Vid at Spine & Sports Institute. With his help my chronic low back pain is gone — his approach is different than other chiropractors I have gone to in the past — he actually spends the time to give you the knowledge and tools to get better and stronger. Rather than just giving me an adjustment and sending me on my way, he got to the root of my problem and helped me fix it. Very highly recommended.

One day I probably moved in a «wrong way» and started limping. I got so scared that I even went to a regular physician who told me to eat Aleve, which helped after about 10 days. Then I thought I should give chiropractic another try (previously was not impressed). Dr. Vid is pretty cool. I feel Much Much better! The problem — he is not a magician and you have to do the work outside of his office, which is not avoidable, even if previous Chiropractors told you so.

I started visiting Vid while recovering from intense lower back pain. When I started, I came in with very low flexibility, confidence or with any sort of game plan for recovery. I also had a strong bias that the field of chiropractice was «soft science» somewhere between physical therapy and a massage.
I was proved wrong on all counts. My favorite aspect about Vid is his philosophy of trying to get you back to an active state and not just back to where you were before you got hurt. That’s refreshing.
My treatment has mostly consisted of some strength training exercises and some accupressure. He also «adjusts» my lower back and upper back. Most people (including myself) fear the adjustment but its just a way to teach your body to assume the correct posture.
The biggest down side about this place is that they don’t directly bill insurance. And hence I’m mired in paper work.

Dr Vid helped me get well! I was suffering from back pain from playing too much tennis for the past year. I’m pain-​free now! Goodbye, Tylenol! (I’m allergic to all NSAIDs.) Awesome staff! I’ve had 6 treatments and I’m down to every month visit now. I’m continuing my strengthening exercises Dr Vid recommended and that keeps my back strong. I’m playing better, too. It’s all about getting better to play tennis!

I came to Dr. Vid with foot pain from plantar fasciitis. During the sessions, in addition to spine alignment, he found knots along my legs and worked on them. He taught me new strenghtening exercises in each session, that I had to do repetitions of everyday. It took about 2 – 3 months, but I am a lot better now. I have been traveling and doing a lot of walking with almost no pain!
Dr. Vid is easy to work with. He takes time to explain the condition and treatment plan; and made sure I was not giving up hope even when the pain was bad.
I do not have out-​of-​network coverage, so the bills added up really fast for my treatment here.

I was referred to Dr. Vid Jindal by my PAMF Sports Medicine surgeon following ankle surgery. My ankle just didn’t seem to be healing as quickly as I believe it should, even though I was doing PT. Dr. Vid spent the first session analyzing not just my ankle, but all of my body mechanics. He tested the strength throughout my body and was able to show me the areas that needed to get stronger and explained how it impacted my ankle recovery. With the Active Release Therapy, Chiropractic Adjustments, and at-​home exercises, I have fully recovered. I just completed the SJ Rock & Roll Half Marathon this month thanks to my surgeon, Dr. Vid and some hard work.

I had a soccer injury back in February and I was not sure whether to see a chiropractor or an MD. After receiving a referral, I made an appointment with my first chiropractor, Dr. Vid Jindal. First visit to Dr. Vid was awesome, he answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. During the sessions with Dr. Vid, he developed a plan for me and I was able to resume my soccer playing. I am glad that I got to know Dr. Vid.

There are a lot of places to choose for your body aches/​imbalances and injuries so unless you have a friend with some first hand experience at a particular place you really only have the Unilocal community to lean on… and for this particular place they have been SPOT ON!
I was here on travel working a graveyard shift and decided I’d make use of my day time and finally get checked out for all upper back/​neck issues from working at a computer and probably having bad posture as well as aches and pains from past injuries playing sports and lifting (my particular pain was in my left shoulder I’m guessing rotator cuff issues that hurt during and after doing bench and incline press)
For my first visit Dr. Rhodes started with a very in-​depth evaluation of my range of motion, then moved on to doing some body work. Using Active Release Techniques he dug into my neck, chest, and lat/​trap areas (FYI it can be a little intense but just breathe and the temporary pain due to frozen muscles will subside). Feel free to ask questions during this process if you are interested in know why you’re having these issues and how this work will help — Dr. Rhodes is super patient and will explain what you want to know.
Keep in mike that issues that have taken month/​years to develop can’t be fixed overnight and will require doing your homework over a long period of time, but I wish I lived here so I could keep coming back and continue on this process of getting back to where I should be. Locals should take advantage! Luckily I’ll be here long enough for one more visit.

Officially middle-​aged, yet still playing hard. Martial arts, powerlifting, agility, etc. I’m always working out, but unfortunately have had a plague of injuries of late; strained MCL, sciatica, and recently a neck issue causing numbness in my hand and arm. I was recommended to Spine and Sports Institute by my trainer Jason Agrella (who also works there). I have seen Dr Vid for treatment for each injury and have been successfully rehabilitated each time! Back to full workouts! I am anti-​surgery and a true believer other options are available. But no lying; some of the treatment can be painful and it’s imperative you do the assigned exercises and movements between treatments, stuff they like to call homework. Dr Vid and Jason are excellent at what they do; highly recommend SASI.

I wish I could give Dr. Vid 100 points but your system doesn’t allow me to. I started seeing Dr. Vid about a year ago and the progress has been tremendous. Dr. Vid has a unique and effective approach to working with individuals. However you must do your homework. Thank you for allowing me to walk around without pain!

Dr Vid Jindal is the best chiropractor I have seen. I was new to this chiropractic world when my backpain started. I visited many popular chiropractors in the area and nothing worked out for almost an year. I also tried searching online for some exercises and this didnt work too. I had almost lost hope and felt I would have to live with this pain all my life. I read a lot of good reviews about Dr Jindal and decided to give one last try to chiropractic treatment. Dr Jindal tries to get to the root of the problem. I personally feel that he is an expert in this field. He knows a lot of different techniques to relax your muscles and ease the pain. He quickly understood and diagnosed my problem. With his treatment my back pain has almost disappeared. I also felt that he is a very honest and ethical man. He never schedules appointments unnecessarily. The bottom line is he hears your pain and wants you to get better. I wish I had met him earlier so that I could have saved some money, time and headache.

Dr Vid really wants to get to cause of your pain. My wife has been receiving multiple epidurals for her debilitating back pain for the past 2yrs. Dr Vid asked a lot of questions and put her thru different movements before suggesting a course of action. FINALLY found someone to provide the correct diagnosis! Dr Vid spent plenty of time giving some basic exercises so my wife could build and work up from there. He is not a typical Snap crackle and pop kind of chiropractor.

Dr. Vid was not my normal chiropractic experience and I think he is proud of that fact. Dr. Vid is not here for your quick fix (though definitely possible), he is here to educate you as to exactly WHY you have the pains you do. I think of him more as an «athletic productivity and longevity insurance plan», and we are all athletes whether we realize it or not. I was referred to Dr. Vid by my Kettlebell coach Jason Agrella (as equally highly recommended). Dr. Vid was able to quickly show that my painful neck (nerve pains shooting from neck down arm) were mostly due to tight pecs. Who knew??! Then, after just weeks of practicing a few simple stretches, my pains were gone and I had mobility and flexibility in my upper body that I didn’t know needed. Dr. Vid explained simply what why body was doing and why I was experiencing what I was experiencing. I felt like his main objective was to coach me to take care of my own health, my own body. I am pain-​free for the first time in three years. I’ve always had a bad back and have been to lots of chiropractors over the years with pretty good overall success, but three years ago, my back really went out. I went to three chiropractors in that time with some relief of pain, but never got totally better. Then I started working with Dr. Jindal three months ago and have been pain-​free (that’s right, no pain _​at all_​) for about a month. Jindal is a sports chiropractor, which means he works to get his patients body back to functioning. That’s what he’s done for me! What he does is very different from other chiropractors I’ve seen.
I thought I was going to be trapped in an old lady’s craggy body for the rest of my life in my late 30s (yikes!). Jindal not only helped my body heal but has given me techniques I can use on my own to keep me feeling good. His business model is about helping his patients get better (and not have to see him) which is different from the majority of chiropractors who assume you’ll be in to see them for a long time.
I highly recommend Dr. Jindal to everyone I know.

Dr. Walton does some amazing work! Running caused my hamstrings to tighten up so bad that they were ruining my life. I went to see him and he dug in and freed it all up — I was instantly better. He also gave me some exercises to work with, which have seemed to help with my performance while working out and in general. He’s also super down-​to-​earth and funny!

Thanks to Dr. Rhodes Walton, there will soon be only a memory left of the intermittent back pain I’ve lived with my whole life. My back is as strong now as it was when I was 20 (I’m nearly twice that now), and it will soon be much stronger than that.
After an injury put me in the worst state of my life, I decided a year ago to get serious about healing my back. I started with an on-​site physical therapist at work. I made steady progress at first, but reached a plateau after several months. I was better, but not nearly strong enough to engage in my favored activities (snowboarding, skateboarding, basketball, and aikido) without serious risk of injury.
That’s when a chance meeting put me in contact with Dr. Walton. At first I was seeing him twice weekly, but thanks to his expert goal-​directed treatment, I’m now seeing him only once each month.
Each treatment session consists of:
— a quick series of tests to assess motion quality and strength of different body parts, and using the results to form a treatment strategy for the rest of the session
— massage techniques such as myofascial release are employed, targeting the areas identified in the first stop, and then tests to verify that the chosen strategy worked as intended
— a short series of spinal adjustments (only a minute or two, less than I expected)
— learning new exercises, and revisiting the «homework» exercises from the last visit
— a gloriously relaxing 10 minute rest on a table with electrical stimulation of my back muscles
I can’t say enough about how important it is to do the homework exercises. These are specially designed… the goal is not simply to build strength, but rather to «trick» the body into replacing sub-​optimal movement patterns with better ones. Once this happens, strength grows quickly, almost without trying.
Dr. Walton is a great teacher, and enthusiastically explains the reasoning behind each of the exercises. I believe that this knowledge makes the exercises even more effective than if you were to try to perform them without understanding why.
This is already running a bit long, but I can’t resist one anecdote…
This summer, our team has an intern who plays for his college basketball team. Six months ago, my back wouldn’t have lasted for 5 minutes while defending this 20 year old gym rat… it must be the hormones in the milk, because they grow the kids strong these days :-) Now, I can give him a run for his money, at least until my lungs give out.
I highly recommend Dr. Walton, whether you’ve decided to get serious about overcoming an injury, or want to optimize your performance.

Dr. Jindal is a wonderful sports chiropractor. He does a very thorough initial assessment, both verbally — in asking me what was bothering me and what I was hoping to get out of the sessions, as well as physically — in manipulating my muscles/​ligaments to see what range of motion I currently had. I originally started seeing him for a herniated disc in my neck, but have since used him for hamstring issues and general running/​leg issues as well. I’ve been to several chiropractors, PTs, and doctors over the years with many sports injuries. One of the major things that impressed me about Vid was how well he looks at the whole picture (my whole body) to figure out what issues might have caused the injury in the first place (And also takes into account your work place environment to make ergonomic suggestions). I think a lot of people when they hear chiropractor, they think, «oh so he cracked your back», but it’s so much more than that. and sometimes doesn’t even include that. Vid has a wide range of physical therapy knowledge and muscle manipulations. During any one visit, he will do muscle therapy, align my spine, hook up the electric stim machine, tape me up, and show me new exercises to do. This is not a doctor that wants to trap you into seeing him all the time. He not only treats the initial problem, but shows you ways to prevent it in the future. I highly recommend him to all my injured friends.

Historically, I’ve been super skeptical about chiropractors but I came to see Dr. Vid after a running injury left me looking for any helpful option. That was almost a year ago. Dr. Vid’s approach is completely holistic and very much about doing what’s best for the patient as opposed to getting people in and out. I feel like he genuinely cares about my well being, and I can’t even begin to say how much better I feel after he treated me — initially for the pain, then to support me as my stress fracture healed and through rehabilitation, and now finally to support me as I start training again for a new race. Dr. Vid was an athlete himself, so he understands the drive some of us feel to get back out there, and he works with that. My husband started having some neck pain at the beginning of this year, and I encouraged him to see Dr. Vid. He did, and now he’s been feeling better after his treatment plan has begun as well. I highly recommend him if you feel like you might benefit from seeing a chiropractic doctor — and really, even if you just feel like you could use a tune-​up. Totally worth it.
